I'm not sure why there is no version of the one minute bible I actually read. I'm going to place my review here and presume the books are similar in layout. They are by the same contributing author, editor and publisher. So If the concerns I address are important to you before purchasing perhaps flip through the book and you will easily be able to tell if indeed these issues are present in the version you are holding.

If this was a review solely for the story, the words, and the biblical text included in this publication then of course this review would be 5 stars. How can our holy bible be anything else?

However, I'm reviewing and critiquing the layout and additional content added by the authors, editors, and publishers. In this instance I'm giving these things only 4 stars. I was not particularly happy with the page layout. I thought the the sometime use of graphics overlaying the text made those instances it was used difficult to read and very distracting to the reader. I also was not crazy about a few of the word choices the author chose to describe biblical theory. I think the devotional exercises were pretty non existent. They seemed to be an afterthought like someone said "hey we should do this!" But the book was already mostly finished.

I still recommend this devotional tool though. Anything that will aid in the understanding of the Holy word is welcome in my book!!
