Search and Rescue: Book Three

Five months ago boy-band lead singer Cash Harper left Glen Echo in a hospital in Jalisco… and broke his heart.

Glen’s heart is the only home Cash has ever known. He’s spent the past five months trying to find his friend Brielle and make sense of his own instincts. Now he’s ready to be a real partner and lover to Glen—but first they have to finis

While I did find this book enjoyable, it not a book that will be sticking me. I found myself looking for more scenes with secondary characters like Preston from the last book and, hopefully, a future book featuring Spencer. I could be in the mood to read about folks with perceived asshole personality. I will say the flashback to get the reader caught on the relationship between Cash and Glen was well done. I was glad we didn't linger in the past and push forward in the present to the

I love Amy Lane and this book did not disappoint. I've been looking forward to Glen and Cash's story after unresolved issues from Silent Heart. Glen Echo, complicated, best friend, best brother, holds his heart close. Cash Harper, music boy, ran from Glen twice, must decide does he run again or stand and fight for Glen. This story has villians, a remote island, crazy helicoptor rides and a very sweet dog. Preston, who I absolutely adore, tells Cash he will hurt him if Cash hurts Glen's heart aga ...more

This book grabbed me right away since it was kind of a continuation from the previous book. I knew I wanted these two to figure themselves out, but first they had to rescue Brielle. So action and adventure ensues with some humor and hi-jinks as they pursue their mission. We get to see Damian and Preston again and Preacher! I love dogs in books. Then Spencer, Glen’s roommate and fellow pilot adds to it. I enjoyed this. It kept me turning each page but it just didn’t grab my heart as much as her o ...more

Amy Lane is one of my go-to-one-click authors. I enjoyed reading Safe Heart, because it brought back all of the previous characters from the first two books, including Preston, my favorite character from the series. He's there, helping his brother Glen find and rescue people from a cult, held captive on a small island in the Sea of Cortez, off the coast of Baja, California.

The story starts out with flashbacks from past to present, catching us up on the happenings of Glen meeting a flighty lead

I adored this book. I haven’t read the earlier books (yet) but this does well standalone. Search and Rescue pilot Glen Echo is a bit of a snarky curmudgeon. Boy-band lead singer Cash Harper is smart, a bit self-involved and emotionally stunted. Watching Glen relax a bit is great but watching Cash grow up and own his emotions is what makes this story fantastic. I really enjoyed this story.

What I Think: So, I did the review for the second tale in this series and it solidified my love for Mme. Amy’s style, heartbreak et al. I didn’t like second chance tales but it seems I’m beginning to develop a taste for it with all these amazing puppeteers writing such delicious tales. The second tale had me swallowing hard before starting it because I loved Cash until he broke Gecko’s heart and love turned into acute dissapointment. I agree with Gecko that men don’t leave. He left and did so ho ...more

I was so glad this was Cash and Glen’s story. After the last book, I wanted to shake Cash so bad. Twice he got scared and ran and now he’s got some making up to do as he’s finally found his friend to rescue again and he needs Glen’s help.
When Glen got hurt in the earthquake, it was a scary time. But Glen just wanted to go home with Cash and expand on what they had started. Cash had run on him once before, but he was willing to let that go and try again. But when Glen wakes up in the hospital, Ca

Men stay!

What can I say? Amy Lane did it again. The story was engaging and I was on the edge of my bed with this story. Ready for a HEART stopping read? You just found it!

Here's a cult you would never want to join but the men of Search and Rescue are up to the challenge of rescuing and recovering the clueless in over their heads rich kids whose parents sent them for treatment.

I love love LOVED the prologue and how it seamlessly went back and forth from present day to the past getting us caught u

This third installment in the Search and Rescue series can be read as a standalone but you would be cheating yourself if you didn't read the first two. The main characters in this book are Glen Echo and Cash Harper. In book two they are involved in an earthquake and their rescue is told from the perspective of the team doing the rescue, Glen's brother, Preston, and his best friend, Damien. That earthquake is revisited in flashbacks through the memories of Glen and Cash in this book. Cash is a le ...more

Safe Heart, third in Amy Lane’s series featuring the Gecko, Inc.’s Search and Rescue service, is fantastic fun! These stories are long on action. You don’t have to read the others to understand what’s happening in Safe Heart – but you’ll want to.

In Safe Heart we catch up with Glen Echo (aka Gecko) just as Cash Harper reappears at Glen’s door to ask for his help again. Cash is the young singer who’d hired Glen, and gotten injured and rescued with him in Silent Heart. Glen is still hurt and angry

I have been enjoying this series so much, and Glen and Cash's romance is one I've been awaiting anxiously. Glen and Cash are a great match, and I've been rooting for them since Cash broke Glen's heart at the end of Silent Heart. When Cash comes back to Glen at the beginning of this book, which begins five months later, he is a changed man. He knows that he made a huge mistake when he left Glen in the hospital, and he is ready to prove to Glen - and to Glen's friends and brother - that he's not g ...more

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Safe Heart. I knew it would be a solid story because Amy Lane is just good like that, but for some reason I just wasn’t really that in to Glen prior to this book. So yeah, I really ended up loving Glen. He loves his brother and his best friend like a brother. And he pines for Cash even if he is pissed at him for leaving. The concept of a friendship you would do anything for is strong in both the book and throughout the series. Cash is desperate to save his f ...more

I've been anxiously awaiting Glen and Cash's story. This isn't an easy road for them. After some poor decisions, Cash has to earn not only Glen's trust, but that of his friends as well.

Glen is a grump and is being cautious about Cash. Cash just realized that he has a lot of work ahead of them if he want to be a permanent part of Glens life.

The mission they are on actually started in the last book where now five months have past and Cash still needs help rescuing his friend. I really liked the

Nice suspense and great action

This book should be read in order. There are 2 books before this one and the characters in Safe Heart play a big part in book 2.

Cash can be a little flighty and you find out why that is more in this book. He holds his own and does what needs to be done.

Glen has a big heart, but it's been hurt by Cash. He'll still keep his promise though. He knows Cash will be back, but will he be able to give him his heart.

This is a great story and if you love Amy Lane's writing, y

Cash and much angst between these two, and this book could have been just as angsty...except it wasn't. Full of hijinks and escapades and humor, this was a wild and fun ride. Don't get me wrong, the ouch is still there; we get a front-row seat to the heartbreak that is Cash and Glen, but it is cushioned by the ongoing events of the team's latest search and rescue, and yes, the gang is all here, including Spencer, Damien, and PRESTON. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE PRESTON?

I love this book. It is action packed, full of feelings, and an amazing sequel to the search and rescue series. However, this book takes place both before and after book 2 (consists of flashbacks of what was happening before/during books two, and the aftermath and final rescue set up for in that book). If you haven’t read book two you might feel a bit lost about the characters. Don’t feel bad just read the 1&2 books first. All three in the series, so far are AMAZING! I love the action, adventure ...more

I really enjoyed this second-chance love story. Characters and one of the storylines from the prior book is continued here, so this book will definitely be more enjoyable if you have read at least the previous book in this series. Cash is back after running away six months ago, needing help, and looking to prove he is done running. Both Cash and Glen are very likeable and there is a nice bit of action in this story, so it never drags. I have grown quite fond of the Gecko search-and-rescue family ...more

Cash is back! It’s been five months since the events in Silent Heart and Glen is mostly healed except for his broken heart. Cash pops back in to his life asking for help and ready to prove he’s worth fighting for.

Their chemistry is awesome and the whole team shows up in this book to save the kids at the fake rehab. A light and quick read, Safe Heart is a perfect summer romance.

This is the third book in the Search and Rescue series. While they can be read alone, all of them are awesome, so don’

I loved this book. Having read the second in the series and enjoyed it I couldn't wait to read this one and it didn't disappoint. You don't need to have read any of the previous books in the series to enjoy this one but I recommend you do as all the characters are so interesting. I read this book in one sitting as I couldn't wait to find out if Glen and Cash got their HEA. It was a perfect mix of romance and adventure 10/10.

Safe Heart by Amy Lane was given in exchange for an honest review. This is the 3rd installment of the Search and Rescue series and with each book it gets better and better. I loved Cash and Glen chemistry. Cash finally shows up and works to get Glen to forgive him ,but knows that words mean nothing to Glen but actions are more important. This was a great story from beginning to end from its sweet and tender moments to the no way moments I couldn't put it down.

This is the third book in the Search and Rescue series. It is a MM contemporary adventure romance. I really loved this book; it begins with the MC on the outs and develops from there. The characters are spot on and the pace magnificent, I had a hard time putting it down. The adventure was a really wonderful part of the story. I loved how this book really brought in characters from the first two books. It was a great book, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I’m so excited that Cash and Glenn finally got their story. I have to admit that I am not a big fan of flashbacks in books but the flashback in this book was necessary in my opinion to bring the reader up to speed on their past relationship. I really enjoyed the action story, it was a great addition to the love story between Cash and Glenn. Looking forward to reading Spencer’s book in the future.

How could he not know that love would set him free? ~ Cash

The anticipation of reading Cash and Glen’s love story from its beginning in Mexico while trying to rescue Cash’s best friend from a cult, has kept me on pins and needles all of these past months. I had so many questions after reading Damien and Preston’s story where the adventure in Mexico first introduced Cash to the search and rescue team. Luckily for me, the author did a great job in this third installment with a past/present viewpoi

Glen and Cash needed time apart to heal and regroup. This book does that justice. While it does work as a standalone, you will get more out of the story if you read it in order. Glen is such a relatable character. While I enjoyed this book, it was not my favorite Amy book. However, I did love reading about Cash finally getting his guy.

I love this series & this book has done nothing to dissuade me from that. Gecko & Cash’s story is an exciting adventure & their HEA is well deserved. I just hope that Spencer gets his HEA in the next book because he well deserves one. This is definitely an A* star book. Thank you again Ms Lane for a fabulous story Xx

This one was a lot of fun. There's no, like, super complicated reason for me to analyze, but at the end of it, I thought, "This one was a lot of fun!" Also, Spencer is my dude. Does Spencer get a book? I can't imagine who his paring would be, at this point.

This was a great addition to the Search and Rescue series. I was glad to get Glen and Cash's story, their relationship and the mission to rescue Cash's friend. Because of the underlying story arc I would recommend reading the previous books first.

Exceeded Expectation!

This is the third book in the Search & Rescue series, it's Glen and Cash's story.
I loved it, it explained why and what happened in the previous book nicely.

I hope there's more in the series, at least Spencer's.

Glen and Cash have almost given me heart palpitations! I’m so glad these guys are back together and saving lives and knocking heads!

The secondary characters, that we’ve met in the beginning of this series, are as strong as ever.

Highly recommended!
