I loved this book. I enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries but this series is so unusual and original in the story line that it is up there as one of my favourites and book two doesn't disappoint. I love the idea of the curse, as a plot line for the character not to curse anyone. The main character has to preform a spontaneous good deed everyday or slowly turn to stone, this is a long running thread throughout the series as is the witch who cursed her, the book does work well as a standalone but I thi ...more

I enjoy this paranormal cozy. It’s made up primarily of paranormal creatures and a few humans living in a small, secluded town. They have a Spooky Game Club which several of the residents usually enjoy, although lately the games are taking a sinister twist. This time a former resident wants to return home to open an escape room. His partner in the escape room is an outsider who wants to cut corners by having, the resident witch, Dahlia Poplar, conjure the changes needed to a former bowling alley ...more

Enchantments and Escape Rooms by Amy McNulty

This 2nd title in the Spooky Games Club was great!  It had everything I loved about the first book with the unique fiction town of Luna Lane and the many paranormal characters.  Normally a story will be about a witch, ghost, etc but in this town you will find the friendships made up of a witch, ghost, a family of werewolves, a couple of vampires, a mummy and of course a few humans as well.  Dahlia has been cursed since birth and all her friends help he

This is the second book in this great new series. This mystery is completely entertaining and better than the first book. The characters are developing nicely and it's just a different kind of cozy. I'm enjoying the magic and the fact that that this book and series are a little darker than normal cozies! I can't wait for book 3. I received an ARC of this book from the author and I'm voluntarily providing an honest review. ...more

This is the second book in a great series. I was fortunate to get an ARC copy. I can honestly say that it was a true pleasure to read this book. Luna Lane is a place I would like to visit. Escape rooms are a fun concept and adding in some enchantments, what could possibly go wrong? Fun characters, intriguing and twisty plot, an overall fun read. Can’t wait for book 3.

Another fun visit with the Luna Lane crew. This book had some heartfelt moments in it and draws you even future into the characters back stories. I really enjoyed this installment and can’t wait to get back to Luna Lane in the next book in the series.

After the disaster of the previous month, all Dahlia Poplar wants is for her serene, supernatural town to return to normal. But, when a childhood friend returns to Luna Lane to open an escape room, she quickly realizes that her peaceful life isn’t going to be returning any time soon. To help her friend, Dahlia decides to use her magical powers to quickly get the escape room up and running. Her enchantments quickly get everything set up but before the Spooky Games Club even has time to test thing ...more

I was granted complimentary audio ARC access by author Amy McNulty via Audible promo code in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much to Amy and her team! My thoughts are my own and my review is honest.

Peace seems to have fallen on this quaint little town of monsters and ghouls since the cursed boardgame mystery was solved, but life never stays easy in this place! An outsider is here to build an escape room that will draw tourists, and no sooner are the renovations complete when things

Cursed witch Dahlia Poplar and her Spooky Games Club friends have another murder to solve. Dahlia's childhood friend Zashil has returned to Luna Lane. Zashil is there to open an Escape Room. He and his investor Fred Beauchamp want Dahlia to use her magic to convert the old bowling alley in Luna Lane into their escape room business. Things go wonky when the escape room is tested. Return to Luna Lane as Dahlia is recruited to use her magic to make an escape room for the town. During the initial game, there is an accident which leads to Dahlia and her friends to begin their own investigation into what happened. I enjoy reading about the dynamics of the group and the growing details of their back stories and lives. I am becoming more intrigued about some and hope to learn more as I continue to read. The descriptions of Luna Lane are so vivid that I could envision walking do ...more

Dahlia is convinced to convert the old bowling alley into an escape room in one day. Unfortunately, the promoter is killed leaving an escape room and another person has serious leg injuries. Will Dahlia be able to prove she didn’t cause this on purpose and find out who actually caused the defects in the design?

The second installment of the Luna Lane adventures is even better than the first. The character development is wonderful. A totally unexpected villain, new characters and fast pacing is making this a new favorite series. I am hopeful that this series continues for a long while.

I was on the edge of my seat for this one. And wow on the surprising twists at the end. I love how the people in the town all come together to support each other. Great characters, great mystery, great town. Already have the next adventure on hand.
