Excellent book that introduces the field of engineering and how industrial engineering birthed from that.

It is older but still contains the basic concepts every Industrial Engineer should know.

It even has a section on computer science when it was a part of IE that helps the reader to better understand networks than any other text I've read.

Excellent book should be required for all intro IE courses.

I was really liking this book even though it is a textbook, but then I found The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt. And that's pretty much what's up.
