Christmas Ever After by Karen Schaler 4.5 stars

Oh this book reads like a Christmas #Hallmark movie! It’s so fun. Riley is like the grinch and has never celebrated Christmas for many years. As a way to save her career, she has to host a Christmas Camp at Christmas Lake! You can’t get more Christmassy than that!

To top that, she is placed in a room with Santa everywhere and a Santa sleigh for a bed! I’d love to see that in the movie. And oh! The Santa alarm clock says Ho Ho Ho! LOL! I really love t
I knew when I settled into this one that it would be delightful and full of holiday feelings. I’ve enjoyed every one of her holiday stories so far, and this one was just as enjoyable!

This is one of those stories where a person that doesn’t enjoy Christmas at all is thrust into something very Christmas-y and eventually opens her heart to the holiday season. I always, always love this type of story! In this case, famous author Riley Reynolds is told by her publisher that she needs to write a Chri

What a lovely , festive light read. A Fun and flirty (but only flirty no steam here, just romance) , quick read , I knew I’d love it, but I didn’t realise how much ! It’s a lovely read, but I am it’s target I love a sweet Christmas Romance. I could see this as a Hallmark movie , it would be so good

An amazing book. I never knew what to expect with a new author but the setting blew me away so why not?
Well i am not dosspointed in this one bit. We begin in NYC with Ardley having to make a TV interview to discuss her upcoming book which will be a Christmas romance. Riley has no Christmas cheer or traditions so this is gping to be a huge problem for her. Her TV interview goes from bad to worse and before you know it Riley is being marched to Colorado to fix the damage. Upon arrival Riley is a

Christmas Ever After by Karen Schaler is the second Christmas-themed story that I have read from this author, and I must say that even from this small sampling, Ms Schaler can certainly bring the holiday spirit, even on a grey and drizzly day in October. If you have watched and enjoyed A Christmas Prince on Netflix (also written by Karen Schaler) you are in for a treat with this sweeter than a candy cane story.

Riley is a highly successful romance author but her last book seemed to lack a persona

First sentence: Reynolds heard them moments before she saw them. People were singing Christmas songs, different Christmas songs, all at the same time, in exuberant, joyful voices. There was “Joy to the World,” “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.” “What in the world . . .” Riley said as she stepped out of the hotel elevator into the lavish lobby of the Royal Grand Central Park, one of New York City’s finest hotels, and found more than a hundred high-spirited Christ ...more

Nothing says Christmas like a bourbon and coke by the pool in the summer sun right!? 🤪 just kidding! Thank you so much to @netgalley for this ARC of Christmas Ever After.

The writer of Netflix’s A Christmas Prince wrote this book. And y’all am I so excited. It’s about an author who is promoting her next novel, a Christmas love story. She is holding a huge even called Christmas Camp to help promote her book. But chaos ensues when three of her ex boyfriend show up at the camp to win h

After reading three Christmas novels by Karen Schaler, I’m officially saying that I will read every Christmas novel she ever releases.

Her books are like a hug infused with Christmas magic.

Christmas Ever After might be my favourite book now. I loved being at a new location and having a new furry companion. Our male hero is definitely something special.

But most of all, we have Riley. Stories dealing with grief always hold a special place with me. Seeing her journey and building friendships at Chr

Karen does wonders with a Christmas story every year for last 2 years been looking forward to her books. This had simular plot of Christmas camp with different aspects at times but after some same story line turned into its own but still good just not as good as other books. Her books can easily get you in the mood for the holidays so always suggest them plus the dogs are always cute in the story. 4.5/5.

I love Christmas themed books. Especially when I need a boost. This book was perfect. The characters were well developed. The setting was magical. Comet was a great addition. A real love story. No sex. Riley learns to embrace her past and rediscover Christmas. I loved the traditions, the recipes, and the crazy sweaters. Need a lift? This might help. Thanks, Netgalley!

I won this Kindle book in a giveaway and am pleased to give it three stars. This is clean with no cursing, no sexual descriptions, and no violence. Riley is a young author who has not celebrated Christmas since her dad died when she was eight. Now her publisher insists she write a Christmas novel and she is called "Miss Christmas." The story is how she deals with Christmas and her fans AND all three ex-boyfriends. Two things disappointed me. First, I am always disappointed when a Christmas story ...more

A new book by Karen Schaler? Of course, sign me up. The queen of holiday romance, dubbed “Christmas Karen” by the press, has finally released her newest holiday read on 9/29, and I’m thrilled to have gotten a copy.

Author Riley Reynolds is writing a “suggested by her publisher” Christmas book to win back her readers after her last book tanked. Problem is, Riley hasn’t celebrated Christmas since she was 8 years old, and knows nothing about a traditional Christmas. When she’s caught off guard in an

I received “Christmas Ever After” by Karen Schaler from Netgalley for my honest review.

Christmas for most is a magical time of year and so we meet Riley Reynolds an author who has been a successful journalist, travel writer and writer of romantic novels but never a book about Christmas. So. Much. Fun. Take one not-so-cute first meeting, a tanking writing career, a heroine who hasn't celebrated Christmas since the age of eight, and a manipulative PR manager with the brilliant idea to save her reputation with a Christmas-themed, author-reader weekend at his college roommate's family lodge. Visualize a small mountain town, frozen lake, lots of snow, and forced proximity with Christmas on steroids. Add in three party-crashing ex-boyfriends, each under the assumption that he's the h ...more

Have you ever heard of a Christmas Camp? It’s a total immersion into the holiday season for guests enrolled in the “camp” (it’s usually a warm inviting Inn). Having written two previous books in the Christmas camp series, Karen Schaler brings us to a new holiday destination full of all the Christmas joy we’ve come to expect.

Riley Reynolds is a journalist turned romance writer. She’s had success with several books already and has quite a fan base. Unfortunately, her last romance novel was lacking

Christmas Ever After by Karen Schaler is a most delightful contemporary Christmas novel that will warm your heart and leave you smiling.
Log cabins, snow, Christmas trees and Santas are everything you need for the festive atmosphere – but what happens if you really want to avoid Christmas every year? This novel will awaken the spirit of Christmas in your heart.

Get ready for an explosion of Christmas cheer! Christmas Ever After is an abundantly fun and heartwarming Christmas romance.

This story is chock full of Christmas. Best-selling author Riley Reynolds' last book didn't sell as well as her previous books. Something is missing. Her publisher and agent task her with writing a Christmas romance next, which is a very popular sub-genre in the industry. The only problem is Riley doesn't celebrate Christmas and has no clue what to write. She's scheduled to

The latest Christmas book I finished was Christmas Ever After by Karen Schaler, another new author for me. This book was really enjoyable! I zoomed threw this.

The main character, author Riley Reynolds last novel was met with negative reviews and she ends up having to commit to writing a Christmas book for her next novel. For much needed good publicity and ideas for her upcoming book, she has to commit to being a co-host to a weekend Christmas Camp at a beautiful Lodge that goes all out for the h

Riley Reynolds is a romance novelist with a loyal following. Her last book though, wasn't as popular as her previous ones and her new publicist thinks the answer is a Christmas romance. The only problem - Riley doesn't do Santa. She hasn't shared this though as it's because of painful memories. To help her get in the spirit a Christmas Camp is arranged at a lodge in the Rocky Mountains for a select group of her fans.

But Riley is panicking because she has no holiday memories to share, no family t

Christmas Ever After was a enjoyable read, Riley doesn't do Christmas so this book was fun to read. How can a author write a Christmas book, when she doesn't celebrate the holiday. The setting of the book was lovely, and the characters were fun to get to know. I would recommend this book to others.

I received a ARC from NetGalley and HawkTale Publisher and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review, all opinions expressed here are my own.

I adored this book! I am that Christmas obsessed person listening to holiday music year round, with an ugly sweater in the making. I loved Schaler's earlier novel, Christmas Camp, and Christmas Ever After does not disappoint. Riley is an interesting character; like many characters in holiday books, she is in the "no-Christmas" camp. However, Schaler doesn't harp on this, and it isn't a negative at all. It works well as a

Simply amazing. As I was reading this it was like watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. The Christmas imagery was simply stunning and so easy to picture. The book flowed so well that I finished it in a day and a half. The heart and Christmas spirit in this story is out of this world.
From the Christmas miracle at the start of the book with Santa driving the cab, to the perfect timing and insight of Comet the dog, always in the right place at the right time.

Well this is definitely a 5-star Christmas themed read, which is really nice as often so-called Christmas books aren't really that Christmassy - not this one, this one is full-on Christmas, with snow, Christmas trees, a Christmas lodge, snowball fights, etc. etc.  It really gets you into a Christmas mood!

Bestselling author, Riley Reynolds, writes romances but her last book didn't sell very well and she is now supposed to be writing a Christmas novel, but she hasn't celebrated Christmas for years
