”Run Free is an alternate universe MMM shifter novel, with fated mates, mpreg, an age-gap relationship, and a happy ending.”

This sums up everything I love!

Always on the run, stealing for food, sometimes a dirty job, and finding a place to sleep.
That’s what Jax and Hugo been doing the last seven years. Jax is an omega and Hugo a human they love each. Hugo helps Jax through his heats and knows he’ll never be enough. Not in Jax's eyes, Hugo is his mate and he loves him.

One day, when they were on a

The Story
Jax is an omega, Hugo is human, and their love is forbidden. They’ve spent the last seven years on the streets, relying on no one but each other.

When they collide with Dominic, they realize something has always been missing. Jax is keen to get to know the alpha, but Hugo resists the mate-call, worrying that, as a human, there will be no room for him.

The only way they can be free to love each other is to escape the UK, but will Dominic leave his life behind to find home with two younger

I couldn’t not read this story once I’d read the blurb, it hooked me right off the bat. Then once I started reading I was immediately drawn in…I even found myself getting antsy for Jax and Hugo during the first third or so of the book when so much was up in the air for them. You could see just how dedicated to each other they are, even when feelings of inadequacy continually rise to the surface for Hugo. The status of shifters in this particular universe is precarious and with relations between ...more

Run Free is a really interesting take on the omegaverse and the world building drew me in to the story right away. Not only are the alphas/omegas actually able to shift in this world, but the story has sort of a dystopian feel that makes it very unique. I loved the set up here, with the idea that shifters were created by the government as super soldiers, but then no longer needed or wanted when the war was over. They are mistreated, tracked, and given limited rights

Run Free by Colette Davison is a Run Free is an alternate universe MMM shifter novel, with fated mates, knotting, mpreg, an age-gap relationship, and a happy ending. Age-gap is one of my favorite tropes in romance novels and I love shifter novels with fated mates and mpreg so I really wanted to read this one. I really liked it so I didn't get disappointed. The story of Jax, Hugo and Dominic is really well written and I loved it. Jax is an omega and Hugo human, their love forbidden. After 7 years ...more

Fantastic Loved This to say its my first M-Preg with 3 Mates and Colette's first Fated Mates and M-Preg she's done a Fantastic job got so into it I coudn't put it down. We've got Hugo who's human and Jax who's a Fox Shifter omega there are forbidden to be together so they are living on streets struggling thinking only need each other until they run into Dominic who's a Alpha Wolf Shifter and realise he's there soulmate and all meant to be together. This was the author's first time writing this type of book, and it was pretty good. I LOVED Jax and Hugo. Their love could be felt, it poured off the pages. They went through so much and you felt it as they went through it all. I didn't feel that connection with Dominic, something felt off with him. I didn't understand how he could just up and leave either. I think this would have been much better as a MM book instead of MMM, at least fo

Jax, an unregistered omega fox shifter, and Hunter live on the street. Their love, although blessed by fate, is forbidden as the government severely punishes human-shifter relationships and does not recognize fated mates in the case of mere humans. It turns out, however, that the situation of the two is more complicated than they thought when they accidentally bump into Dominic, the alpha wolf shifter, who is clearly their soul mate. Everything gets even worse as Jax and Hunter come into conflic ...more

I like the set-up for this alternate universe. Drew me into the story from the beginning.

Intense emotional/romantic but zero sexual connection between two of three fated mates

Two alphas are 100% tops so they don’t penetrate - and therefore don’t have sex with each other? Or any graphic sexual (as opposed to romantic) relations worth mentioning/describing? For me, an extraordinarily warped view of romance between “alpha” male characters who are supposedly fully mated.

To me it mostly reads as physically MFM (Alpha-Omega-Alpha), not a full triad menage, despite a full threeway romantic

As hard as this story was to read at times, it’s such a good one. It was hard because my heart broke for two of the MCs. Having to live on the streets, wondering if they’d survive, all because one parent was abusive and more so when he found out he had a shifter for a son, and the other when his parents found out their son’s friend was the shifter. And it broke my heart for them.
Jax and Hugo being on the streets and on the run for seven years was really getting so weary, but they had no other ch

A different take on shifters; I loved it!

So, Run Free…it's a really different take on shifters than I've ever read. The premise is that the British military created them as a secret "super soldier" during WW-II. After the war was over the military decides they are too powerful to leave around and is going to destroy them. That plan was overturned but strict controls were put on shifters and they lack most freedoms that humans take for granted. Also, human/shifter couples are forbidden. All of th

A very timely storyline dealing with a current and poignant topic of races being disenfranchised. A race of shifters created for the entire reason of winning a war against a genocidal purist party is only subjected to the same treatment they were created to thwart. Don’t let the dark beginning throw you off the story is very engaging and heartfelt.

Beautifully written with very relatable characters. Dominic, Hugo and Jax are each very individual and have different ways to cope and deal with thing

This book took me on a journey, beyond what I had anticipated! I've read other mpreg shifter books, but Colette's interpretation is one of the more heartbreaking versions I've seen. For an author who's never written in this area before, I'm impressed by how thorougly she planned out the history of shifters and brought this unique world to life. Hugo and Jax are together at the start of this story, and the majority of their adventure deals with adding Dominic into their relationship and escaping ...more

Run Free is an entertaining shifter menage romance by Colette Davison.

I am extremely impressed with the way the author handled the world building of this alternate universe at the beginning. It sums up everything perfectly, in a fun way.

As for the story itself, it's riveting and compelling, with three likable characters. Jax and Hugo have a complex, painful past. When they meet Dominic, everything is set to change. The connection is instant, but they certainly have a long fight ahead to be tog

Colette's first shifter+mpreg, and I can't believe how good it was. I knew I'd love this book.
It first started as an Aladdin retelling, but turned out something else. But now I can't stop thinking about an Aladdin retelling story too, so please, I need that too :)

Jax and Hugo were both lovely and really sweet characters. I loved their relationship. You could tell the pure love those two shared, they were really fated and loved each other so much. I love it when the love between the characte

I discovered shifter books about a year ago and I fell in love with them. I find them fascinating and it’s always so interesting to see what each author will do with the lore and the tropes. What I really really loved about this book was that the existence of shifters was explained. There was a why and a how and it was done greatly. I really appreciated that and it helped me get into the story and connect with the characters. It’s an omega-verse book about love and fated mates and I adored the r ...more

According to the author’s afterwords, this is her first time writing shifter and mpreg. Well, congratulations, she was successful in creating a world where the existence of shifters has a scientific explanation, but where they unfortunately suffer the same prejudices that many minorities had and still have to endure in our world.

The storyline is centred around the journey of the three MCs to a place where they could be free to live and love as they please and to give in to the mate call that uni

This is Colette Davison's first foray into shifters and mpreg, and I loved it.

The world presented, the creation of shifters were intriguing and it was hard to see the difficulties Jax and Hugo had to navigate in order to survive. Their love for each other was beautifully written, like a warmth reaching through the pages. And I adored how the author made Dominic fit in with them. It wasn't easy for either of the three, feelings got hurt, insecurities came to the surface, not to mention their thre

This was Colette‘a first MPEG novel and hopefully it won’t be her last. I loved the idea that shifters were created by the government to help win the army. It’s like something they would do if could get away with it.

Jax is an unregistered omega and Hugo is his human mate. Both of these make him a target . They need to move constantly no where is home. That is until the run into Alpha Dominic. Jax is drawn to him instantly but Hugo is unsure. It’s been just him and Jax for so long. But when fate

This was a good story and while I really enjoyed it, it was also a heavy story which I didn’t get expect. Hugo and Jax have been hiding and running for years because of all the stupid laws in regards to shifters and when they meet Dominic it makes their lives even more complicated. When they have to basically run away and Dominic inadvertently ends ups being one to help they all find the connection they need, however, it takes a long journey for them to find the freedom they need. Run Free by Colette Davison is a paranormal mmm romance with an age gap. It is based in an alternative universe with shifters, fated mates, and mpreg. The world created here is interesting - I hope we get to see more books in this universe. I find the politics, the social rules, and the underground network fascinating.

The characters in this story - Jax, Hugo, and Dominic share a strong bond worth fighting for. Their interactions ran from sweet to hot. They face struggles in their journey in lov

They have been living on the streets fighting to survive. My heart broke for them. Jax wants to get to know him but Hugo is worried there will be no room for him. Sigh! Just love a book by Colette Davison, her slow burning well written love stories are such treat when you jump into reading her wonderful books. Opening the first page of this shifter romance leads you into a world where the story holds your attention keeping you invested till the very last page because you have to know how Hugo, Jax,and Dominic work together to find what all of us are searching for their happy ever after. This is a MMM/Shifter/Mpreg book which is a new genre for Colette, but she brought it home and some. The three main characters are so different but work well. The two youngest MCs have had a hard life and then they meet Dominic, an Alpha. Their lives change drastically. But Colette has created a wonderful background story that pulls you in.
This is unlike anything that I've read by Colette, it's darker, full of angst but truly enjoyable. Although you get an HEA, expect a full on journey first.

Different. I don’t read much mpreg, but it seems like this one has more unique ideas than most. It has kind of a post-apocalyptic feel to it, with a brave new world ending.
Hugo takes such good care of Jax. Dominic fits in well with them. Their journey takes them halfway across the world to a culture completely new to all of them.
It’s a sweet story at the core of it, wrapped up in the challenges they have to face. I enjoyed it!

This one is so cute and unique. This is a fated mates, omegaverse, and mpreg story. I loved the whole explanation in the beginning and the science behind the omegas and shifters. I also enjoyed the pairing of two shifters and a human, you don't usually see that. There was tons of sweetness between these guys and reading a story at a time like this was a breath of fresh air. Great story and great writing with great characters that pull you in right from the start.

Colette Davison has done it again. She is back with her latest book, Run Free, and she blew me away. The storyline was great and the plot was original. I was pulled in from page one. Add to that a great cast of characters, and the book was next to impossible to put down. Each character can stand on their own, and Jax, Hugo, and Dominic have a complex relationship that the author flawlessly mends together.

I highly recommend this book and suggest you one-click today! 5 stars.

I haven't read that many paranormal books but I loved this one. It was actually quite informative for me too. I liked the story line. The connection between Jax and Hugo is so well described and Dominic finds in well, like a missing piece of their life. I like to read about people's struggles and for them to find their happy place. Really well written story.
