Love Is a Battlefield centres around two mothers who, having been best friends since college, decide to set up their children, despite their never having gotten on particularly well as children,

Honestly, I'm not sure what I expected out of this, but overall it just came across very immature. Especially Addison, who seemed to simply waver between being rude and childish to Brogan who seeme

Two mom BFs decided to play matchmaker with their kids. This book featured the machinations and scheming by the ladies. I didn’t enjoy the story but the mother’s emails were cute.

Such a fun story. It's like a reverse Parent Trap, complete with campground hi-jinks! I like that it has both the male and female perspective, as well as getting to see what the mothers are cooking up. The descriptions are great and really bring the story to life. Definitely add it to your TBR for a cozy fall read! ...more

This author is a new-to-me author, although she's not a new author. The cover for this one drew me in. Then the promise of a funny enemies to lovers story, I decided to give it a go.

This one started out pretty good. If I'm being honest, it's a good one. The characters are all fun. The meddling mothers adds a unique layer to the story. It took me a minute to understand the point of having their little conversations in there, but it was fun reading their exchanges.

While, I liked the characters and

This was the true definition of “laugh out loud” funny to me. Addison and Brogan are the picture of “enemies to lovers”, while the mothers were absolutely hilarious in their plotting and meddling. I don’t know whether to be more shocked or impressed that their plan wasn’t a spectacular failure. There’s a lot of moving pieces in this story to get Brogan to see Addison as more than just the little girl he used to tease and to get her past her belief that he was and will always be her nemesis. Thes ...more

Cute, fun, easy/breezy (note, for later, how I incorporated the outdoors into my review!) story about two mothers, and life-long friends, who decide that it is time for their adult children to have a relationship! Of course, they want one that leads to marriage and grandbabies but hey, what could possibly go wrong? [cue snort laughter]

(4.5 stars) - Glamping with the Enemy!

Addison & Brogan have been set up. Their BFF moms have decided to play matchmakers, and the unhappy couple is about to learn that resistance is futile!

Addison is rudely cranky to Brogan, but as we learn more about her history with Brogan & James, it becomes increasingly easier to understand why.

Their relationship development is a little shortchanged by the efforts at comedic development, but it's a fun story that made for an entertaining, lighthearted read.

This was a pretty good read and my first time reading this author. Addison Cooper is a 32 year old who was planning a much needed vacation when her mother ask her to help her friend. Brogan is a New York Times Best Seller Novelist. Their mothers have been friends since college Ruby and Libby. When they come up with this plan to bring their children together it doesn't go how they want it to. Addie and Brogan have history which includes playing pranks on each other. This book isn’t bad or unbearable, I rated it the way I did because I didn’t get the same reading experience it promised in the synopsis.

I thought this book was a romantic comedy, but I found most of it not funny. It’s a bully romance trope, but not in the intense way— just silly pranks during family camping trips when they were younger. I didn’t see an evident romance between Addie and Brogan; at some point they individ

This is a story where two mothers, very good friends since college, connive to make their grown-up adult offspring begin a relationship together that they intend to end up producing marriage and grandchildren. The reader will be amused at their antics – or maybe smack them around a bit.

Addison Cooper (“Addie”) is Libby’s daughter. Her mom connives to get her to drop her awesome vacation plans and come to Oregon to help with a crisis. Brogan Cavanaugh is Ruby’s son. He had teased Addie horribly a

Ruby and Libby, best friends forever, connive plans to get their two wayward kids together. Addie and Brogran only have their childhood past of him picking on her with his brother, to start with. While in beautiful Oregon, they settle in with revenge pranks and miscommunication. Romance starts and heats up while everyone around them seems to be in on the push to get together, as well as more pranks. The characters are fantastic, with great backstories, all the way to the end (uncle). The tension ...more

Libby and Ruby start this delightful story, as only conniving mothers and life-long best friends could! Addison/Addie and Brogan are the unwitting victims of their nefarious plans, and it is hilarious how it all unfolds over a very short time. Ancillary but very believable characters include Brogan's brother James, 'homeless' Billy, neighbors and friends, the various lodge employees, and don't forget that the state of Oregon played a key role. When I was a kid, I loved the old movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's more than a bit dated now, but I have a lot of affection for it. So the title of this series caught my eye right away.
Love is a Battlefield is also a fun title! And the fact that this story takes place in my state is another fun bonus! So needless to say I was predisposed to like this book!
But the flirting and forgiveness, meddling and mischief were just adorable. The setting was fantastic! I would go glamping in those

This book is a humorous Rom-Com involving meddling mothers. The characters, Addie and Brogan, have known each other due to their families' annual camping trips, but Addie was always pranked by Brogan. Hence, Addie was always looking for revenge against him. When these two find themselves in the back woods of Oregan (compliments of their mothers) the sparks begin to fly. This book is a fun read and I recommend it.

I had a really good time with this book. It was nice and simple. Our characters were likable for the most part, although I must admit that Billy was the real star of the show in this book. The more I think about it, the more I wish that some things were done differently, but I still had a great time nonetheless.

I know that this was a romance, and it was definitely there, I just wish there was more. It wasn't until the very end that they actually got together, and it wasn't even a big deal, just

What are two mammas to do when their kids are perfect for each other? Scheme to get them together of course! But Addie Cooper is holding a lifelong grudge against Brogan Cavanaugh for tormenting her with practical jokes on their yearly camping trips as kids. Is it possible that mothers might know best for their children? Libby and Ruby are long time best friends who decide they are going to help out their respective progeny by meddling in their lives to set them up. Addison and Brogan are the 'victims' of their mother's planning to put them in each other's orbits. The humor in this book unfolds like a well done rom-com and it turns out that these mothers know their stuff!

Two matchmaking mothers and the son and daughter victims of their schemes. This was a light, fun, fast-paced comedy read with enemies to lovers splash. She's an interior designer whose Cayman Island vacations have been hijack by her mother, he's a reclusive novelist who planned on a cabin stay but his mother has other plans.

Addison and Brogan have barely spent time in each other’s company. And when they did, things didn’t go well.

First off, after reading the title be warned you'll have the song "Love is a Battlefield" running through your head.

The story is entertaining, has some great laugh out loud moments and has amazing characters. This is one of those stories that you find yourself smiling as you read the story and continue turning the pages. A great romantic comedy that's perfect for a weekend escape from your everyday life.

I enjoyed this story of two meddling mothers trying to pair up their kids together. There are a lot of cute moments with the kids going back and forth between love and hate. While a I enjoyed this story, it really was very lacking in the love and romance department. You barely read about them kissing and the book is left with not much in the way of guaranteed happily ever after. All in all a decent book worth reading, but I just prefer more lovey dovey moments between the couples.

The mothers have gotten together to pair off their kids with grand babies on their mind. Brogan and Addison don’t know what’s going on but their mothers are acting weird and they are concerned about them, ergo they get themselves caught in their web. They haven’t realized yet that they are being manipulated. It was nicely written and entertaining how far these mothers would go to pair off their kids.
