Prince of Shorewick and next in line to the throne, Harry has more than enough on his plate, between his royal duties and overbearing Queen mother. During one fateful summer in Bliss Cay, his life changes forever when he meets the girl of his dreams. Celebrating her graduation on the island, Charlotte Warren is swept off her feet by her knight in shining armor, falling hard and fast for this dashing stranger. When a horrible tragedy comes calling, Harry is forced to pack up and leave Bliss without a moment’s notice for the Kingdom of Shorewick. In the mad dash to get home, Harry realizes too late that he left without saying goodbye. Ten years pass of lost contact, and only now has Charlotte’s heart begun to mend after the heartache Harry inflicted. Now a successful businesswoman and mother to her beautiful son Noah and furry companion Chloe, Charlotte finally takes the jump and decides to return to Bliss Cay for the first time since that fateful summer. Returning to the island is a step towards conquering her past, but instead she finds herself face to face with the man who shattered her heart into a million pieces. The last decade has changed them both. Harry has the responsibility of the monarchy looming over him, yet all he wants is to live his life with the woman he loves…a commoner in the eyes of the monarchy. Will he be able to marry his beloved Charlotte—but more importantly will she say yes?
I write sweet, wholesome romance with witty banter, a touch of suspense, and happy ever afters. My stories take you on an emotional journey with likable characters, and dreamy settings you'll wish you could visit. Readers frequently compare them to Hallmark and Great American Family style movies.
I’m a mother of five wonderful children and nana to nine amazing grandchildren. I love taking long walks with my hubby and dogs, and traveling in our RV whenever possible.
The beach is my happy place. I’m also a big music lover—it fuels my soul and my body seems to move on its own anytime a song comes on that I like (seriously!).
I’m addicted to Great American Family and Hallmark movies, which is indicative in my writing style. My best days include coffee and dark chocolate with my pups curled up beside me while reading or writing.

While Charlotte has no choice but to carry on with her life, Harry’s journey to find his way back to sweet Charlotte has just begun.
This feel-good second chance HEA has ALL the feels and makings of a Hallmark love story!
If you prefer clean romance with an endearing cast and compelling plot be sure to pick up ‘Her Summer Prince’ by Freda Ann.
The author had me hooked from the very first page. The way they meet and how they both have such deep feelings even after so many years. The characters are fantastic and so full of life. Their backstories and dilemmas fill out the story with a little suspense as to what will happen within the monarchy. A little boy is in awe at everything in his life and is a bright ray of sunshine to everyone around him. Brothers have a closer than ever bond and their staff is truly family in a sense. Can not wait to read more from this author.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind.

I usually love romances that feature royalty, but I've had bad luck with them lately because I haven't enjoyed the last several I've picked up. As much as I wish it weren't the case, "Her Summer Prince" is one of the ones on that list. On the positive side, it was a very sweet story, totally clean (a few mentions of kissing only), and had a fluffy Hallmark movie vibe. On the negative side, I found the plot to be incredibly unrealistic and was left with a lot of unanswered questions at the end. I understand that it's sometimes necessary to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy fiction, but this story asked a bit too much of me in that regard.
My biggest problem with the story was the complete lack of relationship development between main characters Charlotte and Prince Harry. This plot was probably as close to the definition of insta-love as I've ever come across; Harry sees Charlotte "strut" down a dock and instantly decides that she's his dream girl. This impression is confirmed for him through about five minutes of inane conversation in which he asks her if Charlotte is a family name, and she reciprocates by asking about his full name, Harold, which they decide is old-fashioned and stuffy.
It didn't help matters that the story was so disjointed and jumped forward in time with no explanation or transition. In the middle of a chapter, literally from one paragraph to the next, it skipped from the day after Charlotte and Harry first met to the end of their trip six weeks later. At that point, they were already "in love" and planning a future together as soon as she finished college, so their entire courtship took place off the page. Without seeing them spend a significant amount of time together, how was I supposed to believe in the strength of their feelings? I didn't even know what they liked about each other! (Sidenote: In six weeks together, they never managed to exchange phone numbers? Really? Why would they leave something so important until the last possible second of their time together?)
There were a lot of other things about the story that bothered me. For example, it made no sense for the crown to pass from Harry's father to his mother upon his father's death. It should have gone directly to Harry, who was of legal age and already a college graduate at the time. This bizarre, archaic form of elective monarchy was apparently contrived as one more barrier to keep Harry and Charlotte apart so that Harry's mother could invoke the law stating that the heir to the throne must have the reigning monarch's permission to marry. As to that, how could Harry and his brother possibly have grown up not knowing about that law? Basically every royal family in the world has such a rule; it's even in the news every time a member of the British royal family gets engaged!
I had a lot of questions about Charlotte and her background, too, but the biggest one related to her ex-husband. Where was he in all of this? Did her son have any kind of relationship with his father (visitation, etc.) since the divorce? If so, wouldn't he object to the possibility of Charlotte moving their son to another country to be with Harry?
Overall, I wanted to like this story so much more than I actually did. Unfortunately, there were just too many things about it that bothered me, and I can't recommend it. However, it may well appeal to fans of sweet/clean romance who are less detail-oriented (read: nitpicky) than me.

This is the first book I've read of Freda Ann's but not the last. If you like sweet, clean romance, summer love, beaches and royalty, this has it all wrapped up into one! It's a feel-good story about the heartache of losing love and getting a second chance to make it work. I loved Charlotte and Harry's story.
I am a huge fan of the corny Hallmark movies - bring on Christmas in July and December! Freda Ann writes the perfect novellas that match the Hallmark feel. Sweet, clean and maybe a little corny but I love it. Sometimes you need to read stories that make your heart sigh. 💜 Her Summer Prince is the 2nd book in the Bliss Cay Series and it starts out with Charlotte and Harry meeting and falling fast for each other. Their summer romance takes me back to summer's with no worries and young romance. Also Kenny Chesney's song Anything but Mine kept playing through my head (and that takes me back to college - que the heart sigh). Their perfect summer abruptly ends causing heartache to both. It then fasts forward 10 years where they meet again. Will they be able to overcome past hurts? Can they reconnect and love win? What about new obstacles that could stand in their way of being together? A MUST summer read! 💙 Oh! Did I mention Harry is a prince? I do love all books with royalty involved!
* The one thing that bothered me was the use of smirk and snicker. To me, these words should be used to express sarcasm, but they aren't not used that way in this book. It interrupted the flow for me personally.
This is the second book in the Bliss Cay series, but it is my first time reading something by this author. It is a sweet and clean romance that captured my attention right from the start. Prince Harry visits Bliss Cay and meets Charlotte and they have an immediate connection. He unfortunately is called away and needs to leave, leaving behind a broken-hearted Charlotte. It's not until 10 years later they meet again. They will have to get past all those years of hurt before they can move forward. A very charming story with endearing characters, it was an enjoyable book to read. I would love to read more books by this author!

I received this book in paperback format from the author, Freda Ann, and it's been on my to read pile for ages. Sorry Freda!
Even though I hadn't read the first book in the Bliss Cay series, it didn't matter, as each book is a standalone story!
And wow, this one gripped me right from the beginning. So many ups and downs, so many times you felt like you were present on the island, watching this love story unfold.
I love Harry, Charlotte and Noah, and actually would love it if Freda wrote a one off book, catching up with them, from the time of the end of this book. I think it would make a fantastic read!
For anyone thinking about reading this, please do. It will shock you how much you will love it!
Prince Harry has been coming to Bliss Cay since coming to America to attend college. This is his last summer before returning home. But this summer is different, he meets Charlotte and They fall madly in love. The night before they are to leave for the summer, Harry's father falls ill and he rushes home before getting any of Charlottes contact information. Now 10 years later both are back on Bliss Cay and can they find their love again, or will Harry's duty and Charlottes past divide them again. This is the second book of Freda Ann's that I have read and absolutely love them both. I plan to read more of the,.
A fairy tale in the making! A prince and his friends summer every year at Bliss Cay off the Florida coast incognito. Prince rescues girl and during the summer they fall in love. His father becomes ill and he hurries home without getting her phone # or she his. Every year for 10 years he goes back to Bliss Cay to find her. Unable to locate her thru her college but he refuses to give up. On the 10th year they find each other. No spoilers! This is a short but fun read! May have to see if there are more!
This story tales of a couple who find instant attraction but are separated by circumstances. 10 years later they reconnect and the rest is the story of love and endurance.
A cute short story set on Biss Cay island. It is the second in a series but a complete stand alone with no characters from the first book.
It is as predictable as a Hallmark movie, but there is nothing wrong with that. The queen added a bit of tension that the story needed.
My only problem was that the prince was named Harry. I couldn’t get the image Prince Harry from the British Royal family out of head (even though the description has him physically different). A unique name for a different prince would have been appreciated.
Amazing book, I loved Charlotte and Harry's chemistry. This is a love every person dreams of and few actually find. I could not put the book down. I was excited, I felt the love, I was sad, I even got a little mad (the Queen was so stubborn) and then I was hopeful. I was so excited to see the end and I want to know what happens next! Will definitely be getting the next book in the series!
Clean Standalone Romance Interconnected Series HEA
Can be read as a standalone. They met and fell in love10 years ago. Plans were made but an unexpected phone call will tear them apart too soon. The path before him isn't what he wants. If only he knew how to find her. Prince in disguise, tradition vs change, duty vs love
This was a fantastic Contemporary Sweet Fiction book in the Bliss Cay series. I'm enjoying this "summer Beach series binge"! The stories are believable and the characters heartwarming. I was able to read a copy of this book via Readera, but it did not in any way affect my review. All opinions are my own.
