There are worse things than getting knocked up by your best friend. Right?
Kiersten won’t make excuses for living her very best life. But being the life of the party has its downsides—like waking up naked next to her best friend.

She’s pregnant with his baby.
She shoves him back in the friend zone. But there’s no return to normal when he’s already falling in love with her.
Convincing her that his affection runs deeper than their new reality isn’t an easy feat. Not when her lips are his addiction, and her touch is a brand. He’s determined to become more than friends.
Kiersten wants to play it safe, but Nathan is ready for risks. The problem is relationships can go south fast.
And they might learn the truth about what’s worse than getting knocked up by your best friend.
Losing them forever.

I just want stories to make me laugh, giddy, excited, cry a little, learn lessons and totally fall in love! There are friends who can be lovers and some better off the way they are. Chemistry is important and lots of love! I felt so sad for Ryan for loosing his first love but so happy that he won his real love. Kiersten's playfulness and craziness is fun but it's mostly masking a longing. Between them is a balance of yin and yang lol. Totally dig this....i'm you new fan A.M Wilson! Thanks!
Look. The sex scenes were kinda hot, I'll admit. But the rest of the book was a mess (and yet one I couldn't look away from??). But it Wasn't Good.
The worst part? The heroine gets a pelvic exam a few weeks into her pregnancy. And while her OB (an older woman) is doing this, the heroine has an orgasm.
I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review
Oh WOW this book is everything, it will literally have you laughing out loud one minute and crying real tears the next, and you will spend a lot of time on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.
I loved every part of this book, I seriously devoured it and could not put it down. It was such a sweet read with beautiful down to earth characters that I could totally see myself hanging out with.
There was so much emotion in this book between Keirsten and Nathan, she may have fought it but there was a real strong connection both physically and mentally. She really put Nathan through the hoops haha, luckily for her Nathan knew what he wanted and was willing to wait patiently for her.
I always love a friends to lovers romance and this one did not disappoint.
Everyone should read this book, its definitely a quick easy read with lots of extras thrown in.
I loved all of the characters in this book, and all the relationships that they shared. So much love and respect between them, with real friendships where they would do anything for each other.
Thank you so much for this fun loving fabulous book. I now need to binge read this author ❤
This is my first time reading anything by A.M. Wilson but it most definitely will not be my last.
This book was exceptional. A best friend to lovers, surprise pregnancy romance with a lot of heart, a ton of emotions and some really fantastic characters.
Kierstan has spent her 37 years being wild and outspoken. She hasn’t ever considered settling down. One night with her best friend Nathan changes the course of both of their lives.
Nathan is a widower who doesn’t think he should have love again. Then he finds out he got his best friend pregnant and that he can’t stop thinking about her, but she just wants to put him back in the friend zone. He definitely had his work cut out for him to convince her they were meant to be.
I have to say there were times I got frustrated with Kierstan, man was she stubborn, but also incredible in every way. And she and Nathan together were perfection.
I absolutely loved this book, loved the story, loved all the characters (I’m going to have to read Cami and Law’s book).
**I was generously provided with an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review**
An emotional slow burn of friends to lovers that will have you hooked from the start! When Morning Comes is a book that really stole my heart. Two people both fighting their feelings for different reasons brought together by an accidental pregnancy Kiersten and Nathan take you on an emotional journey with their story. I ended up laughing, crying, and fanning myself over and over again thanks to these two. Kiersten was the kind of character that made you feeling like you were hanging out with a friend while Nathan was the kind of swoony meets broody that you sit and drool over. Between the perfect chemistry that has you screaming how great they are together and the deeper emotion that balanced out with some great humor there isn’t a moment of this book that I didn’t love.
We don't talk enough about the bestfriends having a baby together trope and honestly it's a shame...
3.5☆| Kiersten and Nathan have been friends for a decade and have never crossed that line until now. But a fun night between two best friends left more memories than they bargained for and now they must learn how to navigate this new side of their friendship, parenthood and the feelings between them that are growing along the way.
Both main characters are completely opposite and that alone guarantees some antics, misunderstandings, tears, and funny moments. Kiersten is wild and is living his best life regardless of the opinion of others while Nathan is quiet and serious most of the time.
There's a lot going on in this story, it has hilarious and embarrassing moments, but it's also emotional and a little heartwrenching. It's about second chances and taking risks because life is just one with a dash of drama, stubborn main characters and good friends ready to show you some tough love when needed.
Gah this book! First I have to say, I have never read this author before. I felt like I was plunked down in the middle of a story from page one. Clearly there was a lot of history I missed out on having not read the book that goes before this one. I hate that i went into this one without all that background information. This story is everything. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers, and have a morbid facination with widow stories. Throw the 2 together with a baby, and I'm all in. This book was every emotion. I laughed, I cried, I was heartbroken, and scared and had no idea what was coming next. It was so stinking good!
THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK WHEN MORNING COME BY A.M.WILSON.
GENRE: CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE... TROPES: SURPRISE PREGANCY..ONE NIGHT STAND...BEST FRIEND TO LOVER...ROM-COM ...TEARJERKER. AUTHOR:A.M.WILSON. TYPE: BOOK #2 OF ARROW CREEK....but can be read as Standalone. POV: DUAL POV...FIRST PERSON. MY RATING: 4.5 STARS.
This is the second installment in the ARROW CREEK SERIES but you can read it as a standalone like I did..( which I regret but will be rectifying soon....) but I suggest you to read as series.
Kierten is a 37 year old woman with a sailor mouth and knows what she wants in life but still feels like she is missing something major. When she witness her bestfriend fall in love and have the man adored her and worship the path she walks on...she desires the same. One night, intentionally but still drunk, she fell in bed with her other Best friend Nathan ...and that freaking night changed evrything!!! Nathan is still not healed from the death of his wife and is not looking for any commitment. But when he gets the news of the unexpected Pregnancy, he steps up and support Kiersten all the time.
" You never know who’s going to show up and sweep you off your feet. It happens all the time.”“I’m not a princess, and I am happy with my life.”
This was a really heart warming and extraordinary book...When I saw the blurb, I was hooked from the start but when I read the actual book it was an amazing experience. I loved the best friend to lovers trope which was portrayed beautifully in here...I loved that the main couple had a connection way before they were together. A dream come true...A bestfriend in a lover!! Nathan was a pretty decent guy... I could see way before he got Kiersten pregnant he wa starting feel something for her...and I find that so sweet and heartwarming. Kiersten was a outspoken , string female lead... who took thisunexpected surprise with ease and determination.' The secondary characters were just so supportive and I got the gist of Law and Cami's story but still there was ome confusion which I would to clear by reading their book WHEN WE MEET AGAIN.
Wow!!! AM Wilson completely sucked me in from the very first page. I love a best friends to lovers romance but add in a surprise pregnancy and that just makes the story even better. I devoured this book in one sitting. One minute I am laughing and the next, my heart is breaking for Nathan and Kiersten. This book was so good, everything you want in this type of story. The connection and friendship between the two is absolutely beautiful. My emotions were all over the place. I honestly felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, no knowing how this would go.
Nathan and Kiersten have been best friends for 10 years. One drunken night leads to a hot and passionate night between the two best friends. And maybe another night as well. But when Kiersten finds out that she is pregnant, things change a bit between them. Kiersten wants Nathan to be in the baby’s life, but she is also determined to do it on her own. She does not want a relationship with him, or does she? I am not even sure she really knew. Nate on the other hand is still in a sense grieving for his wife. It’s been two years and while he has been with other woman since then, a baby is not something he ever dreamed of having after her death. He has a lot on his mind and a lot to think about. Kiersten has made it clear that they are strictly friends, with benefits of course. But is that what Nathan really wants?
I loved this book and the characters. I loved Kiersten but boy did she frustrate me. I think her not wanting more than a friendship was due to her fear of losing Nate all together if it does not work out. But what frustrated me is that I do not think she even knew her feelings for him. Or maybe she did but was in complete denial. Regardless of the frustration she caused, I loved her. I loved her strength and determination, her “say what you feel” attitude, and especially her fun filled friendship with her other best friend Cami.
Nate was the perfect best friend and lover. He had his moments where I questioned his decisions as well but that is what made this book so good. They didn’t just find out they were having a baby and everything as all perfect. They both had a lot to work out. But Nathan was so caring and loving and wanted to be there for her any way that he could. But he also wanted more, he just needed to work through his feelings to finally get there.
When Morning Comes was the perfect friends to lovers romance. Kiersten and Nathan together were HOT!!! My goodness the chemistry exploded off the page. They had an amazing connection as best friends, and I loved the banter and teasing back and forth. They made me laugh, they made my heart hurt, but they also made it happy. I wasn’t always certain where this book would go. With the both of them being stubborn in their own way, unsure of who felt what, I wondered if they would ever get their heads out of their a#@es and figure it out. Lol. I loved every minute of this fun, hot, beautiful love story between two best friends. Well done!!
I received an ARC of When Morning Comes and am freely offering my unbiased opinion. This is my first book by A.M. Wilson. She is a master at injecting feeling into her words. She created such a painfully beautiful story. Heart wrenching writing. I felt like the scenes were happening to me personally. Kiersten and Nathan's emotions rippled through my whole body. Tears were wrenched from my eyes. I started this book late at night and got sucked into this world so deep. Next thing I knew it was tomorrow and I was just about 70% in. Just one more chapter.....
When Morning Comes starts off introducing us to best friends Kiersten and Nathan the morning after they’ve crossed the line of friendship boundaries by falling into bed. They’ve known each other just about 10 years now. They also share Cami, their other best friend. Cami & Nathan are paramedics and Kiersten is a 911 dispatcher. They're friends outside of work, but their professions are also closely intertwined.
I feel like my words won’t do these characters justice. There’s just so much to experience with this one. Nathan is a widower and Kiersten is a strong independent woman. Kiersten is very open about her desire and happiness with casual relationships. Nathan is still deeply affected by his loss. A few weeks after their one night stand Kiersten learns she’s pregnant with Nathan’s baby. Once Kiersten tells Nathan she’s pregnant these two embark on a rollercoaster journey. So many emotions. Fear and excitement war in their minds. But there's so much more brewing beneath the surface. There's a lot of back and forth between them.
Unfortunately, during this journey they inadvertently hurt each other so bad without meaning to. They were also hurting themselves. Pain radiated through my body during some of the more painful/emotional scenes. Tears poured from my eyes. I couldn't contain them. I say this with awe and praise, because I obsess over books that make me feel. In the midst of everything their chemistry is still explosive.
After losing his wife Nathan has so many fears concerning Kiersten and their baby. As a paramedic he has also seen some of the worst things you can imagine. Kiersten gets points for being one of the most patient, and understanding women ever. What these two experienced together was not easy. She always tried so hard to be understanding and compassionate to him in all things. At the ends of the day they are friends, and that bond must be preserved.
The climax of When Morning Comes surprised me. I wasn't ready. The emotions just did not stop. I was 100% invested in every single page. Every single sentence. I highly recommend this book. Small town romance. Friends to lovers. Surprise pregnancy. If you enjoy these genres/tropes this book is for you.
3.85 Stars When I started this book, I felt like I was in the dark, which I realized maybe I should have read the first book as when you start this one it seemed like you needed to know the relationship between Kiersten and Nathan. But I went on.
Kiersten and Nathan were best friends and there relationship was easy happy go lucky. Until they crossed the lines and slept together. Kiersten thought that once the awkwardness would be over they would be fine again. However then she finds out she’s pregnant. Nathan never though he would want to have kids with anyone besides his wife. (his wife died) But now he had to change his thinking. And it didn’t help that Kiersten kept on that nothing was going to happen between them and they are nothing more than friends who will be going through parenting thing.
Man she annoyed me at some points. She was stubborn and kept Nathan firmly in that friendzone. She was independent and felt she didn’t need anyone to help her with anything. But Nathan was starting to fall in love with her and even though he told her he will be whatever she wanted him to be in her life, at the end it became apparent that he wanted everything, he wanted a family.
I enjoyed the story, some parts were a bit confusing as it jumps around a lot. But all in all the story was good, I loved their ‘relationship’ and just wished that Kiersten wasn’t as stubborn as she was 😊
I have a lot of mixed feelings about When Morning Comes. It is a great, slow burn best friends romance between Kiersten and widower Nathan and how their relationship changes when their sexcapades leads to an unexpected pregnancy. But I felt that there were too many holes in the overall story, and too much happened off-page that I was told happened. I want to see it happen on the page.
My biggest issue with this story is that I didn't get a sense of Kiersten and Nathan's friendship and history. The book opens with their drunken romp, and I felt like I had to make a lot of assumptions about their friendship, and how she supported him when his wife passed away. Maybe that all took place as a secondary story in the first Arrow Creek book? I don't know; I didn't read it. But for this being a standalone, I wish certain things would have been spelled out and detailed.
There is a lot of growth on Nathan's part as he comes to terms with his grief over losing his wife and his growing feelings for Kiersten. But it was just like, all of a sudden, he's gone from seeing her as his best friend to being in love. When did that happen? I would have loved to have gotten some glimpses of him in his therapy sessions as he tried to reconcile feeling like he was betraying his late wife.
Those reasons are what made this a 3-Star read for me rather than a 4-Star. But the bones of this story are really good, and I enjoyed the friends-to-lovers turn of events between Kiersten and Nathan, and how they traverse the road of planning to be co-parents to finding a HEA.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
This was my first book from A.M. Wilson and I enjoyed the writing style. Kiersten and Nathan is a friends to lover accidental pregnancy story. Nathan has a lot of hurt that has closed him off because he is not dealing with it. Then you have Kiersten and she loves to party and has not really looked into relationships or children fitting into her life. One drunken night leads to Kiersten and Nathan making a baby so they need to figure out this new normal. Nathan wants a relationship but Kiersten wants to remain just friends. I love the support that Nathan offered even though he was working through his grief. I wanted to shake Kiersten more than once. I loved the variety of feels this book bought out. There was sad, frustrating, and, laugh out loud moments. Overall the perfect blend of emotions. I loved the supporting characters. If you are looking for a friends to lovers/ surprise pregnancy romance with the perfect blend of emotions, great chemistry, great friendships, and a story that will continuously hold your attention this is your book!
Friends to Lovers, Second Chance and Much Emotion to be Found Here!!
Nate and Kiersten and good friends. Nate is reeling from the loss of his wife due to cancer. A night of overindulgence has these two getting up close and personal. For a “nice guy” Nate sure knows what he is doing.
Best friend Cami has raised her daughter alone – and is teammate to Nate on emergency runs. Kiersten handles the calls as they come in – so work could become uncomfortable if the friend zone is not maintained.
An in-depth journey of these characters; who they are, who they want to be, and how they interact. So realistic you are taking the trek with them. You like and feel for each character, and hope they will come to a satisfactory resolution. Sizzling, frustrating and fabulous.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first book i have read by this author and I was not disappointed. Kiersten and Nathan are good friends who end up sleeping together. That night not only changes their friendship but it changes their future. Their story took you from one end of your emotions to the other. Nathan may have waited to long to be honest about his feeling for her. Kiersten has a hard time accepting that his feelings stem from the heart and not her pregnancy. These two will have to trust their friendship to be able to have any kind of relationship. I look forward to more from Arrow Creek
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nathan's and Kiersten's story was so heartfelt and beautiful that I got lost in the months of her pregnancy and Nathan's journey of healing. These two were so cute together and Kiersten's personality was so funny and cute.
Ms Wilson did a spectacular job of developing these friends to lovers to parents!
Content: I have read the first book in this but this book can be read as a stand-alone.
The story follows Nathan and Kiersten. Nathan lost his wife a couple of years ago and has refrained from anything permanent because he feels guilty of betraying her. Kiersten is living the high life of being single and is happy the way she is. Until she gets knocked up by Nathan, her long time best friend.
The story is not as emotional as the first book in the series but is just as fun to read. If you like witty heroines and kind heroes, then this book is for you. This is a very intriguing book that captivated my attention throughout. I love Allison’s writing style and how she can change the mood of the book like a switch. This is another novel that shows why I like her books so much.
I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.

Gemma’s Review When morning comes is the first book I read of this author and really enjoyed the story. This story had everything I enjoyed in a story with two characters that I really found perfect for each other. I really loved the best friends to lovers type of story and this story really captured this genre.
Kiersten knew what she wanted in life and she wasn't afraid to voice this to others. I really enjoyed the way that Kiersten was an outspoken and strong character.
Nathan was still getting over the pain of losing his wife and it really showed in the story how he struggled with his feelings.Despite his feelings it was obvious how much of a good guy that Nathan was with how he was there for Kiersten.
This is a story that I really enjoyed reading and can't wait to read more from this author. 5 stars #2OCCGE
Jessica’s Review I liked both characters. Kiersten was an odd one but I really liked her no filter and just her being her, even when she was stubborn and I wanted to throttle her. My heart broke for Nathan’s loss but liked seeing inside his head when we did. Watching him struggle with not only pending fatherhood, but his feelings for the heroine. I loved the secondary characters. They were fun but at the same time really sweet and great supports for the main couple. I wish we had seen them spend more quality time together but I totally got that they both had busy lives.
It was hard to feel the best friend vibe with them. It was mentioned that they have been friends for a decade but I just couldn’t feel it. Yeah I know that things got awkward between them but I don’t know, I was just expecting more of a connection. Then the story jumped around a lot and sadly some of the transitions didn’t flow for me. Like one chapter they are telling her family, then bam, she’s shopping with her best friend. No conversation with the hero about how it went, not a lot of commentary from her family and such. It just annoyed me because I kept wondering about the things that could have happened and we didn’t get to see it.
Overall it was a decent read. A little too fast paced for me, and some things a little unbelievable that I won’t go into detail about. The banter with the characters was fun and I liked the plot. Accidental pregnancy or rather anything with kids is my favorite. I plan to go back and read the first book in this series to read the best friends book, and hope that the hero’s friend in this one is the next book in the series. 3.5 stars #2OCCJD
This is my first time reading anything by A.M. Wilson, (really wishing I’d read Cami’s & Laws Story but loving this story despite the slight confusion over their romance)but it most definitely will not be my last. It can be read as a Stand Alone but best read in order!!
This book was exceptional. A best friend to lovers, surprise pregnancy romance with a lot of heart, a ton of emotions, emotional slow burn and some deep, colorful, fantastic characters that stick with you long after finishing the story.
I have to say there were times I got frustrated with Kierstan, man was she stubborn, but also incredible in every way. And she and Nathan together were perfection.
Their Chemistry was off the charts, but constantly being stuck in ‘The Friendzone’ was frustrating even for me, not that I didn’t understand the nerves when it comes to something like that but That didn’t keep me from wanting to wring her neck for being so d*mn stubborn!!
In the end it all works out and we get a HEA, so the roller coaster of emotions was most definitely worth it!
I didn’t expect too, but absolutely loved this book, loved the story, loved all the characters (I’m going to have to read Cami and Law’s book because I was pretty confused when it came to their parts in the story, other than that I enjoyed the book).
If you haven’t all ready get this book because it pulls you in with the relatable, realistic characters facing real life problems and real love problems.
This was a solid 4 Stars for me!! I truly can not wait for the next book!!
***I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.***
When Morning Comes is a consuming story I was immediately sucked into the narrative and gripped by the storyline. It is deliciously consuming and it made my heart beat as if wild horses were racing inside my chest! If you’re looking for a beautiful read that will consume you, this is it! The characters are unforgettable, and the writing is flawless.
Allison took her writing to a new level. It is refreshing when and author dares to venture in a new way, to step out of her comfort zone. It was heartfelt and breathtakingly emotional and one of the best stories she has ever written! Her writing is magical and flawless. She penned a charming masterpiece
This book came out of left field and slapped me over the head with all of the feels.
I loved Nathan and Kriesten. They have some really intense and sweet moments.I loved their connection, they were flirty, funny and sweet.
I love everything about this couple that won a very special place in my heart. Allison gifted us a great story in the only way she does. Their characters made me feel so much.
I absolutely recommend you this book. It is a must read no one should miss. It is a sweet, hilarious and powerful romance story that will warm your heart and soul.
4 Star Review of When Morning Comes (Arrow Creek #2) by A.M. Wilson
A. M. Wilson is a new author to me and how I have not come across her before I have no idea and when time permits I will be look at other books by this author. When Morning Comes is a friends to lovers story with a surprise baby and was an entertaining read. Kiersten and Nathan are good friends and and after a night together Kiersten finds herself pregnant. Nathan has avoided commitments since the death of his wife a few years ago so this is the last thing he expects. Always the life of the party, the last thing that Kiersten has planned is to settle down, but now Nathan wants to pursue a relationship but she want them to go back to being friends. Fate works in mysterious ways and the baby the created may well bring them together as a family. There were times that I was frustrated with Kierstan, but I loved how Nathan was there to support her. Together these two made a great team and I was disappointed when the story ended. The characters were entertaining and the story was well written. Angsty at times and heart warming it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes.
4.5 Stars for When Morning Comes (Arrow Creek #2) This is the first book I have read by this author and after reading When Morning Comes I will certainly be checking out her previous works. If you love friends to lovers with a few surprises look no further than this great read. Nathan and Kierstan are best friends but after spending a night together both their lives are about to be turned upside down. Keirstan is a 37 year old strong, outspoken woman and she has never thought about setting down and Nathan is a widower who’s wife was the love of his life and he can’t see anyone taking her place but that night of passion brings about a surprise pregnancy so what happens next, will Kierstan let Nathan bring them together as a family or will she just want to remain friends.i guess you need to read the book to get the whole story....... This is an emotional, entertaining read, I loved the characters and their story touched me on many levels, I smiled, I laughed and I shed a tear as I joined this couple on their journey. I can say hand on heart this can be read as a stand-alone because this is my first read by the very talented Ms Wilson. Looking forward to reading more from this author as soon as time permits.
This is my first time reading anything by A.M. Wilson and after I finished reading this book I had to get Cami's and Laws book so I can read their story. It was an exceptionally well written best friend to lovers romance. A one night stand between two friends results in pregnancy. The story was a perfect palette of light and emotional moments . Nate is a widower and best friends with Kiersten and Cami . He is not looking for any relationships after his wife passed away and Kiersten is single 37 year old, she is very independent & outspoken and not looking for a serious relationship but fate has something else stored for both of them. The chemistry between these two was beautiful . It was not instalove but a slow burn romance with all the feels . I liked both the character , Kiersten was strong and independent she didn't want to rely on anyone to raise her baby and Nate was super caring and patient. Both of them were so perfect for each other. Once I started the story I just couldn't put it down. The writing was flawless and characters had depth . I am looking forward to reading Rhett's story now and also all the previous book by A.M.Wilson . One of my favorite reads from 2020
A.M. Wilson is a new to me author but after reading When Morning Comes I am going to be checking out some more of her books in the future!
When Morning Comes is a slow burn, surprise baby, friends to lovers romance and I was loving every single moment of it. Kiersten and Nathan have a drunken one night stand that results in a pregnancy. They have been friends for years and have been there for each other. They have AMAZING chemistry and can’t seem to stay away from each other.
Nathan is struggling with his new reality and that fact it wasn’t with his deceased wife, however, he is still there for Kiersten and is supportive of her. Kiersten struggles with the news, but she has loads of her support from her friends and family and knows that if possible she could take care of her child alone. Kiersten and Nathan’s relationship is full of ups and downs as they deal with the past, the future and the present.
When Morning Comes is an emotional story, but it will also make you swoon and laugh. A MUST READ!
I'll be honest, that blurb/cover is what hooked me initially and got me inside but those words, they are what kept me in. A.M. Wilson is a new-to-me author and y'all, she's definitely got me as a new fan after this beauty. This book was crazy good... and one night is going to change everything... forever.
When Morning Comes... not what I expected in a whole lot of unexpected, unputdownable, unforgettable ways. Nathan and Kiersten, whew boy these two were quite the complicated but super addicting pair and dang they were worth it in every single moment.
I m a huge sucker for the surprise baby and best friend tropes (bonus for being smashed together in one book!) and their romance, y'all it definitely fit that bill and then some.
If you like a more emotional, angstier, page-turning read that'll grip you hard from cover to cover then this is totally for you.
