This series from Charlie Adhara is one of my all-time favourites in any genre.

It's clever, it has a fresh look at werewolves and gives them a fascinating culture which fits perfectly into the urban fantasy world she's created. It's firmly rooted in "our reality" as well, so it has an anchoring feel of the familiar and it has Cooper Dayton, a truly complex character whose evolvement from book one through to this installment has been utterly enthralling.

I love Coop. I love how much he's grown as

How quickly had the mere background hum of another person's life become such an essential fixture of the house that its absence felt like a robbery?

In the fifth installment of the Big Bad Wolf series Cooper and Park are in the throes of domestic bliss, something if you had told me was forthcoming at the beginning of this journey I would've said, oh... bless your heart. But they are and I think their soul deep happiness translated into my savoring Cry Wolf, not really my strong suit. The savo

What stage of love was it when another person became a habit?
Ah this book. This delightful delightful book. Where do I begin?

Ah yes, from where the last book left off. Park and Cooper have finally moved in together and are about to get married when BSI agent moonlighting as trouble magnet, Cooper ends up in yet another conspiracy. This time involving Dr. Freeman who was an antagonist in book 3.

She turned herself in to the law enforcement/intelligence organization that deals with were

So, wait, is this not the finale of the series? Because that did not feel like one. And if it is.. how rUDE. I have so many questions. So, yeah, no, it's not over. Nope.

"Is everyone you've ever dated an asshole?"
"Maybe I have a type."

Coming back to the Big Bad Wolf world was such a delight. I was entertained pretty much from page one and this particular mystery was a strange doozy. I had no idea where anything was going until we were all finally looped in. But that was fine because all along the

I'll start by saying if you haven't read the previous books in this series, turn around right now and do so. Cry Wolf will standalone, thanks to the author's expertise at including backstory, but these are character driven books and their development as well as that of the overall story arc is huge - as in do yourself a favor and read the previous books in order. As to Cry Wolf, it's fantastic - witty, emotional, steamy . . . everything I've come to love about this series taken to a higher level ...more

I know I sound like a broken record but I love this series. Often times when reading a series some books tend to blur together, the characters start to do the same thing over and over again with little variations which of course reduces the enjoyment one usually attains when reading a new book.

This series is different, yes, there are still things that happen over and over. Cooper remains grouchy and they solve differ

I want to start off by saying this author is a fantastic writer. It's so enjoyable to read her books.

No spoilers and no details of the book. Just my gushing about it.

In this book/story, we get a good mystery as well as further insight into Cooper and Oliver's relationship. I love how much they love each other and take care of each other.

I was under the impression this might be the final book in this series but now I don't believe that could be possible. So much more needs to be disclosed about

I thoroughly enjoyed the previous 4 books in this series and yet this was somehow so much better.
If you told me the fifth book in this series would be the best (so far) I would be skeptical to say the least.
This was such a beautiful culmination of all that we've been building up to.
Cooper and Park are stronger than ever, and their character growth individually and as couple makes my heart so happy.
This is one of those stories that you can't help but ge

Well, well, I think Cry Wolf , book #5 of Adhara's Big Bad Wolf series is my favorite book so far. Everything seems to fall into place in this one - while still giving 'clues' on further development for the life of Cooper Dayton and Oliver Park. And I DIGGED THAT. I dig that a LOT.

While still anxieting about his upcoming wedding to Park -- because this IS Cooper we're talking about, neurotic porcupine Cooper -- Cooper decides to help Park's ex, Eli, who confesses to Cooper that he i

Cry wolf was one of my most anticipated books of 2021, after inhaling and loving all other four books within one month in 2020.
This might be my new favourite in the series.
Cooper being all snuggly and cuddly and generally more open with his feelings and thoughts.
Park, a grown up man, a super strong werewolf everyone’s afraid of, being all shy and soft and blushing for Cooper.
I love that there isn’t just a lot of character development in this series, but also a lot of relationship development. Th

I love this saga and I love how with each book the universe of wolves expands. Every time I finish a book in this saga I want to know even more.

The relationship between Cooper and Oliver is amazing, full of beautiful, sexy and vulnerable moments. I love how their relationship progresses with each book. And in "Cry Wolf" it's clear how much they have grown individually and as a couple. They both want the best for each other and it's wholesome.

Due to the fact that I rushed through the first books in the Big Bad Wolf series throughout december, I was SO happy that I received an eARC of "Cry Wolf" by Charlie Adhara (out on January the 18th). It's the fifth book in the series, but definitely number one in my own personal ranking and my heart. 😭💜
This was SO good, I don't even know how to write a review about it, because I actually only want to scream and cry and be like jfodkdkkd. That's how great it was. 😭

“You are my favorite part of living,” Cooper whispered. “I’d do anything for you.”

I adore this series ❤︎ I'm not sure if this was the final book in the Big Bad Wolf series, but I'm really hoping it isn't. I want more adventures with Cooper and his wolf!

Did I finish this book, or did it finish ME??? If there isn’t a spin-off series, I will be horribly shocked and upset because this book definitely set us up for one.

There’s a lot happening in this book, so let’s get right to it.

I honestly didn’t know what to expect coming into this book and I did wonder how this book was going to tie the series up. So for me, starting this book was just vibes, no thoughts, you know? I don’t want to spoil anything, so I will keep everything to a minimum with no

I've given this an A at AAR.

Cry Wolf is the fifth instalment of Charlie Adhara’s paranormal/romantic suspense Big Bad Wolf series,  and I started reading it with mixed feelings;  eagerness at the thought of another story featuring Cooper and Park, and sadness at the thought of having to say goodbye to them, because I thought this was to be the final book in the series.  But having finished it, I’m now hopeful that we’re going to be gifted with yet more stories set in this world, because Cry

Just have to find the right words to express why I love this series, maybe not every book the same but I see now all of them were necessary to have that perfect conclusion of their long way to their HEA ... only don't want to jinx it because this can't be the end just can't.
I continue to absolutely adore this series, so so much.

I absolutely love Cooper and Park, they just make me all happy and gooey inside. They are the pair that keeps this story going.

I honestly wonder if we'll ever get Park's maybe a full on book in his POV? Or even just a chapter? I mean this series is written so well that we don't need it to love Park and understand him and fall for him as a character overall, but I still want it so bad. I mean I didn't think about it too much as b

I love Cooper and Oliver, and the evolution of their relationship over the course of the past 5 books is nothing short of marvelous. When Cry Wolf kicks off, Cooper is fretting over his wedding to Oliver. If you recall, at the end of Wolf in Sheep's Clothing he realized that not only is he ready to move into a new place with Oliver (and stop living in the dump they call home), he wants to be married to hi

This series follows the same main characters so I recommend reading it in order. This review may include spoilers for the previous books in the series.

Cry Wolf was such a great read for me and I think I've said this with each new book in this series but this one might be my favorite. What made this one so great was the character development and Cooper and Park pretty much destroyed me in all the best ways. Adhara puts so much character depth

I have my first favorite book of 2021 and the new year hasn’t even started yet! I have had many mixed emotions while reading this series. I have enjoyed every book but I have always felt lukewarm about Park. I can finally say I adore Park! This book blew away every single doubt I had about him. I often wondered if I had been able to read his POV if I would understand him more but in this one book, without his POV, I now understand him completely and he has won me over!

I really love this series and the characters are so rich and complex while still evolving through the books. The series also contains a complex werewolf culture with three different "political" groups of wolves. The differences between the packs, the wolf independence party and the rebels are explored in a lot more detail in this book and I was fascinated.

The plot in this book was clever and while it gave the reader a lot more background on the culture and with some of the characters it also le

I enjoyed every minute of this book. It was one of my better reads of 2020.

I liked this book so much, that I am keeping this review as high level and general as possible, so as not to interfere with the readers’ enjoyment.

It’s book 5 in the series. You can start with this one, but it’s much more enjoyable if you have read the earlier books.

Everything is just as good as in the earlier books. We see more of the MCs being themselves. We see the progress and deepening of the MCs’ relationships, bet
Another exceptional addition to the Big Bad Wolf series! I cheerfully gobbled this up in one sitting, not wanting to put Cooper and Oliver’s latest adventure down for a second.

Charlie Adhara is truly skilled at making me love this established couple more and more with each book, without the manufactured drama that you sometimes see when an author follows one couple over the course of a series. Instead, we continually see Cooper and Park grow individually and as a couple, building their own defi

With that out my chest, the review:

It's been a while since I last read about this lovely characters, so there is always a period where my brain has to remember where the last book ended and what was happening. Once I finished that I got totally invested in the story, as always the criminal part was on point, I had so many theories and the one that I had less suspicion is the one that Charlie went for. Fucking genius!

This is another great installment in the series and I loved everything about it - the romantic relationship, the suspense, the new insights we got into the wolf world.

The book covers Cooper and Park getting for their wedding which any married person will tell is stressful in itself but add a murder investigation and things really hectic. I loved how much they cared for each other and wanted to be their best and to do their best to make their partner happy. It's really relationship goals for me.
