Performing a speech in front of thousands was only the beginning of my worries…

My life with my clan was starting to fall into place, as my relationships with my mates continued to settle into our new normal routines.
But I keep hearing a mysterious voice, and it is sending my mates into fits of worry.
As if that is not enough for me to worry about, I received a summons from the Aldawi Sovereign, wanting to meet the one who captured his son's heart. Not only is he the ruler of one of the most powerful territories, but he is the sire of my children’s father.
The problem? He won’t take no for an answer.

Who knew this visit would forever change all of our futures…

Author’s note: This is a medium burn space fantasy alien RH romance story with steamy scenes between the human heroine and her very alien heroes. This is the third book in a series that’s meant to be read in order.

3.5 hell of a cliffhanger.

Also the FMC is annoying me with the melodrama & tears.

I really enjoyed this book in this series.

Selena is a great female MC, you can really see her coming into her own person and becoming more secure with herself and her mates.

I did not see that ending coming at all, but it was an amazing twist and I am really looking forward to the next book.

A good series so far.

DNF at 19%. Was reading because the harem evolves with every book and the mystery of who will be the next bond mate kept me entertained.
I’m not invested in the plot and characters.
Was seeing another si fi series in this one but this one is not as interesting, unfortunately.

I really like the new series Cosmic Honor so I wanted to check out other books by the author in the period of waiting. Seems like I’ll just keep to one series for the time being.

Selena's harem grows, and she fights for the rights of the refugees, but this entry comes up short compared with the previous.

All the feels

Selena has faces so much. Released at 16 from a tube to be an ongoing experiment for 9 years before her rescue, her pod being rescued by the Circuli- where she learns all new cultures, finds out she's pregnant by a male who's haunted her dreams for 9yrs and never seen the face of, bears 3 cubs she's not prepared for and which labor was more difficult than expected, has had to fight for her independence- both as a sentient being and as a mate to the impregnating male she discovered was a prince, during her trial claims 2 more mates- Circuli princes that greedy queens were trying to claim to take over the colony, discovered the moon she was gifted expects her to lead them, dealing with her emotional upheavals and those of her mates, ... The list is long and it feels like the only rest she gets is when she's unconscious after the attack by the cyan thread mystery male who keeps attacking, claiming she has his brother. That doesn't count as rest. So, when the sovereign summons her clan, she knows she's preparing for yet another battle. But no one could have predicted how that would end up!

Spoilers ahead.
So, I know some readers hate these, but this is a cliffhanger. The next book is already out (I'd already read this but apparently Kindle ate my precious review lol) so the pain is minimal. Be sure you read the 2 F5 (Fabulous 5, Kaede's sisters) books before the next Selena one, though. B's and K's books occure between this and the next (B's first, then K's) and give insight into what going on behind the scenes. Also, as B's features Q, it is a lot of fun. Develop takes us through the gauntlet. We see Selena trying to make a home for her cubs, try to balance 5 mates and a mouthy gaurd, set up businesses and entertainments, learn to lead, and still try to figure out who she is besides being a mom, a nestqueen, a prince's mate and Nova, and the leader of a moon full of people. We see the struggles, the peaceful moments, the POVs of her mates, the dates and even some cub playtime. Hide and seek with 4 males who can follow your bond thread anywhere, 1 who can sniff you out, and 3 determined cubs learning to hunt is a challenge lol.

We continued to get lots of relationship exposition with the FMC Selena's existing 5-person harem that took up at least 80% of the story. The relationship issues dragged on for me again, similarly to the last book, when I had expected more action and parental drama from the synopsis.

It was only a matter of time before Kaede joined Selena's harem, but I thought his behavior was more immature teenager heckling than adult angst and was more annoyed with him than on his side. The evil father was very one-dimensional and not a very satisfying antagonist. I still couldn't get over Kaede's sisters being called the Fab Five - it sounded like young adult high school naming rather than a serious galactic assassin team.

I felt the last couple of chapters with the major action were the best, but it wasn't enough to raise the overall rating of the book for me. I'm still not convinced that the FMC is majestically confident and worthy of all the praise from his harem rather than TSTL arrogant and brash, especially considering she had three cubs to think about.

Still willing to continue onward to untangle the mysterious voices going on in her head.

Love this space opera!

That ending was just plain cruel! Be warned the cliff hanger in this book will tear out your heart. That being said this read was amazing. The story progressed nicely in this installment and all of Selena's nestmates have formed bonds with each other. All 5 of them are learning to work together since Selena is the center of their world. Decisions are made among her Circuli mates due to cultural needs but none are surprising. I do hope that her relationships with the princes deepens and turns into more. Her shadow and her have continued to build and work on their relationship and it's nice to see how far they've come along. However poor Selena just can't catch a break and just when you hope things are settling down disaster strikes. The final scenes had me crying because I mean....why?!?!? I finally get what I want with a certain male and really???? I'm telling you now I'm going to need to take the day off when the next book comes out because my heart HAS. TO. KNOW!

Was good!

I really love the originality of this series!
The characters are really interesting, and I love the otherness of the males appearance.
My only critique would be the repetetiveness of some of the dialog. We do hear nearly the same thing again, and again. I tended to skip over parts because of it.
I'm definitely reading the next book though. This one ended on a huge cliffhanger, and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

By now it is clear that every book will be about Selenas feelings with very little of the actual plot. Unless her sex life with her clan and all their feelings are supposed to be THE plot. I really wish there was less talk about nothing and more action, because I like the problems author presents and want to read how the conflicts will be resolved. Also seeing Kaede in action can't hurt the book. So far he is all sass and zero action.

Perfection... with a cliffhanger

Holy sweet mother of Aliens. This author is a fantastic alien author. There is so much detail into each one of her characters.

This book was epic in the story of Selena and her clan. That cliffhanger was no epic. I can not wait for the next book to come out!!!

Another great book by this author. Selena is just great. This continuing story is fantastic. Jade is a great sci fi romance author. I highly suggest read the whole series and just a heads up this ends at cliffhanger but that's all I can tell you because I don't want to ruin your book experience by putting down spoilers.

DNF at 51%. Honestly, I am aware that she has gone through a lot in the past month and a half (something I considere a mistake) but there are things that still make no sense to me.

1. Why was it necessary for Z to impregnate her without her consent or knowledge? How is it possible that we have not seen one scene of him asking her questions about the birth? Is it just assumed Kaede relayed everything (we did see that) and there is that?

2. HOW, and I mean, HOW is it possible that in a book and a half she has not had a single conversation with her kids? Matter of fact, she has not spoken A WORD to 2/3 kids. We have only been shown two scenes in the past two books: one where her daughter spoke to her saying “Ma I beat him” and there’s another scene in this book where her daughter asks for help to beat the mentor. Other than that? Complete radio silence, she’s more focused on her sexual and romantic relationships (not that they aren’t important but come on) than to create any type of meaningful connection with her kids.

3. She’s supposed to be given free-rein to learn everything, and while she thinks A LOT, and there’s a LOT of focus on her thoughts, I have yet to see her venture into who she wants to be besides mother (not really), ruler of the moon (not really either) and lover (I’ll give it a pass).

4. Maybe it’s due to a lack of awareness when reading the books but something’s the scene is not coherent at all. There would be descriptions of her or her mates doing something (ex detangling themselves from her) only for her to mention in the next paragraph the she’s still holding on to them. Poor editorial work imo.

Overall, it’s kinda confusing because she goes from adventurer and very clear about her boundaries and needs to continue thinking about the same situation for the past three books. Without mentioning the way Kaede speaks to her bc he’s not man enough to leave his feeing out of his job nor to ax on them…. If you’re thinking about picking these up, I wouldn’t recommend.

Wow! That ending!

Omg that ending. Talk about a cliff hanger.

I really enjoyed this book. There were some parts I thought were so well written that it exceeded the previous books but I had a few issues with this newest story. Some of the characters seem to make illogical decisions plus some of the male whining is grating. I loved seeing more interactions with the cubs because that was definitely lacking in the second book and I love how Z is stepping up in the 3rd book.

All in all I thought the story was great. I like the storyline. I think there are things that could be addressed to make this a 5 star story but there's definite growth in both the storyline and writing quality.

I liked the story, but expected a little more action from the blurb.
Most of the book was filled with fluff, relationship issues and verbal fights. Selena went on a few dates with her nestmates, Prince Zirene once again was keeping secrets, but in this one she completely overlooked it, Kaede was hot and cold yet again and...that's it really. I guess there was a rather big fight with Odelm and that mysterious male attacked Selena mentally again, so there was something happening, but it felt very slow and fluffy. Only the last few chapters had action that I expected from the blurb, the Sovereign crap came so late into the story that it fell a bit flat, it came in one chapter and was resolved in the next one.
So, yeah, not the best one in the series ;)

🤯😭🤯😭🤯
A unique and very detailed oriented alien story! So much description is hard not to visualize! The story continues with book three! Must read in order to understand! This one focuses on the mates relationships and her Harem. I found myself loving Zirene even more! It also had that witty male-bromance humor that will make you laugh out loud#comparingAlienDic 🤣 Get ready for that last scene is heartbreaking and swoon worthy at the same time 😭💔

Deeply moving

I admire the depth of world building. The premise is a gem. The character development is more inconsistent but it is not bad by any means. It's a bit wordy in places but one gets a deeper perspective on the motivation.
This series is delightfully original in it's personal interactions.

Still didn't like it

Too Long winded for my taste, feelings are explored over pages and conversations are repeated repeatedly with different people. Selena is still too mercurial, full of doubt and timid one min and brash the next. I couldn't care about her and felt sorry for her guys.

Better interaction with the cups than in book 2 which I liked very much.
Still wish it would be more though.
Odelm is getting on my nerves and I can't wait until Selena and Kaede get over themselfes and finaly admit that they love each other. How much longer can you stretch that story? Enough is enough... *eye roll*

eh

The same thing as book two really. Z is still thinking of himself above the others. Selena too actually. It’s always Z and my nestmates. Isn’t he one too? I also wondered why 80% of the males she mated are basically asexual. Why was that a necessary choice? I’m babbling, sorry. It was meh

Project: Adapt - Develop

Selena is trying to get her life as normal as possible but life seems to interfere all the time. She just wants to live, love her mates and children but one of her mates father has summoned them for a visit. Can they survive the summons or will something happen? Highly recommend this book and series. I enjoy the diversity of all.
