Kylo Lee, prospect to the Diamond MC, makes a career shift to help better his future. He doesn’t know it will change him in more ways than one, and it’s all to do with a certain man who confuses and annoys him, while sending his emotions wild.
Just when everything is falling into place, life takes a turn down a road where Kylo doesn’t want to go. His past comes back to bite him in the ass. Pain surrounds him and all that can make him happy is vengeance, and the man who surprisingly still stands at his side.
Note: This is book two in the Polished P & P mm romance series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Never a Saint is book two in the Polished P & P series by Lila Rose. This is a M/M, gay awakening, MC romance. Believe me when I say that I was not prepared for how much I was going to fall in love with this book. Where I really enjoyed the first book, Wreck Me Forever, which was Lucas and Wade’s story, I fell madly in love with this one. This is Kylo’s book.
Zion “Saint” Storey is Luca’s older brother whom we met in the first book. He is straight and is well known for his play boy way of life. He’s never been in a relationship; he just enjoys the frequent company of the club bunnies that hang around the MC. Zion is a member of the Diamond MC. He is also part owner of Polished P & P, where Kylo is currently interviewing for a position. He always thought Kylo was good looking. He was man enough to admit that. But he never thought of Kylo in any other type of way, just as he had never thought of any man in that way…until THAT happened.
Kylo Lindon is twenty three and is a prospect for the MC. Kylo is trying to put away some money so he can get his own place. So he decides to apply for a position at Polished P & P. Kylo might have had a pretty big crush on Zion when he first met him but he knew that Zion was straight so he forced himself to get over it. Still, he made him nervous. But then their interview took a whole new direction and everything changed.
“When I make my mind up about somethin’, I make sure it happens to get what I want.”
Being inside of Zion’s head was hilarious. It didn’t bother him in the least that he was suddenly attracted to another man for the first time. He just knew he felt it and was going to go with it. He wanted Kylo so there was no question about it, Kylo would be his. He’d just have to accept it.
“Was this moving too fast? I didn’t know, but I wasn’t stressing over it. I was a “go with the flow” type of guy.”
What did I love about this book? Everything!!! I spent a good portion of the time reading smiling from ear to ear. Zion was that much fun. And then there’s the hotness factor! Kylo had no idea what to think of this new Zion. I highlighted so many quotes, there is no way I can share them all. The man made me swoon. Once he made up his mind, he was all in. He was at Kylo’s side no matter what.
“He was special. And he was mine. I’d make sure I did everything in my power to keep it that way.”
If M/M romance is your thing, and you like a book that will make you smile, swoon and sigh. This is for you. Don’t get me wrong, things aren’t always easy for these two. The darkness in Kylo’s past finds him again and threatens everything these two are just starting to build. But Zion is fully committed to Kylo, and he will protect his man, no matter what comes their way.
“He was in my heart, my mind, and my soul. He was mine, and I wanted my future with him in it.”
I need an alpha male. That was all I was after because, like I said, I truly needed it. And I thought it's mc soooo he should be a alpha... However, life doesn't work like that. The characters were rather cheesy and not so alpha, it lacked depth. The book itself was good enough until 50% in. The timeline was too short (at least it felt like it because of the way it was written), Saint's complete interest in his first gay relationship was too quick. There was no angst, no holding back, no frustration... they just jumped right in. And Saint apparently smiled/smirked all the time. It was like he was never serious.
The thing is though, it was still interesting and made me smile, but after the 50% I just kinda lost interested as I felt everything as already happened (expect the penetration sex). Had this one had more angst, more alpha male feeling and the timeline longer, than I definitely could've quite liked - even loved - this one. Oh and I wasn't all that in for calling Kylo ‘lover’ or ‘boo boo’. Didn't like the feeling it game me... I had originally planned on starting on book one first, but something just held me back from starting it, and after reading this one, I'm not sure the author's writing style is for me.
Th Characters: The list is long so I've put it in a spoilers tag.
Quick basic facts: Genre: - (Adult) Contemporary Romance (M/M). Series: - Series (Can Be Read As A Standalone), Book One. Love triangle? - No. Cheating? - No. HEA? - Yes. Favorite character? - Carter Warren. Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Unsure, I did somewhat like her Out of the Blue book... Would I recommend this book/series? - Not really... But it's still an okay read, so maybe? Will I read this again in the future? - No. Rating - 2.5/2 stars.
Kylo and Saint's story had me instantly sitting up and taking notice of how hot these men were. Their first scene was off the charts sexy and from there it only got steamier. It made it even more intriguing to see how willing they were to explore their new feelings for each other, especially Saint who had never been with a man before. Which I loved maybe a little too much. It was so fun to see that Saint was the one that was newly feeling an attraction to a man and yet he was the one that was pushing Kylo into giving him a chance. He knew he wanted Kylo and no matter what he was going to have him.
If you're a lover of M/M like i am then I definitely recommend this book. Or even if you're just looking to get into the genre for the first time I think this would be an amazing book for your first time. It is connected to Wreck Me Forever but can be read as a standalone in my opnion.

Tropes: hurt/comfort, bi awakening, motorcycle club Feels: 3.5/5 Steam*: 2.5/5 Kinks: toys, dirty talk Angst: low HEA: yes Pairing: MM Triggers/potential icks/content warnings: homophobia, abusive and neglectful parents, addict parents, assault, murder
Reread May 20, 2024 - writing a review now because I wasn't writing reviews back when I originally read this.
Kylo is 23 and bisexual. His parents were abusive neglectful addicts and he left their home at age 14 and was taken in by a couple in the motorcycle club that Kylo is now a prospect to join. They were/are great adoptive parents, but they aren't very well off and they're getting older now. Kylo wants to earn more money to help out more and set himself up a bit better in life, so he applies for a job at the escorting business the motorcycle club runs, willing to service both men and women. The motorcycle club brother who interviews him is Saint also known as Zion. Saint is doubtful about Kylo's prowess. So of course Kylo says he could blow Saint's mind in less than 3 minutes and Saint makes him prove it, lol. It's a success, and Saint wants more and it turns into a relationship. But Kylo's job is a bit of a hurdle and his parents reappearing brings some danger into their lives.
This was an enjoyable low angst read. It's nice how focused on each other they are and how possessive they get of each other. They're protective of each other. The characters are likeable. People's reactions to their relationship are supportive and a little humorous.
I could have done without some of the misogynistic comments the characters made about women, just unnecessary. I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that Zion was with women after Kylo gave him the first BJ, but they weren't together then and they didn't get together for like a month or so after that. Fyi for readers worried about other man/other woman drama, Kylo doesn't appear to be with anyone after that first bj. His customers in the escorting business are non-sexual interactions because he was being eased into the business. Though really, that was Saint manipulating things because he wanted to be protective of Kylo and West because they are friends of his brother's and Saint was selfishly interested in Kylo. Is it a realistic portrayal of escorting? Absolutely not lol. But it's a nice light low angst read.
Some notable moments:
It's funny how preoccupied Saint is by that dildo and how he keeps mentioning it. "“Good. Now, my doctor said I had to get some rest. You gonna let me, or we could talk some more. You could tell me about that dildo?”"
"“You woke me up in the best damn way, or I would have lost out on havin’ this with you. Know it won’t be fantastic all the time. Know we’ll argue, but I need you to know I’ll do everythin’ I can to make sure you’ll be sleepin’ at my side. That you’ll still love me until we’re fuckin’ old. That’s how serious I am with you.”"
*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.
**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.

So this wasn’t everything I wanted it to be but by no means did it not hit the mark. I just wanted more from Kylo’s budding romance. It’s fine though.... I still enjoyed it and can’t wait for book three!
As soon as I finished Wreck Me Forever, I jumped straight into this one.
As Lucas’s brother, we met Zion previously. He’s a total whore and fucks all the biker girls. So it makes sense that he co-owns/runs the Diamond MC’s whorehouse.
Since Wreck and Lucas brought in some LGBTQ+ flavor they decide to add dick to the menu and hire male escorts.
Kylo is a prospect for the MC who’s openly bi and decides he could use more money and applies for the job. Zion aka Saint is dubious so to prove his skills, Kylo offers a free BJ.
And it’s the blowie of all blowies and turns this promiscuous straight man into a monogamous bi man.
It’s a good tug of war between the two but thank god, once Saint knows what he wants he goes after it with a vengeance. And what he wants is Kylo.
Saint makes this book! He’s adorable! He says the cutest shit you would never expect out of a biker dude’s mouth.
And these boys burned up the sheets until the whole damn bed was obliterated.
I LOVED this book. I'm not sure what it was exactly, but I absolutely fell in love with Saint & Kylo. I usually have a hard time continuing a series because I get so invested in the first couple. But let me tell you, these two remind me why I need to continue them.
This book starts off hot and heavy with these two stubborn people. I loved that neither backed down. Saint pulled out all the stops for pretty much the whole book trying to show Kylo how he felt. I understood why Kylo was hesitant.
My heart broke for these two towards the end. I even had a few tears leak out. It was so heartwarming to see everyone rally around Kylo. I loved that for him.
I adored the first book in this series and was excited to read Kylo’s story next as this guy was begging for a story by the way he stole the show and made Wreck work for his relationship by dropping hints about Lucas. He need his own man but who was going to be the man was intriguing. As we knew nothing is for certain when the right person comes around.
Never a Saint is the story of you guessed, Lucas’s older brother Saint. Now Saint is a different kettle of fish. He is all man, he isn’t afraid to get what he wants. And he wants Kylo. So this man is about to live up to his name and win Kylo over any way possible. He was patient and was willing to let Kylo make his mind on his own terms. It was sweet that made Saint charming despite his reputation from Lucas as hard MC man. Zion just need a push and this book was exactly what I hoped for Kylo and in some ways Saint despite not realising what was in store.
Never a Saint didn’t have the connection I felt with Wreck and Lucas but I still love the story. Rose explored the concept well of gender identity . As only you, yourself can put the identity on yourself. Saint’s journey to that was different from Wreck. No journey is the same. But Saint was quick to figure out things and so this story was hot once everything clicked into place. Kylo was sure of himself and I love how he was willing to put his mouth where them money is. The first scene between him and Saint was one of my favourites as Saint had a wakeup call he wasn’t expecting the reaction he got. I love this book was focused about the club business and this becomes an important part of the story. It does allows readers to see PP intimately and I can’t wait for the next book as it probably going to be crazy given the hints dropped in this book. PP has become one of my favourite series this year and if you love MM this series is a must read.
EVERYTHING about Kylo's story gave me all the good feels.
I am so in love with how inclusive and everybody friendly this series is.
Kylo as a whole surprised me. I did not expect the brooding dominant personality he has because he doesn't come across that way in Lucas's book. It was fascinating to see a more assertive confident side. Don't be fooled though, this man has some skeletons that haunt him.
Saint, he's the ray of naughty sunshine who takes great pleasure in watching Kylo squirm. He's definitely not his namesake for sure!. I love the mischievous wind up he is. His playful sweet nature had me falling fast and hard for him. He's impossible not to love.
I don't think either of them was ready for that unconventional start but both were to stubborn to back down and I am not mad they didn't because those three minutes were HAWT. Let me tell you.. these two have serious chemistry. The kind that is palpable. Now pair that with their stubborn won't give in nature's and you've got yourself a explosive concoction.
I live for a man who's secure enough in himself to go with the flow despite him having never been attracted to a male before. I just love the honesty in loving someone you want even if it wasn't what you thought your life would be like before that person. It's even better when that person is willing to put in the work despite the fears of the other person just to prove that they're worth fighting for. Heck yes for that.
Love is love.
I can't think of any two more perfect for each other than Kylo and Saint. Their story made my heart happy in the best ways and I legit smiled through 99.9% of it. It's a journey of self discovery and growth. It's full of teasing and laughter and so much steam. There is no back and forth bull or unnecessary drama. It's real, relatable and so damn sweet I can't even.
It's the a unexpected surprise I didn't see it coming but I want to read it all over again just to feel all those feelings and live their journey with them again. It's that damn good.
Also a confession.. as much as I loved Wreck and Lucas ... Saint and Kylo straight up snatched my soul.
I enjoyed this story so much. We met Kylo in the previous book, when he became friend with Lucas, Saint's brother. And Kylo liked Lucas but knew they would only be friends. And besides he had a secret crush on Lucas's brother, Saint. Saint wasn't gay, but from the moment he had an interview with Kylo for working at P&P there was something about Kylo that made it hard to forget about him. So he started his pursuit of getting Kylo to be his man. He knew that it would be hard as Kylo wasn't sure that Being with a man was what Saint wanted. But Saint wasn't giving up on 'His Man' 😉
I enjoyed this story. I loved the fact that the moment Saint knew there was an attraction between him and Kylo he did everything he could to be with him. I loved his playful ways with Kylo and that there was no major drama between them. Kylo was very protective of Saint and I loved how he eventually just went with flow and enjoyed their time together. Definitely a story that had laughter, love and acceptance no matter who your partner is,your brothers will always have your back💖
Fun characters, exciting events, M/M hot sexiness. Expanding their business to Escorts, the Diamond MC is moving along. Prospect Kylo, 23, lean with dark hair, applies because he needs the money, and to begin he'll just escort older ladies to dinners. But it was during the interview that something happened with Saint. From there we have the M/M awakening, of Saint, 30, co-owner of the club, tall, blonde and muscled, and it's a GFY tale, because it's only Kylo that turns Saint on. Somehow, Kylo has flipped Saint's attention and it's hot.
As their sexy times escalate with more first times for Saint, we watch the progress. Then the story turns to the MC club drama and violence, with a shooting, then a beating, and justice is taken by their hands.
I admit I was wary going in. Because Saint was such an asshole to begin with. And with the escort-rentboy plot, it took a lot harder for me to take in. I tried. As long as there's no graphic sex scenes on page with OW/OM, as long as both of my MC's haven't hooked up yet, I guess I'm good. I keep telling myself that. And thank goodness, it didn't take long for them to warm up. They're just too adorable. 😍😍😍
Now I'm waiting for West's story. I have a hunch, I would like it. And it's releasing next year? You're kidding, right? 😢😢😢
So after the last book I read nearly damn killed me I needed something light with zero angst.
I really liked the last book (Wreck Me Forever) even though it was cheesy as hell.
This book worked for me because it was light sweet GFY story and it was hot but the plot was the same as the first one and there was moments I felt like I already read it.
“Call me Master” said Zion. “ Never” I said “I’ll wear you down”, said Zion And so he did.
Zion’s awakening was a surprise to all of Diamond MC, including himself. Even more surprising was the one who woke him up. But what a revelation to see such a “soft” side of him. So adorable.
Kylo seemed a bit of an uptight guy initially, but when he let go he sure was able to master the Saint.
I loved getting back into this series with all the “Brothers” from Book 1 surfacing in this book also. What was a bit chilling to read was the lengths the brothers go to when they want revenge on people who hurt “the brothers”, even though they deserved punishment.
Another niggle for me was they way they treat and speak to some of the females in the “compound”. Not the girls who worked for P&P, they did take care of them.
I’m a “CoverLoverGirl” and this one is gorgeous.
Now to read Book 3, the tale of West and his mysterious client.
I loved loved loved this book. Kylo and Saint were combustible when they were around each other and great characters couldn’t help but love. For the most part the romance part of the story was easy and flowed perfectly. There wasn’t any back and forth, no real fighting of their feelings and I loved that. We did get drama and I love how both came out stronger and prevailed because of it. We have 2 alpha males that work well together and had a connection you can’t help but feel on the pages. The writing was awesome as always. This author always seems to suck me in and doesn’t let me go until the end. I won’t give too much away but I really enjoyed it. I have a feeling that we know who is coming next and I can’t wait. 5 stars #2OCCjD
I love Lila Rose and if you have read any of her other books you know that sometimes guys have trouble when they suddenly like other guys for the first time. Zion "Saint" Storey was not that way at all. He knew he felt something for Zylo that he had never felt for anyone else and nothing was going to stand in his way. His openness made him such a fun character.
Saint is Luca’s older brother whom we met in Wreak Me Forever. He was straight and a bit of a playboy. He's a member of Diamond MC and part owner of Polished P & P. It was in an interview with Kylo for a job that he felt a change in his thoughts and feelings for Kylo.
There was just something there and something about Kylo that made Saint know he had to have him. That Kylo was his and that was it. While you can read this one on its own I highly suggest you read the first one.
“Fuck. Had she brought this problem in, or did it follow her because of her looks?”
This take is trash so stop it.
Also Kylo is Bi (and Zion) but the author fell back into "Zion gets jealous of Kylo's clients will be men because we're together, so women only."
He's Bi.
Also also, from reading the two books in this series it seems the author has this weird thing "they waited to have sex so that's how you know they care and respect them" Lol no. Stop it.
Anywayyyy. I really liked this a lot more than book one. A few annoyances aside. Zion is a cocky fucker who loves cuddles. He's an idiot. In dangerous situations and he's all “haha Kylo you like meeeee” and I absolutely loved it lol! I really loved them together, it wasn't as fast and rushed. You knew where they stood but there was still a little bit of push and pull. They were sweet and funny together. Kylo is the first man Zion has been with but it felt more natural with Zion to just go with it but he also analysed it more than Wreck did from book one. Zion and Kylo are great together and I loved their chemistry and the playfulness between them.
Looking forward to West's book and it has gotta be Death who is his mysterious dude. Death with all his business ventures would totally be involved with casinos, right? Excited to see who it will be but I may have died inside when I seen 'coming next year.'
So this was better than the first one, but still has some things that don't really work (for me).
The romance is what makes this more enjoyable. Lucas and Wreck fell in love instantly, just one look and they where smitten with each other even though they had to come to terms with it since Wreck was supposedly straight. This time, Kylo and Saint have know each other since long ago, even if they weren't close. They romance starts like something physical, after a dare, and neither of them expected what it was going to become.
I feel Saint took a little bit too easily falling for a guy. I mean, for a straight guy that starts to get hot for another guy suddenly, he didn't go through any kind of sexual anxiety. That the worst thing about their romance for me. But even with that's their relationship was nice to read, how they take things slowly and you kind of see them falling for each other.
Sadly, once again the secondary plot feels filling, like it's only there to add pages and little more. And this pissed me very much as the sinopsis implies Kylo having issues with his past... And this just takes like 20% of the story. Literally, his parents don't appear until 61% and even then their plot is short-lived. It's more interesting than Lucas' issue with his classmate was (which wasn't hard, really), but I can't get off the idea of the author just adding this sub-plots to try to make her stories more interesting and, actually, these could be completely avoided.
This is pure romance, doesn't matter if you add a couple of pages about some kind of supposedly super danger, it won't change the fact 90% of the book is about two guys falling in love. And that not bad! If that's what you story ask for, why add some underdeveloped wannabe plot?
Again, I will continue reading the series because I like the supporting characters. But I know what I'm going into so I won't expect more than I will probably get. I know West's story will be a little different since his man will be a mafia guy or something like that and not a biker (which I said during the first review, doesn't really add much to the story... The could be bikers or whatever else), but considering the first two books, I will look forward a romance and little less.
Kylo went in for a job interview but came out with more than he bargained for.
What happens when you put two stubborn men in the same room? A battle of the wills with no one backing down! I loved how Saint had to work for it, despite Kylo having had a crush on him for a long time. Saint was straight! Well, he was until he was Kylo’d.
This was a fun, mostly lighthearted story. I loved the chemistry Kylo and Saint shared, and the banter that was never-ending. It was a hoot and a half. As much as Kylo protested, he never walked away, and Saint didn’t give up. As I said: two stubborn men. There were a couple of dramatic scenes, and they were both turning points for the couple. I loved how much they sincerely cared about each other, even when they refused to admit it out loud.
This is book two in the series, and while the main characters from book one were present throughout the book, it can be read as a stand-alone. It explains things well enough. That said, it would’ve enhanced my experience in their world, had I read book one. I have a feeling most of the characters in this one were just as active in book one.
I have my suspicions about a third book, and who the MCs are, but it was not mentioned at the end of the story, nor in any of the author pages. If I’m right, I’m so looking forward to it. This was an easy read for me and I enjoyed it. The side characters were as entertaining as the main characters. If you’ve read book one, I’m sure you enjoyed seeing them again, especially Lucas and Wreck. Hopefully, we will see them again. Until then, happy reading!

Love the men in Polished P & P. Just Wow… The author has given us another well written M/M book with a storyline that is simply wonderful. This is Kylo’s story. His life has not been an easy one. He grew up with junkies for parents which included a horrible lifestyle where even his basic needs were not taken care of. As a teen he was taken in by Boom (a member of the Diamond MC) and his ol’ lady, and raised as their own.
Kylo is now a prospect for the Diamond MC. Deciding he never wants to feel helpless, like he did as a child, he applies for a job a Polished P & P as an “escort” for both genders (considering he is bi-sexual) in order to save some money. But to get the job he has to go through an interview with Saint - (a fellow Diamond MC brother who co-runs the Polished P & P Club). The interview turns Kylo’s world upside down. His life is finally turning into everything he dreamed about. That is until the past rears its ugly head.
This is a great read. Watching one man learn that love has no gender, watching Kylo and his man fall for one another and be there for each other when times are bad had me smiling and my heart singing. While Never a Saint can be read as a standalone, I suggest reading book 1, Wreck Me Forever, first as the storylines and characters overlap and it will make for a much better reading experience.
I Highly recommend grabbing up Never a Saint and the Polished P & P series, you won’t regret it.
I needed a a pick-me-up today. I craved something light and easy, so I'm glad to say, this book delivered it in spades. Zion and Kylo really captured my heart and I enjoyed watching them both become a strong, loving couple. They made a good team and with their 'brothers' in their motorcycle club, and I liked the camaraderie they all share between them. This is a good book to escape with. Is it realistic? No. Probably not. But sometimes I need books to give me romance and lightness, not just angst and self doubt. I loved how Zion embraced his attraction to Kylo without the push-pull of confusion about his budding sexuality toward another man. Though it's not necessarily realistic, I wish it really was that way. Maybe one day it will be. 4.5 stars rounded up.
lmao maybe I haven't read enough MC books but I assumed this series was supposed to be on the fluffier side and then they casually committed murder. I did not expect that haha.
I didn't really like this one (regardless of murder) since the only obstacle for their relationship was that Kylo had no idea what Saint wants from him. I'm not even sure if there is any kind of character arc here or if I just missed it.
So this one was a miss. I'm definitely continuing though since I'm verrry much interested in West's story with the broody Russian casino owner...
Amazing book! Loved this one even more than the first. There was more action and character development. But what I liked the most was Saint's sassy acting and the way he proved to Kylo how he felt.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because it was strange to me that Kylo was more awkward than Saint. I understood and supported his reasons, because Saint has never been with a man before, but still it felt kind of off at one point.
Yes!!!! What an upgrade from the first!! THIS WAS CUTE ASF!! I’m enjoying the way this author writes Bi-curiosity. From the angle that is not just smut but physical intimacy and characters actually trying to WOO each other. It’s very adorable and I found myself cheesing HARD at my phone. I gotta say I love saint very much. I don’t know what I expected from the reformed playboy trope with him but it defs wasn’t THAT. I love it lol Running to pick up West and the Russians book rn!!
The second book in the Polished P and P Series is an M/M romance with an unexpected twist. Kylo’s story is sweet, sexy, emotional, passionate and seriously steamy. A story that will take you on an awakening of sexuality that is endearing. This story is witty, entertaining and captivating. It will warm your heart and have you falling in love with two men who have hearts of gold.
This m/m series is totally amazing. I completely love all the characters and enjoy every moment of these guy's on their journey to love. These characters always are completely open to discovering new things about themselves and that the only way to real lasting happiness is to follow your heart. Even if it isn't taking you to where you expected it to. If you have never tried m/m or are after a new m/m to fall in love with then I 100% reccommend this book series.
