Goldie is a book that reads very much like one of the old-fashioned fairy tales that inspired it, dark and deceiving, laced with mystery, and layered with magic. It begins in tragedy and ends in triumph, and in between Danni Maxwell has a lot to say about the love – the love of family, the love of friends, and the love of self.

With Storytellers, a bear-like Ursidae, a fairy tale huntress, a giant called the Gromas, magic stones, and a pack of wolves, there’s a lot packed into this short story an

In exchange for an ARC of this book, I am writing an honest review.

This short story is an LGBT re-write of the fairy tale, Goldilocks, and it was thoroughly enjoyable! The mythology of the story was neatly interwoven and described, and the references to the original Goldilocks tale were a great addition. This is a short stor

3.5 ⭐️ but I always round up.
Goldie is an easy, quick read. I wouldn’t classify it as a romance since it’s more about self love and acceptance than anything. It had a great message. The romance aspect felt a little rushed but it was an interesting read
