Mac and Hardin fell in love when they were young, they loved each other really much and they easily became a rock for each other because of their disfunctional families. When Hardin went to the North Carolina college, leaving Mac to finish her last semester in high school, their paths diverged and they lost track of each other.
When they finally meet again twelve years later in Colorado it seems like time didn't pass and even if Mac tries to keep some distance their attraction and love are too s

Hearts don’t lie...NO they don’t. The heart wants what the heart wants!!

This was a fantastic read. All the feels and so much more. A second chance romance that will take you through all the emotions.

When you know you know! But when those who think they know better decide to interfere, things go horribly wrong. This is what Mac and Hardin find out the hard way!

This is a story of true love and how it will find it’s way no matter what!

It’s well written with great characters.

Hearts Don't Lie is an emotionally deep story about young love, stolen love and thankfully found love.
Mac is a young girl from the wrong side of the tracks that captures the attention of a handsome man, who is a soccer protégé, from the other side of the tracks. This couple falls madly in love and they have great plans for the future.
This story spoke of love and passion, of deceit and prejudice, but mostly it captured my heart with hope and strength.
Beautiful story!

This book is a hidden gem! I could not put it down. The story made my heart smile. Second chance love stories can be tricky sometimes but this one will make you fall in love over and over again.

McKenna and Hardin were your typical in love high school couple. He was a rich, star athlete and she was from the wrong side of the tracks. His parents and her mom ruined all of it for them.

Hardin turned out to be an international soccer star. Kenna, now after legally changing her name, owned

I was introduced to Sutton Bishop through her Ancient Passages series which features fast-paced, adventure-based stories chock-full of bad guys, mysteries, and a wide selection of new-to-me locales. As much as I love the excitement of an archaeological-themed romantic suspense--and was impressed her constant attention to detail and ability to describe such beautiful settings--I was interested to see what Bishop's writing talent could with a book featuring a more relaxed pace of a small town, sec ...more

"You're a day early," she returned icily without facing him, remaining slouched in the chair, wishing she could disappear completely.

"No. I'm twelve years late," he said softly.

Doesn't that just melt your heart? If so, then prepare to melt even more as author Sutton Bishop tells her story about second chance love between two people who planned forever as teenagers only to be torn apart by time and circumstances. As Hearts Don't Lie opens, McKenna Vesley has moved on with her life because she has

This book made me want to believe that if it’s true love it will always find a way. Mac & Hardin went through so much growing up. Crappy parents on both sides even though they grew up on vastly different sides of the economic line. Just goes to show that you never know what someone’s life is like & you shouldn’t judge just because they have money or not.

I loved watching these two find their love & happiness again. This was a bittersweet second chance romance that is a quick & really enjoyable r

As teenagers Mac and Hardin fell in love and were planning a future together. When he left for college, they both believed that they would be apart for a short period of time until circumstances and outside forces created a separation that would last over a decade.

Hardin’s professional success has exceeded his dreams, but McKenna has never been far from his heart or his thoughts. Mac has also moved forward with her life and she is no longer the girl he used to know. The chemistry and connection

This is the 1st book in a new series and is Hardin and Mac’s story. These Two come from totally different backgrounds, yet they knew from a young age that they were soulmates who were there for each other throughout. When Hardin leaves to attend college, Mac is left behind to finish her last semester, and due to circumstances their lives headed in different directions. Now 12-years later Hardin is an international soccer star, and Mac has her own business, and they reconnect. This is a beautiful ...more

My own personal warning label - Bring tissues. Expect your heart to break more than a few times. Trust Ms. Bishop - she fixes everything.

This book is just absolutely stunningly, beautifully, written.

This is a second chance romance, but it’s also a coming home novel, and the faith in true binding love no matter the odds.

The story kicks off in present day Colorado. We’re introduced to a woman named Kenna, with a chapter heading of “Mac”. It threw me as first as well. All is revealed somewhat sh

This book took me a bit to get into. I was just a little confused by the back and forth through time in the beginning in the book (but I was so glad for it because it was necessary). Once I got used to moving through time in Hardin and Mac’s story I really started to love the two of them so much and my heart broke for both of them.

This is a beautiful second chance romance between two soul mates who lost twelve years because of the selfishness of others and they were not the only ones who lost ou

What a beautiful story! All that heart! So many feelings! I cried but I also rejoiced and loved all the beautiful souls that are portrayed here. What a heartfelt book!

Mac and Hardin were high school sweethearts. He comes from a rich family, she lived in a trailer park. Both were smart, good students. He was a cocky soccer player, burdened with the heavy expectations of his parents. Everyone wanted a piece of him, looking at him as the rich boy, the soccer star; the only one who truly looked at h

❤️❤️❤️ Hearts Don’t Lie is a feel good romance that gave me all the wonderful giddy feelings that a true romance should provide. It made me cry and made my heart sore! My heart pitter pattered within the first paragraphs of the novel. Bishops writes a story about first and last love plus the many hazards that come between. The book delves into the world of Mac and Hardin two teens in love, and not the usual teen lust, but the forever love that we all seek. These two are soulmates, and despite th ...more

Completely captured my heart!

Heart’s Don’t Lie is such an emotional second chance romance. This book completely overwhelmed me the entire time I was reading it….there was not a single page where I didn’t have tears in my eyes. This story of how Mac and Hardin were torn apart by their families just about killed me as such a sweet innocent young love was just ripped apart so needlessly and selfishly. Yet the story of them finding each other again was inspiring and sweet. Two people who never forg

WOW JUST WOW! I'm not any sort of girly girl but I do have one girly trait, fate. Fate getting involved seriously just fills my heart up, so yeah, Hearts Don't Lie was all that and a bag of chips. Mac & Hardin fell in love when they were teenagers, and they were making plans for a future together, but it never happened. However, Hardin never stopped thinking about her, and hell, he actually kept looking for her when they lost touch. FOR 12 YEARS he looked for her, so yeah, he was the best hero t ...more

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Hearts Don't Lie by Sutotn Bishop is book one of her new Pinon Ridge series. This is a second chance romance that surpassed my expectations.

Hardin and Mac are destined to be together from their first meeting. Life happens and they are torn apart. Neither of them have forgotten their one true love. Twelve years later they are thrust back together. And it's a beautiful ride.

I was hesitant because I'm not a reader of YA romance and was afraid t

These two dated in high school, one rich one poor. They had plans though. McKenna wanted out and away from her mother, while Harsin wanted to focus on soccer. That is until one night changed it all for them. Everything was destroyed by both parents. Hardin left for school and Mac disabled. Fast forward 12 years, and Hardin has found her. She does outdoor wilderness hikes and he signs up for a three day hike. He needs closure, except when he sees her, he realizes those feelings are not gone. They ...more

McKenna Vesley, and Hardin Ambrose were the couple that parents tried to keep apart. After twelve years Hardin had finally tracked down Mac who was living in a new town and had changed her name to rid her past. It was time they sort through the stories they were told, and the lies that kept them apart. What Hardin didn’t know was Mac had been living with a secret for the last twelve years. I'm not one to automatically reach for books in third person. I never really saw the appeal of it. Hearts Don't Lie, is the first book that I read in a while that was in third person, and I absolutely loved it. It was sweet and loving and I couldn't get enough of it. I loved Hardin and Mac's relationship and I loved it both in the before and the present. Their relationship pulled at your heart strings and bring in Stowe and to became even better.

What an amazing book! This is definitely one of my top reads this year.

I loved Mac & Hardin's story. High school sweethearts, who were torn apart that didn't see each other for 11 years. Hardin became a world known soccer player, who never stopped looking for Mac. Mac changed her name & started a new life away from the horrible life she was raised in.

When these 2 finally get back together, it doesn't take long for your heart to swell with the love they never lost for each.

Who could not fall in love with Hardin and McKenna and then Stowe. While the beginning of their love story was ruined by outside sources to see them fall back in love was an amazing journey. To have a little town that your so in love with and have found such a tight night group of friends that are like family. To see how it all plays out and them both to finally get their dreams is a beautiful thing.

This book has two tropes that are absolute catnip for me. If I see a book with one of them, I’m gonna read it. But see a book with BOTH? I am completely unable to resist AND there’s a good chance I’m gonna abandon the book I’m in the middle of reading. Hearts Don’t Lie started out strong - really strong - but once a downhill slide started, it never recovered.

McKenna and Hardin were high school sweethearts who were torn apart just as Hardin - a soccer phenom with a promising future ahead of him -

Hearts Don't Lie, because a soulmate is forever.

At least, that is what Hardin is hoping when he finally, finally tracks down his teenage sweetheart, Mac, 12 years after they were torn apart and she vanished without a trace. He may be a soccer superstar in Europe, but Hardin is still in love with his high school girlfriend, and has been searching for her for a decade.

But Mac isn't the same girl he knew back then. She now goes by Kenna, is a single mom, and was forced to reinvent herself after the

I really enjoyed this book! It did take me a bit to find my flow with it. That’s on me and not the author. I tend to struggle with books written in third person. For some reason it takes me longer to connect to a story. With that said I pretty much read this in one sitting. I loved that there was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. It was a sweet second chance romance. This was my first book by Sutton Bishop and it won’t be my last! I would absolutely recommend this book!
