A well-crafted fantasy tale with enjoyable characters and a well fleshed out political background and racial tapestry, The Raven and the Crow kept me interested all the way through. The two brothers, Zedaine and Kildare were a delight to read about, and I loved the message of working against adversity showed through Princess Lydia of Gallanse. I've always loved competent, strong female characters, so Lydia quickly grew to become my favorite character.
As a final note, I've always adored stories

Just finished reading this book and I have to say I was blown away. There were so many enjoyable moments. The characters were fantastic, and well fleshed out. The world was beautifully constructed and gave me a true sense of depth. Descriptions of setting were well done with being over the top. And the dialogue between characters, wow, you talk about realism, Falciani was spot on. Loaded with action, humor and fantastic story telling, this was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I hi ...more

This book is a great read! The author brilliantly placed timely bits of information to the larger plot in every chapter. Every sentence has relevance to the story. Then perfectly angled all the character's perspectives to a single climactic point. Where the reader can clearly see the pieces coming together to unravel everything to the major plot and to a few twists.
My favorite characters are the brothers. The author masterfully showed their connection to each other. The brothers had massive am

This book is a fantasy tale of two brothers struggling to make their place in the world. An amalgamation of betrayal, suspense, thriller, fantasy and dark characters , this fiction is a work worth reading. The author has beautifully personified the characters of the story, each justifying a different shade.

An impressive debut novel. This is a very good story and a world I'd like to see more of, but the real strength of the book lies in the interactions between characters; all the central figures have satisfying personalities and a depth I enjoyed. Their interactions are fun to read and escape the cookie-cutter stereotypes of many fantasy stories, with sharp dialogue and an edge to them; particularly between the brothers at the heart of the story. Falciani has obviously spent time thinking about hi ...more

I grew up in upstate New York and I've been interested in writing since I was in grade school. I published my first novel in April of 2020.
