Meghan Quinn never fails at making me laugh while reading. I laughed so hard in this book, but it also had the perfect amount of emotion. I loved the concept and I had a blast reading it.

Luna and Alec are both contestants in 'The Wedding Game' working to help with their brothers their dream wedding and a penthouse in NYC. Luna is excited. She had to convince her brother Cohen, and his fiancée Declan to do the show. For Alec, it's different. Alec's brother Thad has to beg him to join

I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by its cover but I do it anyways and this one looks like it was designed by someone without an artistic bone in their body, while using a graphics program from the 90's. BUT I saw a couple of good reviews and I'd read too many sad books in a row so I wanted a light, happy change and I'm glad I went with this one.

It was fun and playful.
The characters were kinda immature but still witty. It's all quite PG-13 until the sexytime started. Suddenly it was MATU

“The Wedding Game” is EVERYTHING a ROM-COM Should be and MORE!

Fun, Flirty, and Sexy!

It was a little steamy if you want to know the truth (yes, this girl was blushing a few times, but aside from that, I loved everything about it!).

Luna loves her brother Cohen and his fiance Declan desperately and she has always wanted to give them the world. After seeing an advertisement on tv for “The Wedding Game” she has the chance to do just

I bounced hard on this one. Luna was hard enough to get past. I mean, DIY makes me tired so it's not going to be an appeal anyway. But Luna adds a whole layer of Manic Pixie Dream Girl to the mess and that put me off even further. I wanted someone to pull her aside and ask her, very kindly, to give it a rest, already. So when she completely ignores the warnings of her BFF that her brother already said no and he's not going to like it and she's all going behind his back while weaving a fantasy of ...more

A fun and cute enemies to friends to lovers story, which made me laugh!

The Wedding Game was like 'The Great British Bake off' but for DIY, crafty weddings! I love a bit of GBO, and this book was just what I needed to read alongside a darker book!

Luna, a crafting queen, convinces her brother and his fiancé Declan to compete on the TV show 'The Wedding Game.' Meanwhile Alec, a cynical divorce lawyer is reluctantly roped in to help support his brother Thad, and his fiancé Naomi win the title. As so

Fun and sexy

Light, funny, and a little bit charming, this is quintessential Quinn with a touch of something new. It's tamer and more of a heartwarming comedy than her usual, leaning into the funny in the first half before shifting into a sweet - yet still very sexy - romance. Though it got off to a bit of a slow start for me (just because I wanted it to be more romance-focused), it transitioned into a very solid, subtle read. The humor is still prevalent throughout, but these strangers-turned-ri

I love everything MQ writes, and this book was so inherently her, yet so DIFFERENT at the same time. It was just flat out hilarious!!

So the premise is that Luna and Alec, along with their respective family members, will participate on the game show "The Wedding Game" in order for their siblings to win the wedding of their dreams. For Luna this is a chance to help give her brother and his adorable fiance the wedding they have always but thought they could never afford (or legally have) and for A

Ugh, just no...

Wasted another First Reads pick on this one. Not romantic or comedic. 188 f-bombs, multiple uses of cursing in the Lord's Name and it deteriorates from there.

The writing is technically decent, so I can't bring myself to completely pan it, but I didn't find the characters particularly likeable or appealing.

The "romantic" couple spends time explicitly discussing their sexual preferences & personal anecdotes, including comparing "sexebitionist" exploits. The heroine shares about the
Craft extraordinaire Luna signs her brother and his fiancé up for The Wedding Game reality show to win them not only a wedding, but the chance at a Manhattan apartment. Luna knows she’ll kick butt since crafting is her specialty. She will win, no ifs, ands or buts.

Alec’s younger brother and his pregnancy fiancée have to practically beg him to take part in The Wedding Game with them. Alec is a divorce attorney and is the furthest thing from a romantic. But Alec wants to be closer to his younger

Not what I expected

I really wanted to like this book. The summary drew me in, and I was set to enjoy a humorous romance.

The prologue should have given me a clue that one of the main characters was awful. Truly, completely awful. Not one to be deterred, I kept reading. Then the language slapped me in the face. I'm not a prude, and I certainly do my share of cussing; my problem was that it wasn't necessary for this story. A few words here and there, maybe, but this was way overdone. The story was

I still enjoyed this, but it had a different vibe than I’m used to from Meghan Quinn.

Set during a televised competition, opposing teams are challenged each round to ultimately create a dream wedding. With her bedazzled fashion and skill in crafting, I adored Luna and her competitive edge. The initial banter and feud shared with Alec—a divorce attorney convinced by his brother to compete—was feisty and hilarious! I was immediately sold.

Unfortunately I lost a bit of interest after the halfway poin

It really took me awhile to finish this book and to be honest I skimmed the end because this book was so boring. It easily could be 100 pages short because nothing really happened.
The plot seemed interesting enough, a reality show about weddings where the winner gets a penthouse plus the wedding. And an eniemies to lovers as well which is my fave btw.. but it all fell flat. I expected a little more angst with more push and pull between the MCs. I didn't feel their chemistry at all, the sparks w

Genre Romantic Comedy

Meghan Quinn has crafted another HILARIOUS romantic comedy with THE WEDDING GAME! You guys!!!! I loved this book so much! It’s hilarious, lighthearted, and so unique! Competing for a fabulous penthouse in NYC would be a dream to anyone and Meghan really does a wonderful job when it comes to brining these dreams a reality for her characters! This has been one of the best enemies to lovers books I have read in such a long time. This had everything I love about a book. Humor that had me rolling on the floor, witty banter, tender moments, and a bit of angst.

I absolutely ate this story up of Luna and Alex! And the secondary characters made it so much sweeter. Definitely a gem and going on my favorites of 2021!
I want to give this 5 starts, that's how much I enjoyed it. But by god, the hero's (divorce attorney Alec) brother (Thad) worked my last nerve. Just waaay too over the top for me! (Reminds me of the catcher in MQ's college baseball series whose name escapes me now...ah! Jason Orson-- but Thad was more annoying than Jason)

I loved the originality of this story. What an idea for a reality show! I'd watch it! I loved the humor in it. I loved the characters of Luna and Alec. Maybe I loved Alec a bit

This book was entertaining but nothing memorable, it had quite a few funny moments but it fell flat.

It is a wedding competition where the MCs are in oposing teams.
I thought there were going to be pranks or a little bit of sabotaging the challenges.
But it was the opposite.
The h bonded with the H by helping his team try to win the challenges; maybe it’s because I am a competitive person, but that didn’t sit right with me 🥴

And also I was expecting lots of cutesy and adorable interactions, since t

Meghan Quinn never ceases to amaze me but The Wedding Game brought it to a completely different level.

Although this story is told from the POV of Luna and Alec as they meet and fall in love throughout the story what this is really about is love, love between siblings, friends, parents, and significant others, all forms and depths of love given and love that’s shown to us.

Meghan Quinn is the Queen of quirky characters. The Wedding Game has an array of quirky characters and I LOVED them the way sh

The Wedding Game was another extremely hilarious romantic comedy written by the Queen of RomComs herself – Meghan Quinn. I lost count of the number of times I found myself in a fit of belly-aching laughter. This was THE ultimate romcom....adorable, quirky and smart characters. Incredibly sweet and hot chemistry. Superbly written hilarious scenes those are etched in my memory forever.

Luna and Alec definitely had a slow burn romance but I lived for the exquisite torture these two brought! They had

I didn't really like the main characters at first, but they grew on me over the course of the book. There were some genuinely funny moments that made me laugh pretty hard. I found the big conflict near the end to be stupid, it made me dislike all the characters save Alec. The setting with the reality show was fun and provided much of the humor.

This was a decent read. I'm a big Meghan Quinn fan, so I knew what to expect in terms of graphic sex, vulgarity, crude humor, etc. Honestly, that rarely bothers me and if you've read her before you'll know what to expect. A lot of people have been complaining about that in their reviews, so I just wanted to give that a quick mention.

So the good stuff...
The concept was fun and unique. The reality TV show concept isn't new to this genre, but I haven't seen one that centers around planning a weddi

This turned out to be a cute slapstick read with hilarious personalities juggling a crafty wedding competition as well as some damaged, personal relationships. I loved the family dynamics playing out and how they in turn affected Luna and Alec’s personal relationship. Alec’s brother, Thad was an emotional, but lovable diva and Luna’s brother, Cohen and his fiancé, Declan were rock steady and supportive peas in a pod. Luna’s bestie, words can describe the force that is Farrah, lol, bu ...more

For anyone who follows my reviews, y'all know Meghan is another author where I will read anything she writes. They may not always be 5 star reads for me, but I love her writing style and won't not ever read one of her books.

Meghan is also a go-to for me when it comes to rom-coms so grabbing The Wedding Game was an obvious choice. And she did not let me down.

I love the concept behind this story. The Wedding game is actually a show on a DIY network that our characters, Luna and Alec find themselve

This is a book centered around a DIY wedding reality show, a crafting queen on the rise & a jaded divorce lawyer. Lights, camera, drama!

‘The Wedding Game’ by Meghan Quinn was fun, plain and simple. I knew going in it would have Quinn’s unique humor and it had that in spades. Our heroine Luna is likable from the get go. She’s sweet, caring and amazing with a needle and thread. Our her

Meghan Quinn does it again. I just love her story telling and style. This book was funny, at times quirky, and had me in my feels! I loved the family dynamics in this book, and the contest with its cast of characters was so entertaining! Wondering if Luna’s roommate Farrah will get a book? The Wedding Game is a Montlake release from Meghan Quinn and therefore a little lighter in terms of premise compared to Meghan's indie published books. I loved the idea of The Wedding Game, set around a craft TV show where contestants have to create and get crafty for a family members wedding, it sure brings in some hilarious scenes.

In terms of the romance the Hero is Alec a divorce lawyer and brother to another contestant that is getting married to his pregnant fiancé. He is trying desperately

Luna and Alec are complete opposites. Luna loves crafting, she loves love, she loves her brother and wants him to have the best wedding possible, and she is just happy overall.
