Wow! The Book of the Wars series finished with a bang - a very literal one. I don't even know what to say about this book because it was such a wild ride from beginning to end. The storyline between the three books continues unbroken, so this book picks up right where book two left off. I also don't know how to review this without giving any spoilers, so perhaps I'll just keep it brief and say . . . wow. Definitely read this series if you enjoy fast paced thrillers in which the fate of the entire world rests on a few select people. The action is never ending, the plot twists just keep coming, and this book is entirely, 100% un-put-down-able. Well done, Kendig! I can't wait to read this author's next book.

Soul Raging....so aptly named! This is book 3 of Ronie Kendig's The Book of the Wars trilogy. And what an ending!
Leif has been searching for the missing months of his life for years. Why can't he remember? And now he has the chance to finally find out what happened, but at what cost? There is a prophecy in the Book of the Wars and Leif is somehow intertwined with this prophecy. Can he abandon his country....his team....Iskra...to figure out what happened those missing months? Why can't he remember? Is he really a part of this prophecy written so many many years ago?
This book lives up to Ronie Kendig's tag line of Rapid Fire Fiction. This book is filled with fast paced action, twists and turns and “I did not see that coming” moments throughout. While Leif is the main character I love that all the characters are so well developed and have carried through the entire series. You can't help but smile at the banter between Cell and Mercy. And Mercy's super hero quips? The best! And I love that we learn more about Mercy and her life in this book.
I would suggest that you read book 1, Storm Rising, and two, King's Falling, before reading this conclusion. The story and characters build throughout the series.

I thought I was ready for this book. I truly did. I blocked off the whole afternoon so I could read it uninterrupted. I psyched myself up and even did a bit of a recap on Kings Falling, because that ending… But there’s only so much preparation you can do for a roller coaster ride. At some point, you just have to get on and hang on. And in this case, the stomach-bottoming sensations begin on page one. But just like a real roller coaster ride, I wanted to go again as soon as it was all over!

All metaphors aside, this was one wild ride. (Okay, almost all metaphors.) I’ve become hugely invested in these characters and felt like I was holding my breath as the events unfolded, wondering whether my trust had been misplaced in some instances or unjustly withheld in others. Not to mention wondering how many of them would live to see the end of the book.

Relationships were forged, tested, strengthened, crippled, resuscitated, lost, and restored (not necessarily in that order). Lives—and souls—hung in the balance. There was the trademark banter and camaraderie, even as tensions stretched to snapping point. And there was a climax that not only left my heart pounding but brought Leif’s personal journey to a powerful and meaningful conclusion. Wowsers doesn’t even begin to cover it.

No, Ronie Kendig’s books are not for the faint-hearted. But they are for those who love high-stakes action, fast-moving plots, and characters who are pushed to the outer limits of their endurance to find out what they’re really made of and what matters most.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Wow! What an ending to an amazing series! This book was definitely worth the wait! I read the whole thing in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down! This was full of action that kept me on the edge of my seat! The last line of this book has stuck with me. I highly recommend this book and this series!

Wow! This series is one roller coaster ride from start to finish! Right when you think you might figure out what is going to happen, something totally different happens-something that you totally did not expect! Like it wasn’t even in the realm of possibilities!

As is usual with Ronie Kendig, this story made my heart race, I laughed, I cried, and during one scene, I literally felt claustrophobic! I basically loved everything about this story - the team banter, the nonstop action, the characters- is it weird to miss fictional characters?- the perfect ending, and Leif and his relationship with Iskra. My out loud thought as I read the last word of this story was, “No! I want more!” I could really just see this series going on and on! Cell really needs his own story! Soul Raging is definitely in my top reads of 2020.

Ronie Kendig is brilliant. I’m seriously sad that this series is over! If you haven’t read any of her stories yet, I urge you to give her a try. You will not regret it!

I'm glad I'm finished because I CAN BREATHE AGAIN. For real. Ronie Kendig lives up to her Rapid-Fire Fiction tagline in this phenomenal conclusion to The Book of the Wars series!

The intensity and nonstop pace of the story, the characters and not knowing what would happen with them, the thrill...all of it kept me reading until I could close the book on my Kindle, take a deep breath, and let my heartbeat get back to normal (maybe).

I can't ever say enough about Kendig's stories--she is truly a gifted and insightful writer--other than DO NOT SKIP PAST HER BOOKS.

My head is SPINNING! I definitely forgot to breathe a few times throughout this book, and I loved every minute of it. Soul Raging immediately pulls you up from the cliff Kings Falling left you dangling from and then dives right over the edge with you along for the ride.

Ronie Kendig is such a master at putting me through the emotional gamut with her nonstop action and suspense. There were tears, I wanted to smack a few characters upside the head a few times, romance was rooted for and my fingernails are noticeably shorter than when the story started. Talk about sticking the landing! Kendig stunned me with the entire Book of the Wars series and I cannot wait to see what she’s cooking up next!

I've been a fan of Ronie Kendig's for a long time. She knows how to bring in intense suspense and weave a story that has intriguing elements. Soul Raging is the last book in the Book of the Wars series and a satisfying conclusion. You get to see all the Reaper crew that were in books 1 and 2. There's a touch of romance, lots of suspense, conclusions to mysterious elements, basically the way you want a series to end. Fans of Ronie Kendig will enjoy it.

Soul Raging was a fabulous conclusion to the Book of the Wars series. This is book three in the series and you definitely must read books one and two in order to know what is going on in this novel.

The author once again brought together heart-pounding action, hints of romance, prophecy, and characters that you just don’t know if you can trust!

These characters, all of them, felt so real and my connection to them grew with each novel. That made it hard to watch as various ones made tough decisions that sometimes didn’t seem to make sense. But, as always, this author pulled all of the threads of the story together and wrapped up the series in a very emotionally satisfying way.

I really enjoyed this series and recommend it to those looking for military action packed with secrets and spies and all things covert!

I read this only because I had already read the other two books.

Since I don't agree with most of the stuff in this book I surprisingly enjoyed it. Kendig really has a way with words.

However, it doesn't really follow my beliefs so I cannot recommend it...

What an epic finale! This book enraged me and stressed me out while characters turned on one another and trust was frayed. But redemption and truth and justice wins out, even if the cost is high. For fans of Captain America and Black Widow!

As always, Kendig has created a masterful plot line that kept me on the edge of my seat. There were times I was sure a beloved character was a traitor and times I thought a traitor might turn out to be a decent sort. In the end, Soul Raging is a satisfying conclusion to The Book of the Wars series.

I recommend Soul Raging to Ronie Kendig fans, and those who enjoy military fiction with a slice of romance. This is the third and final book in the series though so in order to fully grasp the dynamics of plot, characters, and setting, you should read these books in order.

This is the final in a three trilogy book series. I found it fitting end to an action packed set of stories. Along the way, there were a few plot twists and you could never be 100% sure who were the good guys and whom were the bad ones.

I got this free in exchange for an honest review. I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series before reading this one. It is one of those books that you need to read the previous books so that you understand the complex arc of the book. I really enjoyed all of the books, so I don't consider this a hardship at all!

If you enjoy action, romance and mystery - this book has all of that and more. It's definitely worth a read!

Soul Raging picks up right where the story left off: Leif, our hero, has been activated from sleeper status by the Armageddon Coalition. The hero has become the villain…or has he? As the team deals with the apparent betrayal—although they realize he had no choice in the matter—they continue the push to stop ArC and their goal of world domination.

Unfortunately for Soul Raging, it has to build on the shaky plotting of the first two books in the series. While the saga began with a bunch of organizations seeking the fabled Book of the Wars, we’ve seen little of the book itself since the beginning. Instead, the emphasis has shifted toward stopping ArC, who also wants the book for their own purposes. Along the way, the team has dealt with high-tech weaponry that includes controlling the weather, implants that control other humans, and tech-enhanced humans. Kendig has thrown everything at the wall and little of it has stuck.

Now, in book three, she attempts to make sense of it all and draw readers back into the original stated storyline of finding the book. Except, again, the focus is not on the book, but an interpretative painting of the book’s final prophecies. It’s almost as if Kendig decided that she didn’t like her magical artifact enough mid-storyline so she just changed it.

Unsurprisingly, the book’s difficult-to-understand prophecies become crystal clear when it comes to the final predictions, ones which directly point to Lief as the person who fulfills them. Fortuitous. Betrayals and misunderstandings abound. While the first two books were action-heavy and light on exposition, Kendig crams all sorts of exposition into the first half of the book to try to make sense of everything that’s happened and is happening. It’s a complex info-dump that does nothing to eliminate confusion. The plot hurtles to a close and its predetermined happily-ever-after and close curtains.

While the plotting had been tepid throughout the series, Kendig’s dialogue was noticeably different and not as good in this book. Let me give you some examples of real dialogue in the book:

• “Holy son … of a motherless … Caesar’s goat and fudgesicles … on frick frack.” – says the character after almost being killed.
• “Back that crack truck up” – says a character who doesn’t like what the other character is saying. Objectively a hilarious phrase, but doesn’t fit the character at all.
• “The spit was hitting the fan…” – Kendig really want to curse, but Bethany House wasn’t having it. Fine, but edit it out. It was at this point, I actually checked a final copy because I was reading an ARC and thought that maybe these had been removed from the draft. Nope.
• It looked like a twenty-sided die. No way. “TAZ?” – a character jumps from seeing a character with a D20 tattoo to assuming they’re fans of the real-life comedy DnD podcast The Adventure Zone. Rather odd reference to be sure that, again, doesn’t seem to fit the character.
• Mercy’s ooga-chaka baby virus that saved the world was classic, and the team high-fived over that. – I could try to explain this one, but won’t.

I have tried so very hard to like Ronie Kendig’s books. She is a perennial award-winner and always gets high praise in reviews. As someone who had primarily tried her space opera fantasies, I decided to switch over to this genre to give it a try and committed myself to all three books in the series. I just have to conclude that, while these books are for some people—judging by the other reviews, including those on my reviewing team—they just aren’t for me.

The opening was thrilling. The middle was nail biting. The ending was intensely satisfying and well worth the wait for the conclusion of the The Book of The Wars series. I didn’t want it to end, but am always excited to see what Kendig will write next. “Soul Raging” was an intense read from the first sentence to the last and ohhh my, that final sentence made the whole series come to a thrilling conclusion.

“Leif had gone all Jason Bourne on them.”

I won’t lie, this was an emotional read with so many curve balls thrown, my head was spinning! As Leif disappears and Iskra takes off after him with a team not knowing if he’s turned on them or not, it left me not knowing who to trust and what would happen next. There is only so much I can divulge here without giving away the storyline. However, needless to say the rapid-fire fiction of Kendig is full steam ahead in “Soul Raging.”

“Canyon rolled around with a grin. Saito sniggered. “You love ticking him off.”
“One of life’s finer pleasures.” Canyon nodded to Iskra.”

Witty banter keeps this team going and is one of the great pleasure of reading this series. However, there is a whole aspect of distrust that darkened the storyline. Talking about who to trust, the Reaper Team had me going through every emotion in this book. Grief, love, sadness, fear, joy, hate and just pure happiness at the end. I could just feel the team’s emotions and that made the story come to life. Canyon Metcalfe added a whole new intensity to Leif’s character and Reaper, too. Iskra and Mercy were superheroes in my book and as always, I loved Mercy’s sense of humor. Cell drove me nuts, but then he drives the whole team nuts, so that sounds about right. This is not a read for the light-hearted as you never know who to trust and who will stick around until the end. However, the ending was sublime and well worth the ride. I loved it!

“God’s character does not change because we are hurt by a situation that does change.”

Powerful words that are a constant reminder of who God is in an ever-changing world. If you love action packed storylines, you’ll love this series. However, I highly recommend reading the entire series in order or you will probably be lost. It is well worth reading and now you don’t have to wait for the next book!

Genre : Christian Fiction, Action, Military Suspense, Romance
My rating: 4.5 stars!
Language: Clean! (Though there is mention "cursing", and a character thinks about she used the f-word; meaning "friends". A character uses the word, "asinine")
Age Range: 17+
Content: Gun fights, explosions, death; it's all part of the action and military suspense. There is choking, knife wounds, and you get the picture.
Favorite Character: Leif, Baddar, Iskra, and Mercy
Favorite quotes:
"God's character does not change because we are hurt by a situation that does change."
"And he turned a new Leif, if you get my badly placed pun."

Conclusion:
This was an epic ending to the series, "The Book of the Wars". I wasn't sure how it would end, so the author kept me in constant suspense. There are twists and turns that leave you wondering who you can trust and who you can't. Characters who I never would have thought were betrayers - turns out they are.
Leif has some big choices to make. By now you start to understand that Leif has some part to play in the prophecies... but how does it end? Will he make the decisions that will alter the course of his life and in a sense, change the world as well?
Iskra I've really grown to love. Smart as whip, and definitely a kick-butt person, she will stop at nothing to protect and save those who she loves.
The character that surprised me the most was Mercy. There was a lot of character development there with her (and a with a certain Afghanistan man), that I ended up liking her even more. While there were times where I was annoyed with her, in the end, she still landed on my top favorite characters (who couldn't love a marvel loving character?).
Betrayal is at every twist and turn, and suspense is unending. The best quote of the book, which was a killer sentence - is also the last line of the book (an epic last line to an epic last book!). Want to know what it was? Go get your copy of "Soul Raging" today and find out for yourself.

Ronie Kendig’s latest novel Soul Raging will keep your heart pounding from the first page until you turn the last! The story is a intense ride full of action sequences and dramatic emotional revelations. You won’t be able to put it down!

I love the way that Kendig writes stories that are imaginative looks at what might happen if Biblical artifacts are found and their power used today. Even better is that she throws in amazing military heroes to fight the forces of evil and protect life as we know it.

What makes The Book of the Wars series stand out is that while Leif and Iskra are definitely main characters, the series increasingly features other members of the team as it progresses. That means revisiting loved favorites from other series but also that their story, which reached a mini-resolution in the first book, doesn’t end there. Because it spans all three books, Kendig takes you on a much deeper dive into their lives and minds than an author typically does. Rather than simply revisiting them in later books, their story continues, making for a very exciting series.

The absolute best part, though? Elements of this story keep you guessing all the way through. Kendig is a plot-twisting suspense master! Each time I thought I had figured out what she was doing and that I had correctly identified the good guys and the bad guys, she threw out another curveball and I started over. While the reader should expect a certain ending, you never know if you’re going to get that from Kendig – and you’ll never have a clue how you’ll get there. I expect that kind of crazy ride from this author now, and she’s never let me down.

Soul Raging is the perfect conclusion for The Book of the Wars series. It’s hardcore military and prophetic lit with characters you’ll love and enough romance to soften the edges – just a bit. If you haven’t read Storm Rising or Kings Falling, now is the perfect time. Snag all three here and settle down for the perfect late autumn read.

Soul Raging is nail-biting suspense right down to the last page. This is the conclusion of the series, and you’ll want to read Storm Rising and Kings Falling first.

This story picks up from Kings Falling, where Leif Metcalf seems to have turned to the dark side. Soul Raging continues to follow Leif as he struggles to fill in the missing gaps of his past, not to mention that his future is prophesized in the mysterious Book of Wars – and it’s pretty bleak. Leif leaves his team rather than put them in jeopardy.

The best part of this whole series has always been the characters. Readers will get a glimpse into Mercy’s past. Iskra is always a mysterious character and this novel much of her past comes back to haunt her. Canyon Metcalf makes an appearance to help save his brother. Cell always adds his whit to any situation. But the biggest plot twists come from trying to figure out who to trust. It tears the team (and the reader) apart. Could Leif really turn towards evil? Did Dru Illiescu set up Leif this whole time? Loyalties are tested and of course, no Ronie Kendig novel is complete without an epic showdown in the end!
If you started the series, you’ll be in for a thrilling and satisfying conclusion. If you haven’t started the series, you should get book one and be prepared to read all the way through until the very end. You won’t want to put it down.

Overall: 5 stars (I loved it, couldn’t put it down)
Suspense: 5 stars (Non-stop edge-of-your-seat suspense from start to finish)

From the very first line of this book to the last, I found I needed to remind myself to BREATHE!
Wow! Like the two other books in this series, I was captivated and amazed at the intense drama each of these characters went through.
What Ronie Kendig does to her characters is beyond anything I could think up. I don’t know if I’d like to be in one of her books.
However, I do LOVE to read about it and experience all of it from the safety of my own chair and cozy home. Unfortunately, while sitting in my chair I was sometimes gripping the seat and trying not to stop or look away from the book. There were parts in the book where I also wanted to shake a few of the characters up for how they were acting. I loved all the tension, dialogues, emotions, and actions of everyone in this book. They were relatable even though at times they seemed larger than life.
Ronie Kendig knows how to twist and turn the story in such a way you don’t see what’s right in front of you and when you see it, you can’t believe it! Many times I thought I knew who the true bad guys were and then I was proven wrong!
If you want to read a book packed full of intrigue, suspense, action (LOTS OF ACTION!), drama, military struggles, and a bit (well maybe more than a bit)of romance, then this is the book for you!
You might need a day or two to process all that happens in this book.
Believe me, you won't be able to breathe deeply until the end, but it will be worth it.
There were a few nights when I looked up from reading and it wasn’t as early as I thought. Meals were missed or casually thrown together because I just couldn’t put it down!
I highly recommend reading this book and the whole series.
Pick it up it will take you on the adventure of your life.

Oh my.
What a ride.
This book was very bittersweet for me.
I have absolutely loved this series, and I couldn't wait to read the ending.
And yet, there's just something about reaching the end of a lovely series about such amazing characters...I didn't really want to reach the end, you know...
Ronie Kendig did it again.
She's written a spellbinding tale of action, military intrigue, danger, team loyalty, and so much more.
If you haven't read the first two in the series, you will definitely want to go read them before starting this one, because this continues the threads of the other two.
I was a bit worried about Leif when I finished the previous book.
But this book gives a lot more details about what is going on with him.
Ronie's heroes are always very real. In spite of character traits that aren't always desirable, I just loved Iskra, Mercy, and Leif, and the rest of the team.
This tale is top-notch intrigue and lots of danger thrown in.
So many details, characters, events, lots of things going on, it is a racetrack ride from the first page to the very end.

The tie to the Book of Wars, to reach a satisfactory conclusion in this book, showing what all was really going on, this was written in such an exquisite manner.

Fans of suspense, and lots of action, this is one book you won't want to miss!

Soul Raging by Ronie Kendig is the exciting conclusion to the Book of the Wars Series.

Leif Metcalfe has been missing parts of his life. He is angry and he is confused. That is where we left off at the end of book two, Storm Rising. Now he is searching for the answers in Soul Raging. Iska Todorova refuses to believe that Lief has gone over to the other side as he searches for the truth. Reaper continues to hunt for Lief as well so all of the characters we enjoyed from the team are back in this book .

I fell in love with all of these characters and pulled for them from the first book, Kings Falling and continued to pull for them all through Soul Raging. This book is full of action and a lot of twists and turns that the reader doesn't see coming. While Mercy and Cell are secondary characters, I fell in love them a bit more in this book as well. While I have not yet read the Tox series, I understand Canyon Metcalfe was part of that series and we get to see him back in Soul Raging. I know this must be especially fun for the die-hard Kendig fans who have previously met this character. I also think the publisher did a great job with this cover as it shows the angst that Lief experiences in his expression while keeping the cover right in line with the rest of series. This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and totally worth the wait.

Anyone in the audience like ALL. OF. THE. FEELS. in their reads? How about characters with depth, nuance, and complexity? Orrr...a potentially world-ending, apocalyptic level event that only a team of prophesied warriors can stop? Anyone?

Because, y'all. This book *delivers* all of the above, and so much more.

Let me take you back for a sec. I first discovered Ronie Kendig through the Tox Files series and had my socks blown wayyy off. Like, how could one author be this good? And why on EARTH was I so late to the party?

Then I started the Book of the Wars trilogy and realized she could actually top herself. Repeatedly. (Although the Tox Files will never not be my favorite. #toxenforever. I'm just saying.)

And Soul Raging was the incredible conclusion to an epic, heart-rending, pulse-spiking adventure. And now it's over. I may not recover.

Through betrayal, loss, shattering revelations, and a hefty dose of sci-fi magnificence, this book delighted and enthralled me and blew my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed the team dynamics and that ending. THAT ENDING melts me. This book was pure adrenaline and a wild roller coaster of emotions that only Ronie Kendig could deliver.

In case it wasn't totally obvious...I highly recommend this book, this series, and this author.

FIVE STARS for one of the best parts of 2020.

I have been looking forward to this third and last book in this series ever since the second one ended on a cliffhanger. And it was a major cliffhanger....Kendig left her readers wondering if he hero of the series was possibly on the wrong side.

Soul Raging is full of non stop action bouncing back and forth between Germany and the US. I'll admit the author had me wondering who the good guys really were for parts of the book. Leif is a very likable character no matter where the reader thinks his loyalties lie. I admit there were times I wasn't sure what was going on or where the book was going, but it had me pulled in so deep I had to keep reading and hope for the best.

The same characters were back from the first two books, and the interplay between them was interesting and entertaining. Iskra was one I didn't like at first, but she grew on me and became one of my favorite characters in the series.

This was most likely the most suspenseful of the three books in the series, and the one that had the most action. This book is proof that Kendig just keeps getting better with each book and series she writes.

I like happy endings, and Soul Raging had a great ending that left me with that satisfied feeling I have when I finish a great book.

I was provided a copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions in this review are my own.

Well, Ronie Kendig delivers again.

Ronie stealthfully delivers truths like: “God’s character does not change because we are hurt by a situation that does change.” And “His character spoke of a higher road. And in the heat of the moment, in a split second of panic, she had let fear override and assume the worst.” Wow, isn’t it amazing how fear really can cause us to see things wrong, cause us to say things wrong, cause us to hurt others when—in the moment—we think we’re doing what’s best but in reality we aren’t seeing the truth. I love Ronie’s books because she’ll sweep you along in an epic story with fast-paced action scenes and engaging character but she’ll also give you something to chew on. And she gives it to you in the context of a situation—story—and never preaches it to you. That whole idea of show don’t tell. Yeah, Ronie Kendig is a master at that. I have so many more that I could quote but I’ll leave it to you to find your own that resonant with you. Just do me a favor and reply so I can reminisce and grow along with you!

This is a follow up series to the Tox files; I would not recommend this book as a stand alone read—just grab the entire series. It’s not a sit and get cozy book. This is a Jack Ryan, high-intensity read that zips you along and keeps you gripped within the storyline.

Thank you Netgalley and Bethany House for the ARC and the opportunity to leave a no-obligation, honest review of what I think of this read.

My oh my! Ronie Kendig has done it again. I was cursing her name at the end of Kings Falling, and now I am back to singing her praises. This entire series has been nothing but intensity, action, suspense, and intrigue with a few dashes of true love for good measure. Did I mention intensity? WHEW!
Kendig's characters are so vivid in your mind that you love them and yell at them all in the same chapter. They are perfectly flawed yet lovable. I don't know how she does it so well, but she is a master of character development. If you thought that was high praise, we haven't even made it to the plot yet. Every time I finish a Kendig novel (and there is no putting it down... i just read and read until it's done), I feel like I have been holding my breath for hours. Soul Raging was no exception, if the title gives any indication. This story captivates you from the first page and holds you until the very end. OH, and that last line?! Can we talk about that? Kendig could not have ended this series any better. Bravo, Ronie, for another story well written and a job well done.

Oh, what a highly anticipated conclusion to the Book of Wars series! Soul Raging has more than one moment I felt unprepared to experience (but those feelings are just what I expect when I pick up a Ronie Kendig novel now), but it still wrapped up the series perfectly. Addictive, heart-pounding, adventurous, fast-paced, thrilling… I can think of so many adjectives to describe this story that I so easily devoured. I do not want to say much more and risk spoiling the twists and turns, but I will say that I loved it and now recommend it so easily (make sure you read the series in order!).

Ronie Kendig.... need I say more? If this author isn't already sitting right at the top of your 'favourite' pile, then you need to rearrange. She is one of those writers that you pre-order books from because you know that whatever she puts out is going to be epic.

I am a massive fan of her latest two series, the Tox Files and The Book of The Wars, in which fantasy combines with reality which embroils itself into prophesy. She makes you ask if the impossible is possible and to question if the truths of reality are really what they seem? These books hurtle you on a wild adventure that is literally impossible to leap off of. Fair warning: Once you start these books, you won't be sleeping until you finish.

Soul Raging is the final book in The Book of the Wars series. It is a nail biting adventure in which Leif finally uncovers the glaring answers of his past and who he really is. His team is left with some dramatic choices as they need to decide who and what they trust.... and to what extent. The lines between friend and enemy blur as Leif and his team fight to take down an enemy that is much bigger than themselves and one that is, perhaps, even within themselves.

An excellent book to finish up an unforgettable series. Make sure to read the Tox Files before jumping into The Book of the Wars series. Order is important here.
