Shuhrat (Шухрат) his real name: Gulyam Aminzhonovich Alimov [Russian: Гулям Аминжонович Алимов] - Uzbek and Soviet writer , poet , playwright and translator . People's Writer of Uzbekistan (1983). Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR (1978).
His debut as a poet in 1936 with a collection of poems "Mehrol". In 1936-1940 several more collections of his poetry were published.
