I think this is the first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. The suspense wasn't quite as intense as I like and that is the only reason for 4 stars. This book takes us on a very exciting journey that I found very interesting. Most of the characters in this book do not have a relationship with God, they have lived through a lot of difficult experiences that made it impossible to believe that God would care about them. I love the character of Lorenzo. He is very helpful and special. I love his decision and determination to turn his life around.
Jules took a little more getting into. She is a faithful friend once you get past her barriers.
Eli and Skipper are great too. I would love to read more about them.
The book is a wonderful display of forgiveness and second chances. I’ll leave it at that, because I prefer not to leave spoilers.

This was a great story about romantic love and our Savior's love. The perfect love that can forgive and love endless. I love how these 2 who both felt broken and beyond repair, found forgiveness and love in the Savior. Great story.

This story has a lot of intrigue and mystery; but most of all, it tells of God's love and forgiveness. It doesn't matter how badly we are broken, God will forgive us. All we have to do is ask. If you are looking for a Christian romance, this is definitely a book to read.

I loved this book!!! Jules and Lorenzo have both done things they aren't proud of. Jules decides to hide. Lorenzo is trying to live out the faith he now has in Jesus, and that means he's now running. When he stumbles into Jules life, they both realize that the other is someone they don't want to lose. But, how can they stay in each other's lives? If you like a good Christmas story with suspense and romance but yet with a great message, read this book!!! Can Lorenzo and Jules get through very unique and traumatic pasts and lead better lives? God can take any broken person, no matter how broken, and make them whole again. Very well done!

Thank You LORD fir grace and mercy! Despite the wrongs of his past while living the gang life, Lorenzo was able to turn his life around for good. We are often our toughest judge when that’s not our place. Neither is seeking vengeance. Jules helped mend more than his physical wounds. There’s nothing like Gods forgiveness and unconditional love. Broken but not beyond repair. I loved the theme of this book, that we’ve all made mistakes in our past and been hurt by others but that doesn’t keep us from Gods reach. Instead God wants to let us know He loves us and He wants to heal us. Lorenzo and Jules meet in her barn, both full of painful history and he had been shot by his old gang when he refused to come back to them after getting out of prison. She nurses him back to health and as they talk, thy realize that they both have had their emotions ripped apart and more. It takes one to understand one. They slowly start to open and have feelings again. So many twists and surprises come at them but their true friends ground them. Great ending to the story.

This book was about two broken souls who were not beyond repair. Lorenzo and Jules both had pasts they were trying to deal with and overcome so they could be the person that God wanted them to be. It was interesting how they met and how Lorenzo helped Jules find her way back to God and forgiveness. This was a touching story of love and faith. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

A wonderful story that kept my heart pounding a bit as I was watchful of what would happen next. I liked the caregiver role and the banter between our mains. I really enjoyed reading this romance and watching our characters learn to cling to God and put away their pasts.

This book reminds us that no one is beyond God's repair and salvation, that where sin abounds His grace is far more abundant. I enjoyed the story of Lorenzo, a former gang member, and Jules, who was reluctant to trust and believe. Their love story is so beautiful!

I enjoyed reading this well written story. Lorenzo wants to change his life for good since he became a believer of God in prison though the gang he was in has other ideas. Lorenzo ends up on the run from the gang and ends hiding in a barn with bullet holes. He is lucky enough Jules comes out when she does and finds him. How long can they be safe? Totally worth reading.
This was an enjoyable storyline that was engaging and well written. The characters development is so well done I couldn’t put the book down.
