Adrianne Chrisander was almost used to the fact she'd inherited The Cosmos Cruise Line. Six weeks ago she and her friend Carol had sailed incognito on the Cosmos Calypso, and the cruise had been eventful, to say the least. Now they were embarking on the Cosmos Sonata and sailing from Fort Lauderdale all the way to Los Angeles via the Panama Canal. Adrianne was hoping for a peaceful voyage, a restful. relaxing time. Carol was eager for some excitement. Carol got her wish.
Adrianne Chrisander still can’t believe she inherited a cruise line from an uncle she hardly knew. She’s thrilled with this opportunity, but she wants to secretly check out the company she inherited. Adrianne and her best friend, Carol, already took a cruise on one of the ships incognito. Now, they prepare to try out another one of Adrianne’s ships, the Cosmos Sonata.
It doesn’t take long for Adrianne to realize something underhanded is going on. The ships are known for their top-of-the-line products, but that doesn’t seem to be what they are using. She’s convinced someone is stealing the good stuff and replacing it with inferior products. She vows to delve into this further and find out who is stealing from her.
This is the second book in this short novella and I truly find this to be a delightful series. I enjoyed this one even more than the first. The characters are well-written either as good people or as dastardly villains. There’s even some romance tossed into the mix.
There are no dead bodies found, but the mystery storyline is quite intriguing and fun to try and figure out. There’s even an exciting finale. I don’t think you need to read the first book to enjoy this one, but I feel as if it does help to read them in order to keep the continuity of the series.
These are quick reads and can be read in just a couple of hours. A very nice afternoon interlude.
Adrienne Chrisander has recently inherited the Cosmos Cruise lines (see Undercover on the Calypso), a small luxury cruise line with three ships. She’s taking her second cruise aboard the Cosmos Sonata, incognito, with friend and newly appointed Social Media Manager, Carol, on each of the ships to familiarize herself with the line. Embarking on a two-week cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to L.A., via the Panama Canal, the first thing she notices are the watered down drinks at the Sail Away party! Then she starts noticing that other things are not quite up to par. What’s going on? I thoroughly enjoyed the first of this cozy cruise mystery series and immediately purchased the second one. Now I’m looking forward to the third, Murder Mystery Cruise, by Lizzie Josephson!
This second installment on the Cosmos cruise ship has Adrienne and Carol meeting up with Captain Keith again. This time they find themselves on a cruise through the Panama Canal. I enjoyed reading the story about the cruise and the mystery they encounter. I found the story interesting and believable. The only part that I found a bit dissatisfying was the fact Adrienne had been on this cruise for more than two weeks with Carol working on a mystery that somehow she hadn’t kept her abreast of the situation. They seem close so this part felt a bit inconsistent. I enjoyed the story though and look forward to reading more in the series
Another great book from Lizzie in her Cozy Cruise Mysteries. Adrienne & Carol are on another cruise to check out the Sonata, another of the three ships she owns. From the time they step on the ship Adrienne & Carol realize that there is something very wrong with the crew. There appears to be a lack of leadership from some of the various department heads. They immediately start investigating what is going on & find that there are illegal things happening. In the end, the culprits are arrested.
Can't wait to read the next book to see what Adrienne & Carol have to deal with on their next cruise!
It may be a shorter book, but it definitely had a lot of intrigue and excitement. I love how Adrianne and her crew have been solving cases by finding out what's going on, then when the crooks have a false sense of security, boom, they're caught. It was great that Capt. Keith was able to be on this cruise, because I'm pretty sure the very lax normal captain of the ship wouldn't have given Adrianne the time of day even if he did know she was the new cruise line owner. Great outcome, and I'm ready to sail on into the next book!
Adriane and Carol are great undercover sleuths for the cruise line! They are finding all kinds of things that don’t look right, from wine to chocolates an hair products read this book and you will be amazed what goes on with the staff of a cruise ship! Highly recommend this book! The storyline and the characters are great. Can’t wait to read the next in series!
Lizzie Josephson is an amazing author! Love her stories!
One never knows with the "Cozy" mystery series but I have been lucky in my choices. This series has not disappointed. The main character - a Harvard graduate - is not only intelligent but falls into an excellent (once in a lifetime) job/career. She goes about her learning process carefully - and I admire that. She encounters dishonest people but uses honest and above board methods to follow their trail - she displays integrity. An enjoyable read!
Even though the book is short the story is strong and once you start reading you don't want to stop until the end. This book was a wonderful mystery to figure out and left me dying to read book three. It also made me wish the story was twice as long. I love this new author.
Another cute cruise cozy with on the second ship of her fleet. Adrianne Chrisander inherits 3 luxury cruise liners from her uncle and is determined to keep them afloat and free from crime. This book like the first of the series is a light cozy with a little blooming romance thrown in. If you like cruising and have a couple of hours to kill this is the perfect read for you.
This was a great second book in this cozy mystery that took place aboard a cruise ship. I really enjoyed how the mystery was solved. I can't wait until I read the next book in this series. It was a few way to pass the time. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading cozy mysteries.
Once again I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the easy friendship of the main characters. The plot was well written I would recommend the book to anyone that likes light hearted mystery. Also the book was not too long. I was able to read it in one sitting.
I love cozy cruise ship mysteries and this series does not disappoint. I love the storyline and all of the characters. The luxury aspect lets me dream about a lifestyle I'll never live. I highly recommend this book and the series. If you like cozy cruise ship mysteries, you should check this book out.
Great cruise mystery especially when you can't to on a cruise! This is the second book in the series with Adrienne Crisander. As she boards the ship under an alias, she quickly finds out that there is something going on when high end products are replaced by inferior replicas. Fun mystery!
Excellent book. A pleasure to read. It’s written with such detail of places and characters that makes you feel you’re in that cruise ship living thru all the experiances that the main characters are going thru A book not to miss like all the books written by Lizzie Josephson
Adrianne and Carol are sailing on the Sonata and discover a lot of substandard products being used in the spa, watered down drinks and cheap chocolates being served to the passengers.
Second book in this series. Adrianne and her friend Carol, are taking a cruise on her second ship to check everything out and make sure it’s on the up and up! Of course she runs into trouble. Entertaining storyline.
Well a little shorter than the first book but still a great read. Adrianne and Carol go sleuthing again and find lots of things wrong on the ship that shouldn't be. Again I won't spoil your reading pleasure by telling you the plot but you will enjoy it. Roll on Book 3!
The new owner goes on the Panama Canal cruise undercover. She quickly finds the wine and other products are being replaced with cheaper products. By the time they get to LA she has solved it. A fun quick read,I enjoyed reading this book
The title had me guessing what the peril might be. It was nothing I expected. True to form, this book is an easy and very enjoyable read! Adrienne shines again. And Carol and Keith play their parts perfectly. I'm going to enjoy the next book in this series!
Thank you Lizzie for another great read. I have a hard time putting them down. I miss cruising ever since my husband passed so you are helping me get through my grief & loneliness since he’s gone. I’m on to book three in this series they are so good.
Great cozy series, and what I really like about it is there is no murder. I'm so happy to have found a cozy mystery series that doesn't depend on murder.
I have read several books including the one before this one. This is the most interesting of the bunch It has a better story line. The Characters are much more real like.
I have been on many cruises and never had one like this one!!! Who is substituting these things and why??? Good job Adrianne!!! I enjoyed this story and recommend the book.
