As a black girl, I loved every moment, every twist and turn of this book. Thank you so much for this book. It spoke to my soul, my experiences, my existence, without even knowing me! I sincerely felt seen, felt, and finally understood. Savannah really showed that using your voice is not just important—it’s damn near a necessity. It’s a need as deep as the soul, deeper than just the skin we’re all in.

It’s a Black story, for us, but I’m sure Latinas, Asians, etc will feel this as a minority deeply

This book is so powerful, illuminating, and honest. With an amazing protagonist, the best cast of characters, and wonderful arcs REQUIRED READING FOR THE DISENFRANCHISED FRESHMAN is an absolute must read! Can’t wait to see how far this incredible author and equally incredible book go. I feel so lucky to have gotten to read it.
