Adrianne Chrisander is shocked when she learns she has inherited a cruise line. A relative she hasn’t seen since she was a child decided to make her his heir. Adrianne is thrilled and decides to take a trip incognito on one of the ships to check things out before assuming ownership of the cruise line.

Imagine her shock when she learns there is already someone on board claiming to be the owner. Since nobody knows who she really is, she decides to do some investigation on her own and find out who this person really is.

Meanwhile, Sylvie Marconi, the owner of Contessa Cosmetica, is traveling on the ship advertising her latest product which claims to rejuvenate skin. When the product is stolen, Sylvie blames the Calypso Cruise Line and threatens to make things very difficult for the company.

Adrianne doesn’t want to lose her cruise line before she even gets ownership. She takes matters into her own hands to get to the bottom of all the strange happenings on the ship.

This is book one in the “Cozy Cruise Mystery” series and I really enjoyed it. It’s a quick read and gave me a chance to get on a cruise ship, which I’ve missed doing these past couple of years.

The author totally transported me into Adrianne’s world. This is a cozy mystery without a murder, but still so intriguing to follow. It is fun getting to know Adrianne and her friend, Carol.

The series has 15 books, so far, but they are quick reads and I’m looking forward to getting to know more about these characters. It’s a fast-paced mystery with a touch of romance added into the mix.

Concept was good.  Very poor execution.  Too many editing errors.  Very unrealistic wrap up.

A light and fairly enjoyable book, but editing or proof reading would help.

I was amused that the boyfriend George prized his sport scar, but the woman trying to break into the strongroom would have been better not pulling a black baklava over her head. The syrup might have dripped onto the floor.

"Out came blue latex gloves, which she quickly pulled on. The next item she extracted was a black baklava, which she swiftly pulled over her head, hiding her face"

Cruising

A fast read kept me interested through the whole book. There were a few misspelled words and names of someone else by mistake but still kept me interested. I’m going to start the next book right away. I like the way she writes and the cruises are my favorites. Thank you Lizzie.

Undercover on the Calypso, by Lizzie Josephson is a cozy mystery aboard a luxury cruise ship. There is plenty of light-hearted antics, which move the story along, but there isn’t enough conflict to make me buy into this story. For one thing, the cruise line is inherited in a surprise revelation, and the heroine, Adrianne, seems to take all in stride, when an inheritance such as that would knock most people off their feet, or at least cause them to stop and catch their breath. She immediately decides, for no apparent reason, to check out her new cruise line undercover, before it becomes public knowledge that she is the new owner. In fact, everyone in this story seems to just accept that things are what they are, without expressing any doubt or resistance, and nothing really stands in the way of the mystery being solved.

I'm really going to like this series if this first book is any indication! It's a fun switch from murder to Adrianne and her crew knowing about schemers and going about stopping them. It kept me reading just as much as if there'd been a murder. I especially liked Capt. Keith that Adrianne got friendly with. She had to be careful about her identity since as the new owner, she was sailing incognito with her bestie who she'd had hired on as social media manager. Carol was a great best friend too who couldn't believe her amazing luck getting a job like she did right out of college. I enjoy it a lot when the good guys are in control the whole time! I'm diving right into the next one!

This was a new series for me I thought I'd try. The concept of mysteries set on a cruise line was good, but the whole premise, to me, is just unrealistic. I'd have been more interested if it didn't have a main character who suddenly becomes almost a billionaire and a cruise line that is for only the top 1% of the population. She inherits a cruise line along with half the planet and falls in love with the first captain of a ship (of course) she meets. It's all a little too cheesy for me. Besides that, I cannot stand reading books that have not been edited properly. If the editor doesn't properly know how to use an article, then please get someone who does.

High Seas Mystery

This is the first in the series of Cruise Line mysteries.
Adrienne finds out that she has inherited her great uncle's cruise line now that she is 25. Her best friend and she book a cruise under assumed names so that they can see first hand how the staff treats their guests.
The mystery was intriguing, however, a bit of a choppy story line. Everything was solved in a hurry at the end with neither story being developed very well.
I will read the next one as I received them for free from various cozy mystery emails. Hopefully they improve.

Surprise inheritance

It was a very fun and enjoyable story. I loved how one woman went from being poor to very rich in a quick amount of time. Author Lizzie Josephson had a nice way of bringing joy and happiness to a fast read that was relaxing and fun to read with great characters, storyline, and local. This story was part 1 of Josephson's Fun Ship Crise Mysteries series. I have started reading part 2 in the book series Cooking Up Trouble, which continues where part 1 ended, starting with the characters going on their next cruise.

A brand new author and an incredibility great mystery book. I couldn't put this book down and I can not wait for the next book to be released. The characters are wonderful and smart, tricky and people that others want to be around. It is a cruise book but I don't want to tell you anything and spoil it. It is definitely worth trying this book by a new author. I am sure since it is her first book it must have her on pins and needles wondering how wonderful it is..

This was a fun and exciting book! What a wonderful surprise for Adrienne and her friend Carol. An inheritance and an unplanned adventure. The characters in this book are wonderful. So wonderfully suited to the story. And what a dreamy setting on a luxury cruise! And what a surprise that Adrienne turns out to be such a sleuth to uncover everything that is going on. It's a pretty short book, so I can't say too much, but be prepared to be entertained!

I didn't expect much from this book to be honest but boy was I wrong! It is a great start to a (hopefully) fab series. Adrianne finds herself the new owner of a cruise line and goes aboard incognito with her best friend to find out how it operates and that's where the fun and mystery begins. I won't spoil it by telling you any more except to say ....... READ IT!
Can't wait to read the next book.

It was okay. I love cruising so the concept was great and honestly I would maybe read more in the series because of that. But I had difficulty following the writing. It was like the author kept going from 1st to 3rd POV and it had me confused. I understand that this is meant to be a short cozy cruising mystery read but it was so short I couldn’t grasp who the characters were or the storyline. I guess I expected more out of this book.

Taking a cruise 🚢

My first book by this Author. I enjoy reading books about cruises, the killers, robbers, etc. are so stupid, as they are stuck on a big ship! This book was so entertaining, not only the storyline, but the characters. Just purchased the Authors other books in this series. Recommend!

Undercover on the Calypso

This book was better than I thought it would be. I liked some of the history of Adrienne and her family, and how she became owner of the cruise line. I also liked how she helped get her friend the job.
Can't wait to see if the rest of the series will be as good.

This is a fun lighthearted series on an elegant cruise ship...I enjoyed the fact Adrianna is a smart strong woman. While her new role is a bit of a long shot it is still an enjoyable lead to see her take on an authoritative role and make smart business Decisions. I look forward to reading more in this enjoyable series

Who is Who ?

This was a quick, fun read. There more than one plot going on. The action was constantly jumping from one to the other. I couldn't stop reading. Looking forward to reading more adventures of the new owner of the cruise line. Thumps up!

A quick easy read that I enjoyed in spite of several grammatical errors. The lead is intelligent and strong willed and the supporting characters interesting with room for deeper development. I look forward to the next book.

Undercover on the Calypso

A very good read. Needs a little better proof reading, typos and bad grammar, but otherwise a really good book. Not the kind of mystery I was expecting but a rather nice change. 🐼

A fun time

Yes, don't go looking for a super deep novel, but it is a super fun adventure. I liked the characters and the way Adrienne handled her inheritance. The mystery was also fun.

Great quick book to read! I love books that place on cruise ships, and this one didn't disappoint. One person got vindication for a crime committed against her, and another got the surprise of his life at the end of the cruise.

Fun Cozy Mystery

Good book! Who wouldn't love finding out they are rich beyond their wildest dreams because a family member died and left YOU, their sole heir? All you have to do is run the already thriving businesses and continue to "make" money?! Count me in!

A fine start to a new series.

The characters are believable, and some are a bit quirky. The plot is twisty and interesting. The world building is good. I can't wait to read the next book.
