Omg this book is about 95 pages and uses "love" 103 times! It got so annoying reading how they love each other. Especially since there was no actual emotional connection between these ladies. It was always I love you love your tits love your wet pussy. Blah blah. Just the cheesiest porn and worst dialogue I've ever read.

60% spent two nights together and on second day together. And have done almost nothing but have sex but go on a picnic. There they can't wait to get home and have to have sex right there in the park. Wow this book makes it sound like lesbians have no self control. Also after two nights together she asks her if she could be happy living in cattle valley. And when she says no she pouts. Seriously this book sucks. The dialogue is so unnatural it's beyond distracting.

Eh third day together and it's just random "I love you bombs" this is all just physical. All they do is have sex and when they do talk the dialogue is so flat I can't even call it robotic. There is no chemistry or tension here and the story is just really boring.

Omg then it skips two weeks and she's closing her book store and moving to Chicago with Courtney. She will miss the town and friends and her shop she loves. But after two weeks she loves Courtney more than what she's loved and worked for over last few years. But she isn't going to tell Courtney. When Courtney ready to go she just going to surprise by going to.wtf? This has the smallest plot ever and what little plot there is, is beyond stupid. This is poorly written porn. Pretty much no plot.

I managed to finish and can't think of anything I liked except it was short. And that it's easily forgettable.

I'm really disappointed with myself for choosing this as my first full f/f story. There was no romance, no sexual tension, and no plot. The two chicks just hopped into bed together within a few hours of meeting and were suddenly inseparable. Insta-love is NOT my thing. Seriously, there was no chemistry at all between the two of them!!

Plus, I've never read any of the the m/m Cattle Valley books so all the name dropping of the local people was pointless to me.

Ugh, I just want to find a good quality f/f romance novel...not slutty porn.

I will start by saying that this is the first ff book I have read, so I really don't have much to compare this to, so I am just going to go with what I felt. Unfortunately, there wasnt too much I enjoyed in this book. There were many times when I thought things should have been happening one way, such as a general one-time hookup, but it read as though these two had already been together for weeks. By day two, after a tour of the town, there was already talk about whether one would move there, and when she said no, a bit of a tantrum ensued. I think it was that same day Naomi wanted Courtney to stay with her instead of the inn. Not long after the fight, it was decided they needed to talk, but Naomi had another minor tantrum that Courtney wanted to talk about the fight, not the "relationship" talk she had hoped for.

Then, they argued about why neither of them could move to the other. Naomi decides she can, and just drops everything, including her bookstore business, to move with Courtney without even knowing that was really what Courtney wanted. Then they both wanted to move.

Basically, none of this seemed real. The dialog was hard to swallow, as were the descriptions and the sex. I didn't feel any connection with the characters and things just moved way too fast. There was just way too much insta everything crammed into this short story for my liking.

This is a DNF for me. My friends and I decided to try a F/F book. I am not going to rate this book because I knew at the outset that the subject matter would not entice or delight me. I didn't like this book, but there was not really much of a chance that I was going to, so it's not fair to this author to rate a book that I already knew I would have zero interest in. If I had tried to read a book about the migrating habits of the elusive African tsetse fly, I would not give it a bad review because I fell asleep. I was nearly immediately skeeved out by the women's wet chins. TMI? Sorry about that. I tried to power through a little more even after that, but eventually I had to tap out.

From a literary perspective, I did not like Miss Byrnes' writing style or the general plot. The MCs experienced insta-love and Naomi was trying to convince Courtney to move to Cattle Valley after day one. Everything was too quick, rushed, and unrealistic.

I thought this was a really good concept to have other authors write about the female characters in Carol Lynne's Cattle Valley series. That's the only reason the book intrigued me enough to give it a go. I will not be reading anymore books in this series but if you enjoy F/F books then you may enjoy this one.

In a town populated almost exclusively by gay people (except the token straight couple in an abusive marriage) stereotypes abound. Reading this book makes me think the author has never encountered a gay person in her entire life. The characters are one dimensional and lack personalities. The conversations are shallow and meaningless. The emotional connection between the main characters is non-existent.

Normally I'd give up on a book so badly written, but this story was so unbelievable I had to find out how the author was going to end it.

I'm still trying to figure out how a drunken game of truth or dare added anything significant to the story line, but since it's the only real conversation the main characters have before deciding they are ready to move across the country to be together it seems like a reasonable title for the book.

Una historia, para mi, bastante convencional, considerando lo que estoy acostumbrada a leer, sin embargo, no por eso menos agradable, no sentí que perdí mi tiempo, pero no tiene la suficiente cantidad de drama para mi gusto. La idea de una utopía LGBT en cualquier parte del mundo es maravillosa, pero poco realista, lo cual le resta mucho a la historia, a mi juicio. Los personajes están bien manejados, es fácil imaginarse tales convivencias y situaciones, de nuevo, nada que se pueda considerar extremadamente creativo.

Está bien para pasar el rato, pero no para los que esperen alguna lectura de profunda reflexión y juegos mentales, es una historia de amor sencilla, y utópica. Nada mal para ser mi primera experiencia con la literatura lésbica, más allá del manga.

OMG - this was very poor. Not quite poor enough for a 1* but so close.

Now I don't have an issue with straight people writing gay fiction, however, this book reads like a M/M fiction book with "tits" instead of pecs!

The characters have as much emotional depth as a puddle and what is the M/M audience's fascination with anal!

This feels like someone that is writing to order. Please if the author reads this, can you look at your characters and decide to move beyond 'instant attraction' between the 2 hot lesbians!

This story is written for teenage boys.
