Forget Hallmark, this needs to be a Lifetime movie! What a wild ride of an amazing love story! Gale & Odette forever!

This story just hits all the marks for me:

Interracial romance.

A black princess with natural curls. I love how JJ even touched on how to care for curls in certain situations. Showering, bedtime etc..

Royal drama to the Max! Especially within the family.

This book was so much more than part one! JJ McAvoy can write. “Periodt!” I was totally captivated, and couldn’t turn the pages fas
The crown adjusts for no one, and therefore, she must adjust to the crown.

Shit goes down and I loved every second of it. My favorite part of this story is the couple, Gale and Odette. They truly love each other. And that is so good to see. It feels good. This story had different kind of drama. The first book, The Prince’s Bride Part 1, had drama in the US with Odette’s family. Now we go to Ersovia, and the Royal drama was just as juicy. However, this book was a little darker. Gale (view spoiler)

Part two of the Prince’s Bride is magnificent! I couldn’t wait for this conclusion and J.J. McAvoy exceeded all of my expectations. This part of the duet shows that falling in love was the easiest part and dealing with their own feelings was a piece of cake. Now Gale and Odette face the challenge of their lives, which can make them stronger and bind them together, or break them. Feelings are put to the test, loyalty is undermined, and the scandals are endless. And where the first part of this st ...more

I finished this gem of a book on my birthday and I couldn’t be happier to spend few hours reading this wonderful story. First of all I have to say I loved the first book and this one did not disappoint! Literally there were two scenes I cried my eyes out for! It really had me get into my feelings.

This book started where the first one left off which was a heart stopping cliffhanger! FYI I’m still feeling the whiplash from that ending, anyway this book focused more on the royal aspects of the sto

First off book 1 is the "wooing" book. It is sweet, funny and romantic, all the things that do not necessarily have to happen for me to enjoy a story, but I really enjoyed it .

But this one, this story is so thought provokingly good. I had a reaction, like I hurt for these characters. This story is so relevant, current and important! NO it is not heavy in the sense that it is weighed down by constant drama, but there is drama. The romance between Gale and Odette, is beautiful to watch blossom. Th
I got smart a long time ago and refused to read multi-part romance novels before all the parts were released. The first part of this story didn't give me that sense of something complete while still having a story to tell. It left me hanging abruptly. I figured this one would bring it all home.

It did. Mostly. It was actually a really well crafted story of an American thrust into a role she was not prepared for. It really does a good job of diving into the complexities of the value of love and ho

This book was filled with "sheer and utter insanity, mixed with deafening cheers, tears to fill an ocean, sparkles, lace, butterflies escaping stomachs, sprinkled with mushy love goo everywhere." A perfect quote found in this very story.

I wasn't even 11% in and I was already smiling. This second book to the series gives as much gooey owe feels as it did the first one. Gale and Odette are the couples that pull at the cotton candy strings of your heart. Their interactions are the cutest and mad

I enjoyed the conclusion to the this duet. I like how the author tackled some sensitive issue revolving race. I feel in love with the characters . The only reason it wasn't a 5 star is because of the lack of sex in the book. I wish there was more and a little more detail. I might be spoiled by the previous books I've read ( hehehe) but I definitely still loved this ending. ...more

So so much drama! It was a bit depressing and the attempt on her life just tipped this one over! I'm sorry not much is worth your life, the thought is romantic but the reality is a whole different kettle of fish. I hope the last novel is more balanced and sweet like the first one! ...more

I definitely need this books to become Hallmark movies. If you are a lover of modern day royal romance with interracial relationship, beautiful prose, arranged marriages and family drama, you will love to get lost in Odette and Gale’s love story.

This sequel of The Prince’s Bride was definitely more intense than book 1. Gale and Odette now know they love one another but with royal duties, family drama and the media they need to found out how strong is that love. Will they make it of break it? Sc

This sequel takes you on an emotional journey of love, growth and loss. I missed the interactions between Gale and Odette while I was waiting for this book to be released. They have such an easy dialogue between each other, which is playful and flirtatious. It makes you fall in love with them all over again.

Odette was a boss in the first book and she still is in this sequel but she admits she's stronger at the side of her prince. Odette and Gale both go through some gruelling moments in this boo

The Prince's Bride Part 2 by J.J. McAvoy was exactly my heart needed right now.Swoon and sweetness overload with all the aching feels. A modern fairytale royal romance that took me to a whole new world and I got lost in the pages.

Odette Wyntor, American heiress and musician extraordinaire, needs her life back. And for that she needs to forget the whirlwind dreamy romance she had Prince Galahad of Ersovia. And get out of their secret marriage. But when she reaches Ersovia and finds Gale in sad, de

“‘Odette, because of you, I laugh, I smile, and I dare to dream of a future that is worthy of poets. The reasons that brought us together weren’t the best or the most romantic, but I am glad for them nevertheless, and I swear to you, from now until the day I die, your dreams are my dreams. Your joy is my joy. Your pain is my pain, and I will never betray you. You are now my body, my mind, my soul, and my heart. You are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars,”

Let's get the important part out of the way first: I LOVED THIS BOOK. It had everything I love about royalty -- palace intrigue, the crushing burdens of etiquette and tradition, the jewels and splendor, and the weight of history's eyes upon each action.

Odette was chosen by her prince for a very traditional reason: her money. But as a Black American woman she's not the traditional princess that Ersovia expected.

When the book opens, Odette hasn't heard from the man she married on impulse for six

"You are all asking me to set myself on fire to keep him warm and mad at me for not burning! No!"

I finished the sequel a lot faster, way faster than the first. The main reason for that, and this might sound weird or bad, was the fact there were fewer moments between Gale and Odette, but that quote tho....yasss.

Sure it could feel tedious and like an info dump as Odette was put through the paces, having to take accelerated courses on learning how to be a royal in a foreign country, but I enjoyed

Love Still

There were many things about this book that I loved, one of them being Gale and how steadfast he is in his feelings for Odette. That kind of devotion and surety is what I love about his character. Another is that Odette finally stopped running away from Gale and instead chose to stay by his side. But this book is sad in many cases. I couldn't help but wonder, as Odette is ridiculed for her royal missteps if it was akin to some of what went on behind the scenes with Pr

Enjoyable read

Well whether fiction or not, it was good read. Prince Gale did what was asked of him, which is proposed arranged marriage to the wealthiest woman, who he never met. This is old way of binding families by marrying for money. Adelaar Arthur, Gales brother put them together because they needed money for their country Erasovia.
Love was not the reason for the joining, but it happened, Cinderella Odette met her Prince Charming. Great story with similarities to current world English Royal

I loved book 1 because it made me think of a romantic comedy and it was perfect for a winter cosy read. It was nice falling for Gale and Odette.

I expected book 2 to be in the same mood but I was not disappointed one bit by the turn of events. You would think JJ was a royal biographer for all the precise details she gives. I love that the story is driven by the romance but that it also show the struggle of having to accommodate to new rules to keep on being together.

The tone was also more serio
Part 2 is something, we were in Seattle when the book ends on a heartbreaking cliffhanger, now we are in Ersovia. JJ had created this marvelous royalty story, I went back into this book angry at Gale. He knows how to make us melt. Read and Re-read the chapter seriously I fell hard.

This part was a hundred percent about the royal life, etiquette, bad press. What I loved about the book is how the media made me thought about the British tabloid.

This was cute

Lots of angst, H and M-esque moments and a dash of drama right before the end. This kinda reminded me of a Hallmark movie in the best way. To be clear, I don't like Hallmark movies. They're a little formulaic and contrived with their stories about people that dont look like me- but this was genuinely entertaining but clean. If you're one of those whinos that complain about cussing and sex (who are you people and what world do you live in...Utah?) you'll be right at home. If you're n

The first part of the duet laid the groundwork of this duet and this one gave the couple the ending I wanted for them. There was so much sweet between Odette and Gale, yes there is drama but there are lighter more humorous moments. The storyline reflects current times without it feeling like a lecture or to prove a point. I really liked them as a couple when they were working as a unit and not letting outside forces influence them. I felt like I got to know them a little better in this one and s ...more

Loved! Loved! Loved this book

I was hooked on this storyline from the get go. For book 1 I gave 4* only because I felt odette dragged it on before marrying gale. However, all the characters in the book were great and the story well written. My only small criticism (and why 4*) is that the main crux of the story was odette’s money which rarely featured in book 2 and seemed not to be needed from the amount the monarchy was still spending e.g maple the horse! The other thing was her relationship wit

OMG... again! This was very good

I don’t know what to say exactly except go and get this series. You will not be disappointed.
Slow a little bit but it’s because the developing stages needed to be all addressed in order for us to comprehend and get to the bottom of everything.
The raw emotion displayed is so palpable and so realistic that you felt everything from Odette’s thinking to Gale’s internal battle and what he should do yet what he could do doesn’t match.
