It was meant to be a fling...

One hot summer with a major league flirt. The star pitcher with chocolatey brown hair, eyes to match, and a body I drooled over.

I wanted to have fun, make once in a lifetime memories, travel across the country.

I didn't mean to fall in love.

I had dreams to fulfill and goals to achieve.

I had a plan.

But plans have a bad habit of falling apart.

I absolutely adored this baseball rom-com and Lila's neurotic craziness. Kelsey put the fun in baseball in this whirlwind, swoony romance full of laughs. I can't wait for more of this series. There were so many great secondary characters that I want to see get their own books and I want more of Hollis and Lila. ...more

Sexy. Swoony. Sweet. All the words I’d use to describe Hollis Freaking Graham. Holy hell he is hot AF! Definitely my favorite KC hero! I love how sure of himself he is. He’s so not the stereotypical ball player and I LOVED that about him. He was so patient and sweet, sometimes I just wanted to shake Lila for not believing in him as much as he believed in her. I loved their dynamic, their banter and even their back and forth in the beginning! Five freaking stars!

Book 1 in the Boys of Summer series and what a start. Love sports romance. One of my favorite tropes. So of course, I had to pick this up. It was fun reading about the pitcher and the nurse. Loved Hollis and Lila. Their love story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride that will be so worth it when you are finished with the story. Loved it. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

I wanted to take a few days and mull over how to write my review of this book.

The book has an interesting and ever growing plot. The characters have relatable lives; well, except for the Red Sox pitcher that is. I think the best way to walk you through this is to start with what really leapt out at me, and what elements of the story have stuck with me the last few days.

This is the first novel I’ve read by Ms. Cheyenne. I was excited to read this novel, and was pleasantly surprised to have the

Kelsey Cheyenne can take me out to the ball game anytime, any day of the week if it means I get to read more of her Boys of Summer series!

This first book in the hot new series by Kelsey is my favorite Kelsey book so far. Hollis Graham, the swoony, sexy, unstoppable baseball pitcher in his prime struck out some of the best players in the game with his winning arm, and had no problem scoring a home run with all the ladies. When he looks up from the field and she’s a ga

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Fastball Flirt by Kelsey Cheyenne is the first book of the Boys of Summer series. This was the first book I have read by Kelsey Cheyenne. The writing in itself was okay. I wish the author had done a bit more research.

Let me begin with the plotline. This book follows Hollis, a Major League pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and Lila, a nursing student preparing for graduation. They meet a game. A romance ensues.

Personally, I can't say that I found

Lila has a plan for her life: graduate from college and become a nurse. Meeting a gorgeous baseball player was not in her plans. Hollis is charming and sweet, but Lila is not about to allow him to get in the way of her dreams. Will she break his heart right as their relationship is getting serious?

Sigh...Lila frustrated the hell out of me! She really needed a baseball to knock some sense into her. You can have a career AND a relationship. It's called working at the relation

Hollis is a success both on and off the field but when he sees Lila at one of his games he knows that she is a gamechanger. One date leads to him inviting her to spend the summer and neither of their lives will ever be the same.

Lila is driven and serious when it comes to her education but there is something about Hollis that makes her want to take a chance on life and love. It was supposed to be a summer to remember but what happens to both their futures if the summer isn’t enough?

Kelsey Cheyenne writing a baseball rom-com, hold my beer. I couldn't wait to read Fastball Flirt and boy does it deliver.
Hollis Graham is the baseball god with the golden arm. Lila is the girl with a plan. Their insta-attraction, however, causes everyone's plans to be placed in jeopardy. Fastball Flirt is a quick-moving, sizzling sports romance whirlwind filled with laughs, swoon-worthy moments, heartache and redemption.

Fastball Flirt is the first book of Kelsey Cheyenne's that I have read and I was intrigued by the storyline from very early in the book.

The 'normal' formula that I'd expect, as a reader, was missing.

Although insta-love, or as near as possible, is not a new premise, what is new is the ongoing struggle our hero and heroine suffer.

Both Hollis and Lila have their hopes and dreams for the future and despite their new relationship, they still want to fulfil those dreams... But at what expense

Otay so Hollis and Lila have hopes and dreams and they wanna fill them no matter what but at what cost. They are both goal oriented and they want so much more but at what cost to there relationship. There romance is fast moving and so much going on that keeps you on your toes. I do feel like Hollis tried way more than Lila and they kinda bugged me he definitely wasn't your over the Jock. Lila way over thought everything and it kinda made the book lag some for me but I did enjoy the ending. ...more

I did not want to put this book down! This is my new favorite book by Kelsey Cheyenne.

A crazy best friend + adorable meet cute + relatable heroine + sexy ROMANTIC hero = WIN.

I will admit that sports romance is one of my favorite types of romance novels. First, they're fun. Second, the players are always HOT. However, I also love mystery novels because of all of the twists and turns. They keep me on the edge of my seat, flipping the pages like a crazy woman. This book had a good combination of

Who's ready for Hollis Graham? He has quite a fastball as rookie pitcher for the Boston Red Sox! This was my first time reading Kelsey Cheyenne and it was a good read. Lila and Hollis meet at one of Hollis' games and she agrees to go on a date. I loved their flirtation and banter. Lila overthinks everything and her awkward rambling is endearing and Hollis just thinks she's adorable! They have a bit of a whirlwind romance and fall for each other right away. Baseball romance at its best! It sure came in quick with the instant attraction, the quick decisions and fast moves! But what makes a romance a great read, is making it through all the obstacles that you can imagine and still come out with a happy ending!

Lila is one of my favorite characters. The girl who is focused on her studies as she weaves her way through nursing school. . . Which I can say first hand is like riding a bike uphill while it's on fire with square tires and starving coyotes cha

'Boys of Summer' is going to be one hell of a good series — well you wouldn't expect anything with different with Kelsey Cheyenne writing it!

'Fastball Flirt' is a brilliantly told story of two young people trying to work out how to be together when one is just starting out in major league baseball and the other is finishing college before training to be a nurse. This is a story of growing up, of making difficult decisions; of having to become your own person before you can give yourself fully t

This is book one in the Boys of Summer series. This was a really good read. Lila and Hollis’s story will take your emotions on a roller coaster ride. In this book you’ll see the progression of their relationship and the trials they go through. How they both mature and grow as a couple and as individuals. This isn’t your normal instant happy ever after. They really have to struggle with their relationship at times. This story is a dual POV, so you’ll bounce between Lila and Hollis. "This is only my second book by this author and I have to ask myself why I have not read every single one that Kelsey has released.
Sports romance is my go to genre and I try to get my hands on as many as possible. So it was a no brainer selecting this book to read. I have to admit Lila did my head in for the majority of the book. The only saving grace for her is that she knew that she was over thinking just about everything and sometimes tried to reign herself in.

This was my first time reading Kelsey Cheyenne and thought it was a pretty good read. ⚾️ Lila and Hollis have a great cat-mouse flirtation and Lila’s awkward rambling is crazy cute. The first part of their story is a whirlwind romance that they have good chemistry but I wanted more depth.

When we meet Lila she is a girl with a clear vision of her foreseeable future, grad school. While at a baseball game with her bestie, she has an instant attraction with one of the star pitchers, Hollis

Lilah is a nursing student getting ready to graduate, and head to Philadelphia for her Masters in Nursing. Then she meets Hollis, and decides it’s time to have a little summer fun. Hollis is a pitcher for the Boston Redsox, and he feels things for Lilah he has never felt before. These two are so good together, and they do struggle at times. Hollis Graham is that amazing pitcher with the golden arm, and he's not hard on the eyes either. He sees a girl in the stands named Lila, who he asks out, so they start out on a summer journey filled with heat, and not just from the sun. They are complete opposites since she's totally my spirit animal with her neurotic behavior that really had me laughing. Unfortunately they have an expiration date since Lila has her dreams that she's not giving up for anyone. It's so refreshing to see a heroine ...more

In a totally uncharacteristic move, Lila decides to have fun for the last summer before she begins grad school by going on the road with the Red Sox's rookie star pitcher - Hollis Graham. But fun morphs into serious feelings much too soon, and it's not long before Lila's wondering if their relationship is moving way too quickly - like a fastball.

While I found myself wanting to give Lila a stern talking to several times, I loved Hollis. He was the epitome of sweet, caring & sexy all at once. He r

She did not plan for him. Lila attends a baseball game and is smitten by the teams pitcher. Thinking she could flirt her way into some fun was a little naïve considering his reputation on and off the diamond. Lila has a life plan and sticking around town or even following a major league ball player around like some groupie is not on that list.
Hollis has a plan to, and it does not involve settling down with one woman, his arm and the heat it brings on the diamond is his only stable in his life. U

Fastball Flirt is the first novel I have read by Kelsey Cheyenne and I am an instant fan. I am obsessed with baseball so loved when it was the backdrop for this story. However, this is first and foremost a love story, and a wonderful one at that. Hollis and Lila are the quintessential opposites attract story. This book takes you on a journey of big love by young characters. Hollis is a professional pitcher and Lila is finishing her degree and getting ready for grad school. Lila is hesitant to start a relationship with Hollis but decides to take a leap of faith and spend the summer traveling with him. Things get dicey between them when Lila leaves Boston for grad school and Hollis is injured during a game. Ultimately, there is an HEA that is a little swoon worthy.

Lila and Hollis are attracted to each other from the moment they meet and their relationship moves fast with many ups and downs. Things for Lila start as a summer fling when Hollis invites her to travel with him for the rest of the season but Hollis knew he wanted more. It took much patience and time being together for Lila to finally admit she wants more as well.
