Some legends are told, but that doesn’t mean they’re true…
After narrowly escaping the Tower of London, Stassi, Charles, Molly, and Gaige travel from 1553 England to 1919 New Orleans. With nothing more than an address to go on, they start their search for Edward and Richard, the two English princes once imprisoned in very same Tower room where the foursome nearly lost their lives. But like all things involving time travel, finding answers isn't that simple. Instead of the princes, Stassi and the gang find the dynamic Elizebeth Werlein. Fearless and progressive, Elizebeth has never shied away from danger or intrigue--not even when it comes in the form of a serial killer or an off-book mission for the syndicates. Elizebeth is eager to help them on their journey for the truth in the Big Easy. The eventual discovery of the lost royals, now young men, only creates more questions and an even bigger mystery. Who jumped Edward and Richard through time? Why those boys? Why wasn't there disruption in the timeline? And what is it about the five-leaf clover that connects Stassi and Charles to the York princes? Set against the backdrop of a city rich with culture, secrets, and purported vampires, DUST INTO GOLD will bring Stassi one step closer to learning the truth about who she really is...
Author of twenty-six books in six series, Sophie Davis is a pseudonym for best friends turned co-authors. The pair met in law school and instantly bonded over their love of great books and bad horror movies. When one longed for the ability to read minds so she wouldn't have to study for the bar exam, they created a dystopian world with superpowers that spans nine books.
While writing in genres of paranormal romance, time travel, urban fantasy, and mystery, their works have been optioned for film and translated for an international audience. You can find them teaching their dogs to enter wormholes in the desert of Southern California.
Book 4 in the Timewaves series sees Stassi and the gang, land in prohibition-era New Orleans as they continue their quest to find the two young Princes. But just as they seem to be getting more questions than answers, a shocking secret is revealed. Can't wait for the next instalment!
In book 4 of the Timewaves series, characters and truths from earlier stories circle back around and intersect in 1920 New Orleans. As Stassi and her friends search for 2 young boys, they discover a town where the mafia, psychics, a future bad guy, and a supposed vampire stand in the way of discovering truth. This story has a lot of action and intrigue!
I do have one complaint with the Kindle version of this book - there were several gross editing errors throughout the book which I found very distracting. Fortunately, the story itself did not suffer. My dilemma now is do I rush into the final book or wait a bit to savor the series a little longer?
Just finished the whole series, but had trouble getting the reviews in the right place. Fantastic generally, but lots and lots of errors...like air for err. I was used multiple times when me was needed, which was wearing. Don't start this unless you have time for the whole thing.
I can't wait for the next book in this series and am so sad it's not already here!! I have fallen in love with these time travelling characters. I would definitely recommend this series!! Sophie's, keep writing great books and thank you for everything you've done so far!!
The books have not been proofread!!!! This one introduces a Mr. Pink and then somehow continues calling him Mr. Smith
Why?????
I am not even counting endless spelling mistakes, duplicate word errors.
Were there 2 Baylarians? 2 Lachlans?
From different time zones okay But the fact that this was never explained till the end of book is frustrating. The story seemed to be plausible to everyone except readers.
The wonderful Sophie Davis has done it again with yet another amazing read in the Timewaves series. I highly recommend staying at the begging and reading all of these fantastic books (and all the other works from this stunning author)
I think I'd read Sophie's shopping list, there doesn't seem to be a genre she can't write that I wouldn't read! I never thought I'd be captured by a time travel series until I started this one. The new characters add to the continued mystery of who Stassi is and the struggles of what that means to her. Another well done job for Sophie and another ending that makes you wish you could pick up the next book now!
What I really appreciated about this book is that the authors did an incredible job going back and referencing things from previous books, especially the first one. It’s so helpful to have a refresher like that when there has been some time between releases.
As always, the dialogue was perfect and the whole relationship of our favorite foursome had me constantly laughing. Gaige is especially hilarious, and I’m so glad that his goofiness hasn’t changed one bit. I honestly just can’t get enough of these characters!
This book starts immediately after the last one, and we get to meet some new characters that are such a lovely addition to the Timewaves universe. I’d love to see some of these characters again! We also get to spend more time with my favorite villain, Baylarian, and OMG it’s so good. I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t add more.
What I loved most was that we get some answers in this one. Yes, we get to learn Charles’ secret!! I was so not expecting that, and it only made me love this series more! Then at the very end, OMG, we get smacked in the face with another revelation, and I can’t wait to get Book 5 because I’m dying to know what happens next!!
Omg. I loved this book! I've been eagerly awaiting this book for what feels like forever but it was totally worth it! I could hardly put it down! You really get pulled into the story from the start. You'll meet some lovable new alchemists and learn a bit more about the syndicate and how it starts.
This book starts right where the last one left off and the gang is in New Orleans searching for answers to Stassi's past. We get some answers to questions from previous books, confirmation on some hunches and also end the book some new questions! I can't wait to see how they tie everything up in the next book.
If you haven't read this time travel series, you really really should!
I received this book for free as an ARC, in exchange for my honest opinion. I love this series, the authors and love this book!! Stassi, Charles, Molly & Gaige were great, I enjoyed the few new characters. I loved the New Orleans vibe and the suspense this storyline had. There was strong work with the details in this book as well as this entire series. I couldn’t put it down, it flowed very well. Several questions were answered and a major revelation occurred too. I really hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next book!!
Another great adventure for Stassi, Charles her boyfriend, Molly and Gaige. They have now jumped to New Orleans in the year 1919. Will they find the princes in this time? What about the locket Stassi has and the matching piece that Charles has? What does this mean? Is there a connection? Is there a vampire walking the streets of New Orleans? And what on earth is the big secret that Charles is keeping? Great story.
The first book I've read in this Timewaves series. How I missed the first 3 I have no idea! But the story was quite easy to pick up, as the authors weave in past references in such a way that the story and references are understandable. Great intrigue and even better characters. I plan to go back and read the first three just because the story is so enjoyable. Plus I need to do something while I wait for the next book in the series to be released!!
It may have been a while but I had no issues picking the story right up from where it left off. There was no needless back story to rehash the first 3 books, the transfer to book 4 is seamless.
