I like the concept of this book but I'm surprised they didn't do a different texture for the lines like is usually done for Montessori sandpaper letters.

After reading a bit about the Montessori approach, I see the value in this book. I find the illustrative style a little creepy, and I'm not sure a whole series of "maze" illustrations would hold a little one's attention for very long... but it's worth a library borrow, I think.
