My life is like the love child of a train wreck and a dumpster fire right now. I’ve been canned, my professional reputation is shredded, and now I’m walking dogs to make ends meet.
But I still believe everything will work out. Somehow.
Then a dog at the park attacks my friend’s dog. At first, I’m ready ...more

Now usually the anti-realationship characters are not my favorite. However, Kelly Jamieson wrote this couple in a way that avoided what I don't like about them, mainly not getting to see them together very much. This was the opposite. We got really good couple time with these two ...more

Lilly’s life is a mess. Ever since she got fired for doing the right thing by speak out she hasn’t been able to get another job in the hospitality industry. The only thing that’s gone right so far was getting hired to take care of the cutest dog ever. Unfortunately, his own is a gorgeous hockey player with a chip on his shoulder.

Easton Millar was a professional hockey player for the NHL team the New York Bears. He was recently traded and known for his temper.
Lilly Evans was in between jobs and filling in as a dog walker until she found her next opportunity.
The book began with a harrowing scene with Otis - I still cringe and am near tears when thinking about it - but Easton came to the rescue and the two bonded for life. Otis, th ...more
You see that cover? That cover is #winning exponentially! Want to know why? Because it tells the exact story. I am fully aware that this whole cover OCD I have is a me thing and most people don’t really even care at the level I do, but nothing scores more points with me than a cover that matches a story! Well done!
The thing that stood out the most to me about this story was how easy and light it all was. That’s not only refreshi ...more

Lilly and Easton have an intense first meeting but it's quickly lightened up. Actually the majority of this book is on the lighter side which is refreshing right now. I loved the slow build between Easton and Lilly before things got hot and heavy, and their banter had m ...more
Easton needs a dog sitter; Lilly needs a job…. Perfect combination! Perfect combination in more ways than one.
Easton saves a dog from certain death in an elevator and suddenly becomes his owner. With no knowledge of how to take care of him and a hockey career that has him more than a little busy he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Lilly is out of a job, again, and she’s up to her eyeballs in debt. The way she sees it, her life is pretty much in the toilet. Her d ...more
Must Love Dogs...and Hockey is a decent romance. On the plus side, there's very little hockey bro-ness to it. There are some references to the hero having been a player, but there's no evidence in book. There's a cute scene at the start where the hockey guys discuss contraceptives with oral, which admittedly made it weird when that was ...more
I was intrigued with the premise of this book and couldn’t wait to dive in to Must Love Dogs & Hockey. This was a well written romance which had me invested in the story from the first to the last chapter.
The chemistry between Lilly and Easton sizzles and as the intensity grows you could feel the heat. Neither of them were looking for a relationship and yet that is what happens. I loved Easton, this bad boy is swoon wor ...more

With my beloved Canes out of the Cup finals (sad face) I am having to get all my hockey love from my books.
And hockey and dogs? Let me at it!
Lilly and Easton's story is just cute from word one to the last. An if the hockey hottie isn't enough to keep you keen, then add some adorable pooches, and if you are like me, you will find yourself smiling throughout.
It's been a while since I have read a hockey book by Ms Jamieson, however I knew what I was ...more
The dog park "meet cute" where Lilly and Easton meet is great! Easton's backstory is heartbreaking and tragic, yet makes him the focused and infuriating hockey player he is. Lilly has some craziness in hers as well, but again...they wouldn't have met if it weren't for what she went through. Both characters are admirable and strong and it was perfect the ...more
I love dogs, hockey and this story!
This author’s hockey reads are terrific so a new series had me at the front of the queue. Otis, Lilly, and Easton were the perfect mix of love that we all need more of…
Not sure who rescued who but Otis was the center of Lilly’s and Easton’s relationship. Lilly was funny and positive even as she wrestled with money problems and an overwhelming need to not disappoint those she cared about. Easton was trying to keep his head down, not wanting to lose any more than ...more
