This First Facts series on snakes is perfect for elementary age students wanting to learn more about these fascinating animals. Even within their own species snakes vary tremendously; some giving live birth while others lay eggs. Some snakes have a varied diet while others will only eat other snakes. I would recommend reading the entire collection with your child, or classroom, and discussing the ways snakes are similar or different.

I should say that Lola really likes it. This is the best of the cobra books we've read for kids, and we've read them all from the library. Simple text, nice photographs.
