A few years ago I read The Memory Watcher by the same author and was obsessed! This is a follow up of sorts as it follows one of the characters from that books years later. It’s totally fine to read on its own but TMW was fantastic so you should read that one first.

There was a lot to like about this one for me, I love the authors writing style and always find her books to be compulsive reads, this was no exception. There was such a great combination of drama and obsession in this one and I’

I received this as an ARC from the author. I knew I was going to love it--the story rejoins a character years later from Kent's 'The Memory Watcher' which I also loved.

A woman heads back home after a long estrangement, but it's not for any of the reasons you've heard before--she's on a mission. Her ex, her first love, moved there. He bought a house, got married, and had a baby. All ordinary things, except, his wife could be her twin and his daughter has her name. In some strange way, she feels

A big thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of The Watcher Girl in exchange for an honest review. Even though this is the follow-up to The Memory Watcher (which I LOVED!!), The Watcher Girl can be perfectly read as a standalone. I love this author’s books - her writing style and the way she tells a story are very unique. However, as much as I was enjoying The Watcher Girl, it was only a couple chapters before I guessed what was going on. I just wish it was a bit more unpredictable ...more

Minka Kent did it again! Another book that sucked me in from the start.
This takes place 15-20 years after “The Memory Watcher,” told from the perspective of Grace (the adopted daughter of the McMullens). Although it’s a different story, it still touches on parts from “The Memory Watcher,” which explains why Grace turns out the way she is.
“The Watcher Girl” is a psychological thriller about obsession and the lengths a person will go to get what they want. I couldn’t put this down. I HAD to see w

Remember Grace? She's all grown up and living her own drama.

Another brilliant book from Minka Kent. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC.

If you like Minka Kent's previous books, just go and one-click this now. You'll like it as well. Lots of drama and twists. You'll also get a little bit more closure and follow up from The Memory Watcher.

There were a couple of things towards the beginning of the book that could have been made clearer, but I'm assuming what I read will be different from the final

Thank you to Minka herself for sending me an early copy of her new book The Watcher Girl. This was a great thriller and I couldnt wait to read it since I have really enjoyed all of her previous books. I will admit though I had a feeling the one of the certain characters was going to be behind everything which I was right but I still had to get through until the end to find out the outcome of the story and what was going to happen to Grace. Overall the story was good and I definitely recommend ev ...more

I received this as an ARC from the author. I enjoyed this book so much, the writing was concise and easy to follow, we get to see characters from the past and I hated one in particular, wanted this character to suffer more in this book because I'm that type of resentful person.

The story flows easily and it is engaging, there are a couple of twist because you don't know how things are going to turn and who to trust. At the end of the day I do believe that we see what we want to see because our pa

Minka Kent's latest novel (available in May of this year) is the sequel to her debut thriller, The Memory Watcher. Readers of that debut may recall the seemingly perfect life Daphne and Graham McMullen led, along with their three children: Grace, Rose, and Sebastian. Of course, life wasn't as flawless as it looked and the book ends with some pretty traumatic events.

The Watcher Girl finds Grace twenty years later, full of wanderlust and a misanthropic distrust for people. When she learns that th

*I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher for an honest review.*
This is a follow up to The Memory Watcher, which I haven’t read. But I don’t think you need to have read that one to enjoy this one. Enough details of that story, which took place twenty years earlier, were parceled out when you needed them. This book follows Grace, the daughter of some of the main characters of The Memory Watcher, and shows the long term effects on the family of what happened back then. But it also

I was gifted an ARC of the Watcher Girl by the author. I have read a few of Minka Kent’s books and really enjoyed all of them. The story is told from the point of view of Grace McMullen and her goal of making sure her ex is doing ok after breaking his heart. This book started out a little slower than others by the author which are normally quite pacey. It follows Grace’s attempts at ‘accidently’ bumping into her ex but then takes a different path. A darker picture is painted, and Grace succumbs ...more

Minka Kent is one of those authors for me that I read EVERYTHING she writes. I have loved every book she has done, as she is an amazing story teller.

I’m so excited to have received this ARC in the mail yesterday! Once again Minka Kent did not disappoint. She has such well developed characters that you are bound to love some of them and despise others.

Another spell binding book by Minka Kent! I absolutely love this authors writing she has the ability to grab you from the very first sentence till the always exciting end of the book. This book is about Grace going back home to apologize/make amends to her ex boyfriend Sutton and find out the women he married looks just like her. Is everything as it seems or is there something much sinister going on behind closed doors? You will have to read to find out! Loved this book and love this author. Wil ...more

ARC REVIEW - As always Minka Kent has weaved a story as unpredictable as the last. Minka Kent is an amazing author with a real talent for leaving you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire story. I didn't give this book a 5, mostly because I felt it was really short. It seemed at though the ending was rushed and I would have liked to have more closure. With that said, I would still recommend this book to those who love a good twist in their stories. I can't wait to read Minka Kent's next ...more

Thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me to read an ARC of this upcoming novel by Minka Kent. I am a huge fan was so excited to read it ! And I was not disappointed. Grace feels the need to go home and set things from her past right. Her family is a mess. They are not close. Her mother is in jail and her father is not who she thought he was. In her quest to do the right thing she sets off a chain of events that will change lives forever. Should she have just left well enough alone ? ...more

I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! It had me guessing the whole time! I was hooked from the very first page. Grace goes home after a long absence to check on her ex who she thinks is struggling. She soon finds herself in a friendship with his wife. She also gets to reconnect with her family. I loved that this book was also about a character from a previous book of hers! I highly recommend this book! ...more

I received an ARC of this book and absolutely loved it. The first book of Minka Kent’s that I read was The Memory Watcher. I enjoyed it so much I have read every other book by her. This book follows the Memory Watcher years later, telling the story of Grace McMullen now as an adult and returning to her hometown. If you enjoyed the Memory Watcher you will definitely enjoy this as well.

Thank you Minka Kent for the ARC I received. I have read a few books from the author, and this one was my favorite. This book revisited characters from The Memory Watcher, and I was sucked in from the beginning. I finished the book in one sitting, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I cannot wait for more books from this author.
