A very informative one on how to maintain a superior and healthy lifestyle in simple ways.
Topics are broken down and explained in a very straightforward and understandable manner. This book is free for everyone to download and read. Speaks volumes about the authors, that they wanted this information to read and shared freely.

This book should be read as a Dummy's Guide to Good Health because it's packed with information we know yet, we neither pay attention to it, nor apply it for even for the sake of our own well-being.

Here are few of my favorite takeaways from this book:

The definition of fitness is strength, endurance, flexibility and agility.

Mediation generates feelings of kindness, forgiveness and tolerance. It helps us develop compassion for our own selves. It helps us become a better person and takes away all the negativity from our lives, all of which lead to a calmer you. It also enables us to develop better control over anger.

The three most essentials when it comes to prayers are faith, belief and surrender.

You are what you sow to build your immune system. Use the soil of lifestyle to nurture and strengthen your immunity to reap its benefits to its fullest.

I recommend that TMIPL be read by everyone, especially since the current pandemic has proved that our health needs to be a priority. (पहला सुख निरोगी काया, anyone?!) Also, it's available online for free. Go grab your copy now!

This book is filled with information everyone should know and implement in their lives. I feel it even answered the question as to why I suffered from cancer.
The book confirmed many things I already knew – obvious stuff, like turn off electronic gadgets about an hour before going to sleep – but I also learned a lot of new facts.

Obviously one has to be prepared to make changes or else all the info is useless. A good way to start might be to take one piece of advice for every pillar of health – nutrition, sleep, exercise and mental health – and start implementing it into your daily routine, then add more changes over time.

My only criticism is on the sources at the end of the book. They are all links to scientific papers but that's it, just the links. To look more scientific the papers should have been quoted properly and the links provided additionally. But at least we get to check the sources online if we're interested.

The Magic Immunity Pill is co-authored by celebrity fitness expert Shilpa Shetty and ace nutritionist Luke Coutinho. They have had a long association and now they have come together with a book which is very timely and extremely helpful. It is just 339 pages divided into 18 chapters. Its also divided into four pillars that they describe in priority order of good health is quality sleep, balanced nutrition, adequate exercise and emotional wellness. In present times when a doctor is a phone call away and a hospital bed probably a longer time away, this book on your phone is absolute magic because it offers many household remedies and recipes. I have tried and it has worked and I would recommend that don’t wait for a doctor, just get this book on your phone because you just have to look it up and resolve a common cold, cough, fever and similar ailments.

This is a fabulous book on the subject.
Luke’s knowledge and wisdom on this is so vast, it’s a treasure.

However, I don’t understand why he always has to co-write with a celeb, who adds absolutely nothing to the book. Shilpa Shetty has a chapter on yoga, with nothing but links to her personal website, that sells premium paid plans.

I feel Luke doesn’t need any other name above his to sell the book. His content is far cooler than that !

Other than the lame Shilpa ka mantra bit this book is a true gift.
