For Brassil Industries President, Shane Brassil, life is finally looking up. After years of begging his long-time lover, Damon Johnson, to return from London to take over the job of company Vice-President, he's finally gotten his wish. Now Shane's sights are set on the next leg of his plan. The sweet but sexy Rachel Ellerby has tempted him since the day he hired her as his executive secretary. Now that Shane has everyone in the same place, it's time to start the family he's always longed for. He already knows Damon is interested, they've talked about bringing Rachel into their relationship for months. Rachel is definitely interested in him, the sparks between the two of them are too intense to misread, but how will she feel about Damon? When a near-tragedy threatens to disrupt his plans, Shane will stop at nothing to keep the two people he cares about safe. Will it be enough? Or will outside forces tear the threesome apart? Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of M/M and M/M/F sexual relations.
Rocky start. Picked up once it got away from the reality bending of early 20s woman as assistant to a NY CEO. Try to avoid these. Maybe need a new shelf.
If I had a Shane and a Damon... *drool* These men are hot and they are hot for Rachel, at the same time. This is one of those MMF, where the guys are intimately connected, which was actually pretty hot. The only problem CL probably faced was finding something more intense that DP, which happened nearly at the beginning of the book. So she opts for piercing. The weird part that was kind of out of the blue, was the rapist that selected Rachel. It was kinda unnecessary, though I guess it helped with make the story less sexual - which is actually contrary to the point.
Not bad, but very simplistic writing. Of course, I still managed to read and enjoy the book, so I think the rest of you would have no problems with it.
President of Brassil Industries Shane Brassil, is relieved when his vice president and partner Damon not only returns from London to fill the empty chair in the executive offices but also for him to set in motion his plan to make a certain sexy executive secretary their own.
Damon Johnson, long term partner to Shane has come back from London, confident in the fact that he can hold his own in the business arena with Shane. The confidence he feels spills over into almost acting too hastily grabbing at what Shane has spent nearly two years nurturing.
Rachel Ellerby, executive secretary to Brassil Industries President, has a sense of style and an even keener sense of dress; however the one person she has tried to tempt with everything in her arsenal – apart from jumping in his lap, has never given her the time of day.
When the new vice president lays down the new office rules to her and the boss is in agreement, she begins to wonder if this was a dream. A near tragedy strikes before they have a chance to put plans in motion, will all three survive the emotional upheaval the attack has brought on them?
Carol Lynne has come out guns blazing with CORPORATE PASSION. A stand alone book, she has given us an intense ménage relationship between three people who are exactly what each other need at this phase of their life.
Damon and Shane have been together since college and other than Damon’s self doubt in regards to business – they have remained steadfast and true to each other.
Knowing from the first moment that Rachel is their third Shane bides his time and awaits Damon return, thing doesn’t go as planned and scars are left all round after an attack on his little family.
CORPORATE PASSION is a good read, with lively and very creative sex scenes that will most definitely have you reaching for something tall, wet and cool.
It's the third book with m/m/f couples that I read by this writer and I sadly have to say that she fail each time. She seems to have problem with writing interesting intelligent women and credible interaction between partners. Rebecsa's act slutty, think slutty and...dress slutty (at work too!?)! She is a corporate secretary on a big compagny and do not seems to have the capacity to breath by herself. Total lack of credilibity. Shanne and Damon appear, in my eyes, to be two conceited asshole. They tease her for the last two years, because Damon was not ready...They know she want Shanne at first and love the power that it's give them on her. The first sex scene was not hot and sensual but yeark, disgusting! I had the impression of reading the scenario for an old porn movie. I stop the book right there. I love Carol Lynne universe. Normally. Not this time.
This was an interracial m/m/f romance. It had interesting elements too it but frankly, Rachel was not a favorite of mine. No woman has a right to be attacked because of how she dresses but when Rachel gets attacked in the park she goes draws in on herself and starts dressing matronly. She thinks that men everywhere are trying to get her and she becomes paranoid even when the situation doesn't exactly merit it. I understand fear...but it seemed a bit overdone. I didn't dislike her but there were many areas that I found her to be irritating.
Shane and Damon...smokin hot! Their relationship with each other and with Rachel was unique and I thought Ms. Lynne did a good job drawing an image of what that would look like if the book were "real life."
Overall, it was an even paced and mostly enjoyable read.
Well, after finishing the book, I can say the ending is quite anticlimactic to say the least. I mean, common! the heroine after just one chapter have sex with both the guys? Every chapter after chapter there's always sex going on, either m-m,f-m,m-m-f. I'm quite happy that the writer wrote some kind of dilemma that may spice the plot. But after the next chapters with the same situation (having sex, some petty issues, then having sex again) I can say that the author just though "Hey I should put some thrill here so the reader will not gag themselves after so much sex"...I read other menage stories that are better than this. Nice effort of the author though.
This was okay, the whole love triangle going on was sort of implausible. Or maybe not, what do I know. Their chemistry was combustible no matter how you looked at it, or from what angle. Rachel's close call with a rapist was scary and that fueled a deeper relationship between her and Shane and Damon . However, the way the situation was resolved, well, I found lacking. It was quickly over and done with and I was left with questions on why it ended like it did. I mean the guy was never caught and their okay with that?
I already have it on a four star rating but I didn't exactly think that the ending was a good enough ending. I mean the ending was the freaking maniac wasn't caught so the main problem here was mostly mental with regards to Rachel but I must say that this is much closer to my comfort what with the wedding, sex, double penetration, Christian Grey 's and two non - related guys (I guess Twin Temptations really marked something on me) The only new idea I got was three way kiss -can't exactly imagine it but oh well.
I really loved this book. It was a lite read even with some heavy elements during the story... But I found the chars truly likable. It started off pretty fast but then settled into a nice pace. It was steamy in all the right places but didn't lack as a typical mmf read. The sex wasn't spelled out in any graphic detail but left just enough. It made me laugh a number of times... Was just a great book to read on a lazy Sunday!
Probably one of the first erotica I ever read, and definitely the first one with M/M scenes. The heroine's assault and self esteem issues seem clunky in hindsight, especially compared to Megan Hart's more nuanced plots.
