I enjoyed the exercises in the book. I kind of lost interest in the overall story though.

One of the best books I have ever read. I have reread it several times.

Brooke Medicine Eagle is a spiritual guide and teacher, conducting workshops to help others on the path of spirituality and growth. In Buffalo Woman Comes Singing, she traces the steps she took to connect with her spiritual core. She describes her life on the farm, her family, her upbringing, and her encounters with individuals in the physical and spiritual realm, all of whom contributed to her progress on the spiritual path. Scattered throughout are personal anecdotes about the people and event ...more

I did like this book, but I do not feel that in some ways that it was what it claimed to be. It was a great book for anyone on a spiritual path, and gave some great exercises to clear your energy and help you connect to the Earth.

This is a disgusting appropriation of North American Aboriginal culture. Brooke 'Medicine Eagle' has been criticized by the American Indian Movement for expropriating traditional spiritual practices of First Nations people. She is not of Aboriginal descent, but falsely insists that she is of Native American ancestry. This book, and the entirety of Brooke's person, is an unpardonable, shameful theft.

Recommends it for: All people with a sincere spiritual practice, and people who want to start one.
This book was very special. It got to the core of what any yoga practice should be about....

This book really brings out the same compassion as practices from Tibet and you can feel the oneness.

When the buffalo woman comes singing, listen deeply.

Chalise/Brooke "Medicine Eagle" Edwards has lied about her Native ancestry and has published this book full of non-traditional ceremony & story. This book is not what it advertises itself to be.

I feel that this book had some interesting and worthwhile ideas to ponder, but I felt like I had to wade through a lot of BS to get to the good parts.

From a personal stand point, Brooke is wise and strong and full of humor. This book takes you back to Native American spirituality without shoving it down your throat.

This book first introduced me to Feldenkrais - an odd, beautiful mixture of themes, events, stories, and instruction.
