“Some men like a scared little rabbit in the bedroom. That’s fine. You’ve already proven that you can come while you’re being finger-fucked. Show me how much pleasure you get out of a thick cock splitting you in two.”

JESUS CHRIST! THIS MAN HAS NO FUCKING MERCY! *sceams with excitement*

If you've read his brother's series King of Shadows King of Shadows (can be read as a standalone from Richer Than God) and thought Hades was an asshole, multiply Zeus' assholeness level by AT LEAST 10. OMG. MY JAM. MY JAM. MY JAM!!!

This book took captivated me from the beginning and kept me turning the pages with my jaw dropping and my mouth drooling. Amelia has such a way with words and making me fall so hard for her men. The things this man does and says to Brigit had my eyes popping out of my head and my knees squeezing together! I screamed at her several times in messenger. THE SIGN OF A GREAT STORY AND MY NEWEST OBSESSION! ZEUS IS LIFE! I think I found my new top fave alpha asshole book boyfriend!

"I would like to hurt her for a hundred years."
description

Richer Than God is the first book in a dark contemporary trilogy featuring the devilishly delicious and demanding Zeus and his beautiful conquest Brigit. Brigit is a young woman on the run. In hopes of escaping an arranged marriage to her uncle (let that sink in for just one moment), she will do whatever it takes to escape her father and the cage in which he has put her in. She decides to find solace in the prestigious whorehouse Olympus owned by the powerful Zeus. With beautiful women and plenty of rich patrons, she believes she can earn enough money to escape. However, when Zeus sets his eyes on Brigit he doesn’t want to let her go.

description
“That’s your first lesson, sweetheart. Olympus isn’t fair.”
Told in multiple POV, Richer Than God is a deliciously sensuous masterpiece with passion and fire weaved throughout every turn of the page. Although the emotional connection between Zeus and Brigit is still in the development stage, the physical attraction between the two is off the charts. Brigit is very inexperienced and Zeus is so desperate to have her for his own that he is willing to teach her everything she needs to know. With smoking hot passion, jealous women, and a domineering father, Richer Than God is a captivating read with strong characters and a dark and twisted plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read.
“What would be worse? Them, or you?”
Overall, Richer Than God would appeal to romance readers who enjoy a dark and demanding hero and pure and innocent heroine looking for a teacher. Be forewarned, there is a huge cliffy at the end that will leave you desperate for more! This is my first Amelia Wilde read and thanks to Zeus, I am certain there will be many more!

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my god this series...I never saw this coming, honest to god.

When I first heard of it, I thought it wasn't going to be special, just something I'd forget soon.

But I loved the plot, I loved being in Zeus and Brigit's world, and seeing how they dealt with their own simmering tension and fighting back their own pasts.

I loved the steam, the romance, the plot itself, the developed characters because it's been a long time since I have been able to relate to any solid characters such as Zeus and Brigit.

I look forward to seeing their story continue in Sweeter than Sin, coming this month.

I hope you enjoyed this review.

First of all, let me just say that i have too many conflicted emotions about this book.
This was my very first read by Amelia Wilde i had no idea if there were other books related to this one. So basically i dived in blind.

Bridget is a twenty year old girl who ran away from her father because he forced her to marry her uncle. YIKES!! i know i know.

image: description

The only way to escape her father is by selling her body to get enough money to buy a plan ticket to France. So she takes refuge in a Whorehouse run by one of the most powerful men in the city. Zeus God of the sky and thunder.

image: description

I'm kidding hahaha, he's just Zeus. No god no nothing. When he sees her he knows that he needs to have her. And because he's the boss he gets to have first dibs.

When i read the book description, i was really excited about it cause it really looked promising. But once i started reading, i was completely lost. There were a lot of missing information, like what's the deal between him and his brothers?? Why do all of them hate him?? Why do they want to kill him?? We have no answers for all of those questions. Dunno about you guys, but i found it really really absurd that they were all named after Greek Gods, even the father was named Cronus. That was a bit too much for me.

And then there was him, Zeus. I swear he is a bipolar. He wants Bridget and then he wants her not. Like seriously dude make up your mind.

image: description

One time he wants her and he feels all those crazy thing fore her, but the next second he treats her like shit.

"𝑰𝒇 𝒔𝒉𝒆’𝒔 𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑰’𝒎 𝒅𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈."

It really drove me crazy, like what the hell!! And the next thing you know he lets other men have her just to convince himself that those are just fleeting emotions and nothing real.

"𝑺𝒉𝒆’𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒆. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏."

image: description

This book has potentials, it has the perfect bone structure but not enough flesh... if you know what i mean.
Would i read the next book? Yes, just because i'm curious to see how all of this will end.
Was it bad? No, it was not. But it was not that good either.

When i finished reading it i found out that there was a book about his brother Hades God of the Underworld. I t would've been much helpful if it was a series so we could see the previous book.

This was my honest review.

So I'll admit my first attraction to this book was the cover. I even talked about it to a friend of mine and we both agreed, it really was perfect. I knew Amelia Wilde was talented and had a serious following so I decided to jump to the dark side.

Oh, and this side was dark.
The blurb lays it out, and if you have been reading the author, then you might be familiar with some of the characters and past storylines referred to in this tale. I wasn't, so that did cause me to step back a bit and think about things.

However, I must say if you are into antiheroes, cruel, mean, possessive, and confused about feelings for this new woman, then this might be for you.

There is this beginning that is so dark, to me, it sets the tone for what is to come. I mention to me because again, I am not usually a dark reader. After the prologue, the story follows the blurb and we have a woman of 20 who has decided she has no other choice but to join this brothel due to this arranged marriage her father has made with her uncle.

Yup, her uncle.

This place Zeus runs is supposed to be better than anything else and this way our gal can make money and run away to save herself. However, Zeus has decided to keep her for himself.

This is just the beginning of this new trilogy. It has set up ugly fights amongst family members, other women against women, and the law against Zeus.

There is intense "training" for Brigit and the intensity causes Zeus to respond differently for her. He is not used to feeling and fights it all the way.

This was the introduction to the series and it ends with a cliffy. The good news is the next book is out there waiting for you to snatch it up.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK RICHER THAN GOD BY AMELIA WILDE.

GENRE: CONTEMPORARY DARK ROMANCE.
TROPE: TRIGGERS, GREEK MYTH RETELLING.
AUTHOR: AMELIA WILDE.
TYPE: BOOK 1 OF THE SERIES.
POV: DUAL POV...
MY RATING: 5 STARS.

As a lover of Greek mythology, it's really awesome to read our favourite gods in the modern words..and the cherry on top is that...they work as Antiheroes...

Zeus was the good god...the wise one..But the author has given him such a dark twist that maybe...I have changed my fav anti-hero from Hades to Zeus.

Zeus owns a Whore house which he has inherited from his father Cronos. He rules that place with an iron fist. Brigit is on a run from her father and her fiancee...(let's say forced marriage contract.)
But to get out of the city, she needs a place and work to earn money for her getaway ticket.
She hesitantly decided to work in Zeus Whore house...but she never fathom she had to whore herself out to Zeus himself...

every word this author writes is gold to me...She gave Zeus such a twist that made his light aura a dangerous deadly one. Brigit was the character I could easily relate to...As this book ends on the cliffhanger but I have no doubt...She will bring Zeus to his knees....for sure...

Amelia Wilde where have you been all my life?? She came through with this book. It is dark, scary, suspenseful. Did I say wickedly sexy?? Zesus the meanest MF on the planet comes crashing into Brigit a virgin on the run from sick arranged marriage.

The chemistry was so intense. Amelia successfully had me mesmerized. I thought he wanted her, I thought his lust and need for Brigit would make him show mercy and kindness.

I hate to give away endings. But let's just say it ends abruptly with lots of questions and no answers. Plus it has so much betrayal this book will have your head spinning. This was a delicious way to spend my afternoon.

Richer Than God by Amelia Wilde ignited the deepest parts of my soul and left me utterly breathless as I inhaled all the words of this twisted love story or shall I say the beginning of a sure to be amazing trilogy! It's hard to believe that it has taken me this FREAKING long to read a book from this author because I am without a doubt ADDICTED to her beautifully captivating storytelling ability and I am absolutely kicking myself in the ass for not reading her sooner.

Zeus was the ultimate alpha asshole and he had me panting like a dog in heat. Let's just say you may need to keep some ice cubes close by to cool yourself off in-between those insanely intense scenes that will have you soaking your panties (yep...I just went there because it's so true). He made me ache in ways I never anticipated and I was living for those moments the entire time I was lost among the pages. He was a dirty sweet talker that knew how to please a woman, even if he was being an asshole while doing it. He was EVERYTHING that I wanted in an alpha hero and I cannot wait to discover every side of this sexy as sin anti-hero.

Brigit was desperate to escape one bad situation and ended up right in the middle of another one. She is so much stronger than she thinks she is and has a fighter soul. She gave me a major lady boner and I wanted nothing more than for her to find her happily ever after with our dirty talker Zeus. Brigit was the PERFECT balance for him and I adored every moment she was able to bring him out of his shell, even if he was bound and determined to push her far away.

The first book in Amelia Wilde's RICHER THAN SIN trilogy is a MUST READ and I am already eagerly anticipating getting my hands on the next book! Fingers crossed that it won't be too long because I have a desperate need to know what happens next in Zeus and Brigit's twisted journey, especially after that EPIC cliffhanger ending!

So, uummm…..yeah. Totally not expecting this story….AT ALL! But man, was it good!

Richer Than God is a dark, contemporary, romantic suspense that’s one-part twisted eroticism, and one-part emotional romance. Okay, so maybe it leans more toward the twisted aspects than the swoony, heartfelt elements in the story. But regardless, this book is filthy-HOT!

Zeus is the owner of Olympus, an exclusive and opulent whorehouse, and is a rich, self-serving, and controlling alpha male. God love him, he controls not only his business but everyone around him. His arrogance and authority exude from his person like a deliciously naughty aroma that leaves you captivated. Don’t get me wrong, the man is cold-blooded. He let go of all emotion years ago, leaving him a man that is as cruel as he is gorgeous…which makes him a very intimidating and dangerous man. But when he meets Brigit, you begin to wonder if maybe there is still a chance for him, that maybe he isn’t as heartless as he claims to me.

Completely different that any of the girls he has met before, Brigit only sought out Olympus for one reason. One very desperate reason. Having run from her father, Brigit needs a “safe” place to hid out, while earning enough money to build a new life for herself. But upon entering Olympus and meeting Zeus, she begins to realize that she is anything but safe, especially the attraction and chemistry between her and Zeus threatens her heart.

My goodness, this book was excellent! With every page I turned, I thought I knew where the story was headed. But I was proved wrong each and every time. The suspense, the sexy and intense moments, and the emotions the story line exhibits gave me whiplash. I loved the connection between Zeus and Brigit. Being such a young and naïve woman, you would like that Zeus’ darkness would immediately consume her. But what Zeus didn’t expect was for Brigit to welcome his darkness with her own desires, and for her tender spirit and compassion to start bleeding into his cold, vicious soul.

If you love dirty, filthy, and naughty romances, then I highly recommend this book. But I will warn you now: it ends on a cliffhanger. Don’t like those? Then wait for the trilogy to be complete because you do not want to miss this epic romance!

„I’m going to keep her.”

Sometimes you come across a book that with its darkness, depravity and undeniable eroticism makes you devour it in the blink of an eye. Richer Than God is one of those books. My gahhh, I swallowed this story faster than a thirsty person swallows water. Brigit and Zeus’ story sucked me in completely, I wasn’t able to tear myself away from it, and each page made me shocked, stunned and thrilled.

I love that Brigit has taken a great risk to control her own destiny, even though the path she has taken may seem wrong. On the one hand this girl is innocent and not very bold, but on the other she's defiant and a bit rebellious.

Zeus is cruel, depraved and downright merciless. He’s definitely not the hero you swoon over, but he has an undeniable magnetism that makes you totally captivated. This guy will make you want to strangle him with your bare hands in one moment, and in the next second you will want to climb him like a tree.

Their chemistry is palpable, even though they both try their best to deny it. Their banter and power play was exciting and it kept me at the edge of the seat. I can't say that their intimacy was full of passion, however the raw and fervent way they were together made me completely enthralled. Their story is shadowed by enemies and secrets and I cannot wait to see how it’s gonna turn out.

Richer Than God is not for everyone. It pushes limits and question morals, but the darkness it contains is straight up delicious. This book is full of unexpected twists and turns and I loved every second of this insane ride! I can’t wait to see how this story will evolve in Sweeter Than Sin!

OMG, that cliffie!! Delicious dark steamy suspense!!

I didn't want to give into the lure of the golden god of a brother, Zeus. After all, he was a villain, right?

Amelia gives such good anti-hero!

Sure, Zeus rules over a brothel called Olympus. He sells women. He takes what he wants. He enjoys the pain he inflicts. He was his father's golden boy. Even if he was the second choice to Hades.

But...

Maybe he's not as callous or sadistic as he seems. After all, the women have a right to accept or deny. Even when they come to offer themselves but won't cut it as paid companions, he finds a place for them.

Maybe he is conflicted about his siblings. He certainly is conflicted about the newest shiny thing he has acquired.

Brigit.

She fires a spark in him when nothing and no one else can after the fight with Hades.

Brigit makes him jealous. Possessive. Want forever.

But that is not who he is. Even if he finds himself doing things out of character for this gorgeous, sassy innocent.

Brigit has come to Olympus thinking it's the only way she'll be able to escape her father and her pervert uncle. They'll never find her there and she can earn the funds she'll need to vanish. She's sure she can do it. After all, she just has to open her legs, right?

Neither one expects anything more. Oh my, are they both in for a surprise.

Demeter is still a thorn. Zeus has his own drama too. After all, he's hot, powerful, and decadent. And a kinda crazy family.

There are forces at work. Can't wait for the next book!!

I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book was too amazing to put into words. Zeus owns an exclusive Gentlemens brothel. Brigit, is fleeing from an arranged marriage to her Uncle and ends up at the Zeus’s club. I don’t know what could be worse being set up an arranged marriage or ending up at in the hands of a ruthless, cruel, gorgeous mans hands? This book is dark, steamy and really good. There is a cliffhanger so be aware but this book is so good and I love Amelia’s books I don’t care it just makes me look forward to what will come next.

Sweet Holiest of titfires...

This book was hotter than a Las Vegas sidewalk in August. I have been wanting this book since I first finished Hades. I have to say, I love mythology, but this modern twist on Mythology is so much better than the stuff that is taught in school. Had this been what was taught, I would have changed my major. Even knowing that Zeus was a manwhore and not very redeemable in tales of Lore had nothing on Zeus in this book. He is all of that and more.

Getting the opportunity to see a little of what makes him tick, shows that there is something redeemable in him. He does have feelings and it is more than just the feelings of of being supreme. I knew that there had to be so moments in his childhood that sucked, much like it did with Hades, just to a different extent. Even with the small amounts that I did see in this part of the book, I know that there is so much more buried under the surface. I look forward to unpeeling that onion and getting to the innermost layers to find out about him.

That being said, Zeus, made me want to scream and throw my kindle. He is everything I want in an anti-hero and then some. His callous and extremely awful behavior toward the end of this book in regard to Bridgit had me wanting to drop him on his head or shake the ever-loving hell out of him. Bridgit. This girl was no match for Zeus considering her naivete. However, the old Shakespeare quote, "...Though she be but little she is fierce," came to mind. She seemed to make Zeus ponder and distract and for Zeus, that is dangerous. I look forward to finding out more about her in the next book and finding out her backstory.

I also cannot wait to discover more about Demeter. She piqued my interest in the first trilogy and the mere mention of her has me intrigued in this one too. I hope that she gets a story. That being said, I highly recommend this story. It has proven to be well worth the anticipation. Now, I just need to learn that patience is a virtue because I already need the next book.

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

'Richer than god' is a Standalone Romance by the best-selling author Amelia Wilde. This book had a the feels and had literally drooling so bad!!

Zues is my baby, that much is certain! I am in love with him so much! Just read this book once , and my rambling will make sense to you💓.

He also made an appearance in his brother's book , namely 'King of Shadows' (which can also be read as a standalone). Brigit , the main female lead of this book was an intriguing woman. But she has found herself in a delima. If she doesn't sell her body at Zeus's club , then she will be forced in a terrible arranged marriage. But things are not as easy as they seem. Zeus is not ready to let her get to work , not until he tastes her himself.

The things that man does to her had me fanning myself half of the damn time! This book is hot with a capital H and I would recommend it to all the dark gritty lovers out there . Believe me , Zeus won't disappoint you … in anything 😉

Holy Moly!!! This is my first book by this author. It’s safe to say, it won’t be my last, for many reasons! The first being, this ended on a cliffy & I did not know that!! A friend gave it to me to read and I jumped in and WHAM! 2:22 am I’m yelling at my kindle saying “What happens??” But that’s the sign of a bi**hin’ book right there! You’re up that late & you’re yelling at your kindle lol. I’m also a book or two into the series, so I have to backtrack now, but definitely worth it. Zeus is a dark, cruel beauty, owner of a whorehouse called Olympus (I am huge fan of Greek mythology, so loved the names!). He takes an interest in Brigit, a new girl who shows up, young, innocent, beautiful and he can’t quite figure out why. Their times together are hot 🔥, though confusing for both. And there are side stories going on that adds to the drama. And all I can say is, man, grab this & read it!! I can’t wait to read more from her!!!

Get ready for a new obsession, a new book boyfriend that will have you encounter adrenaline spikes all over your body. It’s an erotic drama filled with romance.

I seriously couldn’t put this book down. From the very beginning, Amelia had me hooked with suspense. Meeting Zeus the alpha hero in this story commanded my attention as his powerful presence entered the pages. His known for his infamous parties and when sweet, naive Bridgit walks into his domaine, she has no idea what she has battered her soul for because Zeus ain’t any normal mortal. His demanding and cruel and reads people so well but Bridgit is no open book. He can’t read her and for the first time this entices Zeus in more ways than his willing to admit.

Get ready to meet two opposites in every way that will leave you feeling hot and bothered and shivering with so much need. What a ride

NO SPOILERS WHEN POSSIBLE
Oh my goodness, what a story, what a family...so mixed up. First it was Hades and Persephone and now we read about Zeus and Brigit. This story doesn’t disappoint either.
My heart goes out to Brigit, escaping one hell for another, or is it!!! I thought Zeus would be different...well he is but in another way. Brigit is so naive, so trusting and I wanted to hug and protect her. Zeus is so powerful, demanding and at times unbearably cruel. Is he grooming her in his refuge!!!
A story to shock, a story to grab your attention and at times you want hope and love to rear it’s beautiful head. A story of betrayal, lust, kindness and so much more. You definitely won’t forget Zeus in a hurry,

This was my second time reading something from Amelia and I don’t know if it was because this time around I didn’t have big expectations but I ended up liking this story a little more than Hades’.

Zeus isn’t an easy character to like and even if I ended up hating him and some of his actions throughout the book, I also ended up liking him more than I was expecting. And I didn’t like him at all in Hades’ books but here you get to know more about Zeus and how he was the golden boy for their stepfather (which wasn’t a good thing) and I really liked to see how he does something because it was what he was always told to do but inside he really shows conflict.
Bridget was also a good surprise and I liked her. It’s also true that sometimes I just wanted to shake her out of it but seeing how she was between two difficult choices, I really enjoyed seeing her fight for what she wanted and never back off.
These two were so different from each other but the way they complement one another was so crazy.

This book was a good surprise for me. I wasn’t expecting liking it that much but I got really curious while reading and wanted to know more and see more of them.
I’ll pick the rest of the series soon and in the future I’ll be reading more of Amelia’s books for sure.

RICHER THAN GOD by Amelia Wilde is the First book in a Trilogy. This starts the story of Zeus and Brigit. If you have read the King of Shadows then you will know some of the harden person Zeus is, which was a result of his up bring by his father. Zeus is a hard to like hero due to that up bringing that has made him unfeeling and dark. Zeus runs the very exclusive brothel called Olympus. This is where money is earned and privilege has its price. This is also where our young innocent naïve Brigit goes when she is so desperate to get away from her father and Uncle. Brigit thinking this would her best option to hide from them along with making quick money. But then she meets Zeus who offers her the training he feels she needs. Zeus has no feelings but there is something about Brigit that makes him pause. Zeus knows that Brigit isn't cut out for this life but he can't seem to turn her away which leads him to offer his training along with maybe selling her at one of his excursive parties. This was such a page turning read. Zeus makes you hate him but somehow you love him and Brigit is turning out to surprise him and me. I can't wait for the next installment in this Trilogy.

I did not expect to like Zeus. But I liked Brigit and was surprised by how much I started to like Zeus. He’s just a total alphahole that you somehow can’t help but fall in love with.

Brigit truly has no idea what she signs up for when she shows up on Zeus’ doorstep. All she wants is the ability to call the shots in her life, instead of her father and uncle calling them for her.

Zeus doesn’t have a clue what’s about to happen when he lets Brigit into his ‘house.’ He is the master of his domain and nobody can get under his skin. Or can they...

Zeus decides to train Brigit to sell her off to the highest bidder at his next big party. He doesn’t expect her to survive his special brand of training. When she does, he begins to realize that maybe there’s more between them. But having more means being vulnerable, and he can’t let that happen. So he does what he’s so good at, he sells Brigit off. But what happens next? ...

Wow! OMG!! OK. My mind has been blown and I am almost at a total loss for words. Zeus and Brigit's trilogy gets off to one hot, twisted, intense and dark start. It's gripping, it is raw, it is enticing and it is consuming. This book had me up reading past my bedtime, scraping my jaw off the floor and in desperately need of an ice cold beverage. Even a full day after I finished my mind still doesn't seem to fully wrap my head around everything that happened and I have no idea where this story is going to lead, when it continues. However, I do know for sure that I'm going to enjoy every minute of this awe-inspiring ride! I am electing to post a candid review.

Zeus is definitely the closed off alpha you want to hate but given his upbringing and his broken ways leaves you swooning. Bridget is trying to escape her dad and uncle and ends up at Zeus's brothel searching for a job. While there were many times I wanted to yell at Zeus for his ways there was something about him that wormed its way into my heart. This book takes you on a hot and steamy ride but what an enjoyable ride it is and then I am left here longing for what is next!

This is a modern view of the Greek myth of Zeus. Its on the dark side so be prepared. It is about a girl, Brigit, who is on the run from her father. She makes it to Zeus' establishment and doesn't really know what to expect. What she gets is definitely not pleasant. I can't wait for next in the series. I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book and I have left my honest review.

Heroine is too stupid to live imo.

Sex scenes are mediocre.

Ends on a cliffhanger.

You're not missing out on anything if you don't read this story.
