Piggy is a short story by K. Webster. It's labeled as romantic thriller. But for me it more felt like a revenge novel. And even though it is super short, I absolutely loved it.
The story is about Gareth who is overweight. He loves his neighbour Summer from afar. She is the only one who kind to him. When she invites him to a party at her house, he gets ambushed in the basement by her friends and hurt really badly.
Then there is a 20 year old time skip. And a very wealthy Summer invites all those friends back to her house. And she sets up the basement for a party. Until the doorbell rings and Gareth joins the party.
I love the blood lust int his one. And the cruelty. It's pretty dark and the hunger for vengeance overtakes any other thought.
I really enjoyed this one! 4 big bloody stars from me!
I saw this on my feed and was okay ill read it. Its free on kwebsters web page and its under 21 pages.
Hands down its a story about revenge.. Garthe gets bullied at his crushes Halloween party and it takes a big messy turn.. and now present time he wants revenge. I wont give you the full story because well its 21 pages lol
Que tremendo Plow twist al final, a pesar de ser un relato corto te deja intrigada de una manera que WOW, neta que está autora siempre me deja muy sorprendida y enganchada con sus historias y aún siendo corto te deja 🤯.
1.5 stars. Um okay. Let's talk about this 25-page book. Yes, you heard it right 25 pages. Now I would like to tell you how fucked this novella was but 'fucked' would be an understatement. Basically, a good of kids made fun of an overweight kid calling him piggy, and then it skips to 20 years later where he gets his revenge. Now the ending makes no fucking sense whatsoever but I mean what else can you really fit in this book I mean Jesus it was literally 25 pages. Also, I expected nothing less from k. webster and as weird as this sounds this isn't her most fucked up book. If you want to read this one you need to go to k. websters website and go under free books and it will be there.
What a short and efficient book I have just read. It`s not perfect, it`s true. But you can enjoy as hell in its few pages on how a vengeance should look like. We find in "piggy" (a cruel and prejudiced nickname) a tormented character who over the years decides to concentrate all his knowledge, thirst for revenge and love for his crush, on a single goal: to kill those responsible for giving him the worst day of his life.
K Webster never disappoints me and this one? Man - it’s a helluva tale of straight revenge. I couldn’t have picked a better night to pick it up and devour, since it is All Hallows’ Eve which is the same night this story is set on. Gareth and Samantha plan and extract such a wicked revenge on the group of people that nearly killed Gareth 20 years before - in true Webster fashion.
Ever fantasize about killing your high school bullies?? Here’s a really short story that might help ya with that fantasy coming to life for one guy.
Leave it up to K Webster to create a story that took me under five minutes to listen to - that has a good plot, gore, bloody sex, revenge, and an HEA for the high school victim and a not so HEA for the bullies.
The blatant fatphobia in that was hard to read… not even just the flashback of Gareth getting bullied for being fat at the beginning in high school, but she makes a point to make sure we know that Summer is incredibly slim and can still fit into her cheerleading uniform from 20 years ago, Gareth got fit/hot as he got older, & all the bullies are now overweight and miserable (glad they’re miserable, they deserve it, but I think the “all the bad people are fat now & the protagonists are sexy & thin” was kinda unnecessary…).
I liked that Gareth brutally murdered someone who was wearing a Trump mask though lmao
"Piggy" is a short story, probably about 30 pages long. It's free to download on K. Webster's site. It had a slasher vibe and is centered around Halloween and revenge. It was a fun, short read. I've read a lot of K. Webster. She was probably one of my first dives into the darker genre. She's got so many releases I've lost count though. So I'm not sure if this is a spin-off of another story. For me, it was fine and completely understandable as a standalone. I like to throw in novellas on my busy days and when I know I won't be able to read much until the next week. This one was perfect for that.
I love me some crazy batshit fun hahahaha. This wasn't dark enough for yours truly but i had fun nonetheless. the plot wasn't a surprise but the elements and the vibes panned out great.
I’ve been in the mood for dark, twisted quick reads and this story did not disappoint. It’s the perfect Halloween story of deceit and deception. Don’t think just go ahead and read this gruesome tale of revenge with the ever satisfying ending.
Me encantan las venganzas pero ojalá hubiera tenido más paginas, no es que sea una sádica pero todo sucede muy rápido y ojalá hubiera alargado la tortura y por otro lado el final era muy obvio
Gareth was made fun of for his weight in high school, and his tormentors went so far as to lure him in the basement of his crush, Summer, where they beat him almost to death. Will he ever get revenge.
4.5 stars The only thing that kept this book from being 5 stars was it was predictable. You knew who Summer's husband was and you knew what would happen at this party. That being said, the little scene Summer has was intense for such a short scene. I wish the book was longer so we could read more about these two and how they planned everything.
