Riley’s not the scared, weak boy of years ago.

Strong, handsome, wealthy, and successful, he should be happy, but he’s not. He’s still tormented by the bullies of his school years, the cruelty he was subjected to. There’s only one way to silence those reverberating memories, and that’s revenge.

But while seeking it, he finds peace in the small village where he befriends Zac,

It's not a book that's going to stay on my mind after about a week but it had easy-to-follow writing and I had a good time reading it. This was a short and sweet M/M romance with some low tier angst mixed in. I read it in a single sitting and it captured me from the start.

Riley was still traumatized because of his past and his experience with bullies. The author did a great job in explaining his anxiety. Zac seemed pretty sweet and pure. I wish we could have gotten his POV though.

The ARC for this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for the opportunity.

It's a light reading, fast and very beautiful. The characters are charismatic and cute, and while the pace of the book is fast and doesn't leave much room for detail ... it's still an enjoyable book. I read it with a smile on my face.

I would have loved that this story had 200 more pages, it was a pity that it lasted so little. I really liked the author's narration and I

I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley for my honest review. Thank you for my copy. It was a very fast read. It was a delightful story of Riley and Zac. Riley and Zac were adorable and sweet together. I also loved Riley’s family. I was pleasantly surprised that the revenge was not what I expected. I loved that. The ending was beautiful! I wanted more 😊

A Joyfully Jay review.

From the beginning, I was caught up in the story. Riley, by all accounts, should be happy. He’s got a lot of money and has experienced a lot of life, but he regrets leaving his sister and niece behind. I loved how he wanted to make amends. Along that same line, I enjoyed the banter between him and Emily and how good he was with Maisie. Also, even though they affected him negatively, I felt his childhood traumas helped make him the inherently good man he was.

This was a cute read! It was so quick that I read it in just a couple of hours. The characters were fun and lovable (except that one character) and I accidentally stayed up a little later than I meant to just to finish it.

BAKERY: check! LGBTQ COUPLE: check!! NICE DOSE OF DRAMA: Super check! All my favorite things rolled into one.

The cover page looks so intriguing and pulled me right in from the start.
The book itself is a fast read, in the sense that you start reading and before you know it, a solid couple of hours have gone by. But the plot is just so captivating that time flying doesn't matter and with every tick of the clock, you find yourself rooting for these boys.

This story was adorable and Riley and Zac's relationship joy was infectious! The characters were all really well done, expressive and defined. Usually romance novels are a bit flippant with density, but Keyes established rich foundations for her characters, leading to a really satisfying read.

This was lovely and, dare I say, a real treat!

Thanks for the ARC read Netgalley.

ere aren't too many books that make my heart flutter like this one. From beginning to end Sweet Revenge had me hooked and swooning like a fool.

The characters, main and side alike, were colorful and full of life, sometimes Romances have lively main characters and stale side characters that are just there to push two lovers together.

The overarching theme of Sweet Revenge, is, revenge, for the main character, Riley. Bullied throughout his primary school days, Rile

Riley is a strong, handsome and successful man on the outside but he is still emotionally scared and insecure on the inside from being subjected to years of torment at the hands of his former bullies.
He desperately needs to put that past behind him but he can only let go and suppress those memories once he has gotten his revenge.
Zac is a cute, boyish pastry chef. He is funny and sweet and is a light that Riley can't help but cling onto as the darkness of his past still lurks closeby.

This is the ideal quick, summer read ❤️ Riley is back in town after selling his business and travelling the world, here he meets Zac the gorgeous local cake shop owner. One problem, Zac has a boyfriend and it’s the high school bully that made Riley’s school life hell.
This story really pulled me through and I just didn’t want to put it down. I will definitely be following this author for future releases, a fab debut novel!

Riley is a grown man returning to his hometown in the UK (somewhere) to reconnect with his sister Emily and school-aged niece Maisy. He'd sold his business interests and took 6 months traveling to "find himself" and didn't bother to check in so he's in Emily's bad books. Riley meets Zac, the new and talented local baker, while he's buying a sweet treat for his surprise apology visit. Riley hates returning to his hometown because he was beaten and bullied from a young age, and he still suffers pa ...more

Thanks to Netgalley for providing a copy of this book for an honest, unbiased review.

I can absolutely see why some people would enjoy this book, but a great deal of it wasn't my cup of tea. I loved the premise and it had so much potential to me, a man who had been bullied as a child comes back to his hometown and falls for the local baker. The beginning was cute and sweet and the dialogue was downright delightful, then there were some moments in the middle where the dialogue was stilted and unco

There are sweet reads and then there are *sweet* reads. Sweet Revenge, coincidentally enough, is both!

This is a quick read-- like an hour, hour and half max that leaves you feeling good, vague-ly sugary after reading it.

Let’s quickly sum it up, so we’re all on the same page. We have Riley, a former resident of a Small Town who escaped to the Big City to make something of himself. He comes back to the Small Town at his sister’s need and meets Zac. Zac is the sweet-tempered baker who lives downst

plot: riley, who just sold his business, which left him with a huge amount of money, returns to his sister and her kid for a new beginning. that's where he meets twenty-something zac, the sweet and kind baker, whose boyfriend unfortunately is the bully of riley's childhood years. prepare for romantic feelings!

3/5🌟: this was a romantic, kind of cheesy and fast read. for those of you, who are into fanfics, it definitely felt like one. zac is a cute character and i loved that he was going after his

I‌ ‌received‌ ‌a‌ ‌copy‌ ‌of‌ ‌Sweet Revenge ‌by‌ Tilly Keyes ‌via‌ ‌IndiGo‌ ‌Marketing‌ ‌&‌ ‌Design‌ ‌in‌ ‌exchange‌ ‌for‌ ‌an‌ ‌honest‌ ‌review.‌ ‌This was a thoroughly sweet story set in a British village and giving the reader an idea of what life is like in such a place. Both the MCs, Riley and Zac, were great guys and obviously meant for each other. I enjoyed Riley’s interactions with his sister and niece Maisy, especially Maisy’s unicorn obsession. Sweet Revenge was a fun, quick read.

Riley moves back to town to be with his sister and niece after time apart. I was immediately drawn in to the quaint town and connected quickly with all the characters. I couldn't wait to see the romance unfold between Riley and Zac.

The complaints I had were few; we didn't get a lot of background on Riley and little to none on Zac. Zac was such a delight and I definitely would have loved to hear more about him. The romance between the 2 men started off pretty

Riley and Zac were well-written characters, engaging and fun to follow. Riley was hiding so much pain from his years of being bullied and the grip it had on him was keeping him from building something with Zac, I enjoyed seeing them interact and grow closer as the story progressed. All in all and enjoyable read even with some of the cheating overtones.

Sweet Revenge is a cute and really easy to read romance. The main protagonist Zac is really easy to connect with, and love interest Riley seems like a lovely guy. It's a really nice story. The only slight negative is there isn't much of a revenge plot like is stated in the description but the lack of it doesn't harm the story at all. ...more
