I enjoyed these Holiday stories so much. It is unusual to find so many good stories in one collection. The women are mischievous, bold, challenging and fun. The men are handsome, intriguing and charming. The relationships are engaging and the endings perfect. A wonderful set of books for any time of the year.

Once Upon a Twelfth Night contains seven stories that link together, although each can be read as an individual story. There were some elements that I found contradictory when reading them back-to-back, but as a whole they made for a great collection.

The first story in the collection, Twelve Nights of Ruin by Carrie Lomax, was a four-star rating. There was a little bit too much back-and-forth between the characters for me, but I enjoyed watching the way the story developed. By the end, I was hoo

Once Upon a Twelfth Night was a delightful collection of stories centered around an annual holiday house party. Of the seven stories, only one didn’t work for me which is a pretty good success rate in a multi-author collection.

Twelve Nights of Ruin by Carrie Lomax 4 Stars
Holly Mayweather was the delight of London society--until her reputation was tarnished by a shocking scandal. Now her parents have arranged a wedding with Reynard Sharp, a stoic former soldier. A new author to me & I enjoyed how Rey & Holly fell for each other & both discovered first impressions can be deceptive

This Collection of 7 books by 7 different authors. Some of these authors I have read before, some it has been awhile since I have read them, and some are brand new authors to me. – This is the beauty of a collection of stories. At this time, I have only read 3 of the stories so I will review the ones I have read.

It Was Only a Kiss by Sofie Darling – This was a nice love story between Will and Violet. I think Will is kind of sweet and has a little place in my heart. Sofie Darling’s writing makes

I so enjoyed these seven stories. They are Regency reads centered around a house party celebrating the Twelfth Night. They are all good stories with likable characters. I love the variety in these stories as well the characters. These writers did a good job. I can't say I have a favorite because they all bring something different and they are nicely developed. ...more

Seven saucy stories centered around one Twelfth Night Soirée that I just gobbled up! 800+ pages that I tore through in no time. Each story is separate with very little cross-over. Refreshing in that there was no drawn out, painful suffering through characters not speaking their minds or hiding their feelings. Everything was right out there and fast-paced. I loved every one of the stories! (5 stars, but of course no great work of literature!)

1. TWELVE NIGHTS OF RUIN by Carrie Lomax - 3 STARS

I didn't care for the h at all, disliked her 75% to liking her 25%. The H was a military man and came from the wrong side of the blanket. He was harsh because of his background but I liked him.

The h was very flighty and called off their wedding 3 times - ridiculous for this time period. If you are a stickler for Regency Rules, you will not enjoy this. They just didn't ring true as a couple to me. Editing issues - the h's godfather's last name is

Twelve Nights of Ruin
Holly Mayweather and William Sharp were brought together at the yearly party celebrating Twelfth Night and the story depicts how they ended up with their own HEA.
Christmas Chase
Sarah Sommer had been shuffled between distant family members and friends. She was on her way to another set of guardians -- the Stapletons -- under the watchful eye of Monty Witmore. She manages to give him the slip as she has plans to find her own HEA. Unfortunately this did not turn out the way s

TWELVE NIGHTS OF RUIN by Carrie Lomax: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Where do I start? Holly is an unusual character. She paraded around with a facade to get along within the ton. It did not serve her well when a scandal broke out and few believed she was innocent. Her parents took her to the country and arranged a marriage to a stranger. Reynard is a military man and knows little else. He is suspicious by nature and cautious in everything. He does not take anything at face value. When he meets Holly, he was determined t

I will review the books as I read them; so more to come:

THREE KISSES BEFORE CHRISTMAS by Tanya Wilde. I loved this friend to lovers' story, which was fun, humorous & romantic! Wolfstan Ward, Earl of Wicke & Selborne has been in love with his best friend's sister for fifteen years, after saving her from a bully, when she was 9 years old. But Rebecca has been infatuated with his cousin since that day and so Wolfstan never showed anything other than being best of friends with her. Rebecca Flowerdy

Tantalizing! This immensely talented and uniquely impressive group of authors pull together this incredibly enjoyable treat, laying out all the frills, spills and fiascos, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Crushed lines and broken boundaries, limitations are amplified and bent, shifting this gem into overdrive, slamming it into a tizzy with an astonishing culmination. Bound, wound and tightly banded, displaying the soaring ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking

These stories are centered around Lord and Lady Stapleton’s annual house party, known for the matches that result.

Twelve Nights of Ruin – Fresh from a sandal, free-spirited Holly meets her betrothed, stiff, formal ex-soldier Rey. But neither is who they appear to be.

Christmas Chase – Monty agrees to escort Sarah to the party, but she leads him on a chase to find her long-lost father.

Three Kisses Before Christmas – Wolf has loved Rebecca for years. When his cousin decides to find a wife, an tu

Once Upon a Twelfth Night is a fun collections of stories that all take place at the same house party. I loved seeing how each of the authors were able to make the premise work while keeping their stories unique and entertaining. I want to say the stories are each novellas, but they felt more like full-length novels, and I had the same satisfaction reading one of the tales as I did from reading a nice long book.

My favorite of the bunch was Three Kisses Before Christmas by Tanya Wilde. Wolfstan h

Several Stories Centered Around an Event

While I almost always enjoy multi-author box sets even if not all stories are my cuppa, I particularly loved the idea of this one, that the authors set each story around the holiday house party and Twelfth Night ball of a prominent earl and countess. With so many stories by so many authors, this collection touches on many themes we often see in Regency romance, like unrequited love, second chance at romance, scandal, and wards/guardians. There's even one r

A beautiful collection of stories.
This is a beautiful collection of stories. I loved reading each one with the setting for each of the stories the Annual Twelfth Night Ball. I found" Twelve Nights of Ruin by Carrie Lomax" so entertaining. With a fall from grace, our Miss Holly is now faced with marriage to a man she called a gargoyle. Reynard or Rey for short had a very different view of his future spouse. That could easily change as he gets to know her. I have to be honest for most of the book

General comments:
-All the main characters in the stories have intimate relations before their wedding. Open door scenes.
-Many characters didn't speak to me because of their other behavior, like cancelling a wedding not once but three times or forcing a kiss on someone just to prove a point, etc.
-Some other stories touched me to the core and I really enjoyed them.
-Editing needs another pass for all 7 stories. Wrong names (St

Three Kisses Before Christmas by Tanya Wilde

This is a lovely story of unrequited love. The characters Wolf and Rebecca, as well as the supporting cast of characters were all so wonderful. Filled with humor and romance, there is really good chemistry between Wolf and Rebecca.

A very entertaining story! I enjoyed watching Wolf and Rebecca navigate the relationship once Wolf declares his feelings.

Thank you Tanya for such an entertaining and well written story.

As I read the novels that make up this boxset, I could not help but imagine the fun the authors had putting this book together, despite the many challenges facing them. The setting for the stories is the Annual Twelfth Night Ball held in the castle of the Earl and Countess of Stapleton, where the Countess makes no secret of the fact that she has put people together who are potentially the perfect match. I thoroughly enjoyed every one of these well-written novels, the romance, wit, humour and ten ...more

All the novellas in this book relate in some way to a Twelfth Night house party. This is NOT a book of Christmas novellas nor anything festively relating to Christmas.

Twelve Nights of Ruin - marriage of convenience, Rather silly, but his dialog at the end saved the story 4 stars

Christmas Chase - abandoned daughter and knight in shining armor 4 stars

Three Kisses Before Christmas - childhood friends to lovers, she was annoying and the resolution to her unresolvable problem unrealistic, 3 stars

Once Upon A Twelfth Night is an anthology of 7 books by different authors with the Twelfth Night Ball the thing that connects the stories. Authors Carrie Lomax, A.S. The common denominator in these stories is the stellar cast of characters in each book. I enjoyed reading this collection. The books in this anthology are complete books, not cliff-hangers.
