Same as the first in the series, it wasnt memorable but it was feel good, fluffy, cute and eye-roll worthy.

2.5 stars rounded up because these are such quick reads.
There was no swooning on my part, but it was sweet, relatively drama free and the characters worked well enough together.
There were some grammar and consistency issues that shouldve been picked up in editing, especially since these are just short novella type stories.

The second book in the series definitely did not disappoint. I didnt get to see the reappearance of Simone, but I definitely loved getting to know the rest of the girls in the squad a little bit better. And I really love the continuing theme of love doesnt always go as planned and your crush might not be the right guy.
So this one was a real throwback to high school because they had an assignment where they had to pretend that a doll was a baby for their midterm, and it would cry all the time. Of ...more

Oh. My. God! This was so good! And Christian was so freaking hot and sweet! He was smitten with Avery in 2 seconds flat. It was too cute seeing him fall for her. And her fall for him. I liked Avery a lot, she was sweet but also brave and fierce and fun. Christian was intense, sexy, sweet, protective and had that possessiveness I like in a man. He was a hot alpha male. I feel kind of a creep right now, seeing that I'm really really too old for him, but oh if I were his age, I'd totally fall for

(4.5 stars) - When life hands you your crush... demand a refund?
Novella 2 of the How to Catch a Crush series is pretty entertaining - it also has you thinking it's going one way, but then it surprises you with a bit of a twist.
It's a miscommunication romance, but don't run away - it's not THAT kind of contrived, "why won't they just talk to each other" story that drives us all crazy, but the more understandable kind where there's a lot of family baggage that skews perspectives.

Love this series and these two characters. Avery never lets something get her down so when crush Alex fails to notice her she comes up with a new plan but she never expected that plain to fail on her and end up with a baby and the wrong brother but that might not all be such a back thing well maybe not the baby part. Cristian is Alexs bad boy big brother but there is so much more to him and the fact that he dislike how his brother mistreats Avery is a big win and I absolutely love how he jumps

Cute, fun, and quick read!
This second story in the series is just as adorable as the first, especially Avery is just so sweet, it's impossible not to like her. Christian is an interesting counterpart to her sweetness, and despite his bad-boy image, he's everything but. And Alex, though the seemingly golden boy, was easy to dislike.
That being said, one of my favorite parts (besides Avery) was how the two brothers managed to resolve some of their differences and grow closer in the end.

Love this new series. . Here, Alex, the crush is an egotistical jerk, spoilt by his father. Love is blind, we know. Avery, like most girls, has plans to get her man, though she ends catching the eye of the wrong brother, Cristian who is older with a bad boy reputation and tats. Wow, way to go, girl. So glad the brother existed!!! Throw in a whining health class baby doll and you have one amusing tale.
Fun, clean read. Quick as well as it is a novella.
I was given an ARC copy by the author.

I've yet to read a book by Maggie Dallen that I have not loved, and Im happy to say that Saved by the Crush's Brother (How to Catch a Crush, Book 2) is no exception. How this author manages to so perfectly channel the feeling, Jos, pain, anxieties and total joy, of young love is beyond me - but Cristian & Avery's story is proof, once again, that Maggie Dallen has total mastery over this genre.

How to Catch a Crush Book 2
Avery has a plan to catch her crush, Alex. Being partnered together for an unusual health class project should mean they get plenty of time alone... to take care of their baby!! Avery's friends from the "Lonely Hearts Club" try to be supportive while Alex is only a disappointment. Luckily, his bother Christian steps up.
