Well, not finished. I 'speed read' it! It was not what I was expecting or hoping for. The best speed reading course was one I had in college. Still use some of those skills. When I'm reading for pleasure, I don't tend to speed read. Unless it is a boring part or something mundane.
What it talks about is sounding out the word and looking around at the sentence to see what the world means. 101 ways to read with speed and understanding did not help me to read faster.
There was one chapter in this book that was kinda cool. In the chapter there was a chart that you made so you would read so many pages/ chapters everyday.

Lately I have been trying to improve my reading speed, so I picked this up at a thrift store. It is very basic and written for kids. Has good tips on reading comprehension and is written in a numbered list form so it is easy and quick to read. It also helped me review some of the finer points of the English language and parts of speech which I need to keep fresh in my head since I am a substitute teacher.
