The main attraction of this book is the 122 pages of pictures at the end. The front end is just an inventory of their collection.

More detailed descriptions are available in Warman's Antique American Games book.

You probably should still have this in your games reference library

Although primarily a price guide, there is still good information available throughout. There is an interesting section on the history of American Boardgames, as well as a quick overview on game history going back thousands of years.

Included are some great color and black and white photos. It is interesting to see how the artwork and topics, changed from decade to decade, over the course of 100 years. Highlights include: ancient game pieces from 3000 to 100 BC and a large color section of box art from the early 1900's to contemporary times. (The book was published in 2000)

There are over 9500 listings throughout the price guide section, as well as the same listings broken into categories, for searching by subject matter.
