This is book #3 in the Addie McCormick series for middle grade readers. It's a quick read. It has a religious publisher and is a little preachy with a whole lot of prayer. The intrigue of a missing movie star who has been hiding out for 45 years is interesting. The statue was made for her last movie and is one of her prize possessions. The movie star is good friends with Addie and her best friends Nick and Brian. The statue isn't stolen until page 130 of the 142 pages in the book, but by then the reader knows exactly why it was stolen and by whom.
