Thought it was a straight-up western but it's set during the Mexican Revolution and definitely not a typical western. The main characters adventures are due to their women in the line of fire. They save the women plus random others they run into. Fast-paced. ...more

One of the better-written Westerns to come out of the genre in a while. Dialog is convincing and the narrative is evocative of the time and place. Outstanding debut.
