It’s kind & beautiful, soft & hard, forgiving & emotional, but love can also be blind. Love can twist and turn you into someone unrecognizable.
That’s the way it was for Josie and me. She became my everything. I fell heart over mind, allowing her to take the only thing that I could call my own. The life I envisioned for us was blurred by secrets, hard to overcome. She made me question whether what we had was based on truth or a lie.
Joselyn
Dalton was an obstacle in the way of what I’d always shied away from, and the only way to reach my end was through him. So, I made a choice to get close to him, even when I shouldn’t have. We were never meant to be what we became. I didn’t intend for something forced to turn into something real. In the end, Dalton was so much more than just a means to an end. He held the key to everything, including my heart. It was his to have, to hold, to break, and to mend.
That’s the thing about love… It can’t be forced. It just happens, and once it’s in motion, it’s impossible to stop.
Angela K. Parker is an author who believes in HEAs. She writes intense romance with heart, emotion, and steam brought to life by strong heroines and their swoon-worthy heroes.

"Together, we make a beautiful song, one that I never want to forget."
Dalton is a famous rock star, who's accustomed to having a different girl every night. Joselyn has been burnt by love and is more focused on her job now. In one sense, they are completely different when it comes to intimate contact, but one thing they can agree on, neither is looking for a relationship.
I have to say, one thing that bugged me was the insta love. I normally don't mind it, but this just happened way too quick, especially for Josie who was dead set against any dealings with a man. One look was all it took, so I suppose it just validates the 'love at first sight' type of intense feelings that are portrayed throughout the rest of the book.
Now that I got that out of the way, I sped through this book like a pro jet skier out on the water. I love Dalton's dedication and compassion to the people he loves, even attempting to make things right with his no-good father. I had a feeling we were going to meet Josie's only family too, but the the way it happened was not what was I was expecting at all.
If you like a sexy but sweet rock star paired with an independent but loyal woman, this book is for you. Recommend for a spicy, but light read!
Love in Motion is a good read. When reading it I was hooked and didn't want to put it down. Dalton is a sexy lead singer for DOL. DOL is made up of him and his friends, Owen and Luke. These guys are bandmates but also best friends and I loved the dynamics of that. Dalton is a nice guy with some issues. His relationship with his Dad has not been great. He and his friend's head home because his Dad is sick. While there he meets Joselyn. Joselyn is a sweet nice girl. Up until the time her friend Rose drags her to the airport for a glimpse of DOL, she knew nothing about the band. Joselyn had a rough childhood and struggled a bit after. She works hard and is focused. When see she Dalton for the first time she feels a pull to him. These two have this cute instant connection hat they build on. This one is a cute read with some twists and secrets that will keep you hooked.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. Dalton was everything rock star, however he knew from the first moment what Joselyn would mean to him. The book is fast paced and doesnt dwell on anything more than necessary. It is a quick read for when you want something with substance but not too heavy.
I have to start by saying this author is new to me and I’m glad I went in blind because this book was a wonderful read. There is nothing better than finding an author who gives a common plotline a new and fresh voice and Mrs. Parker has achieved that in Love In Motion. This is Dalton and Joselyn’s story.
Dalton is the lead singer of the band DOL with his two friends, Owen and Luck. Dalton has been called home from a concert tour due to his father’s failing health. He and his father have a very strained relationship and he’s not looking forward to being home, but his mother needs his support and he would never let her down.
Joselyn is an investigative reporter for a local newspaper. When she was a teenager a tragic accident leaves her without the family she loves and she's put into the foster care system. She rebels quite a bit with drinking and partying. She’s learned to not expect anything from anyone, least of all love. She does have two friends who managed to break down her walls over the years, but she’s hesitant to trust completely.
Love is not what either of them is looking for but find nonetheless. It's not easy and there are mistakes made and trust broken. Finding their way back will not be simple.
A lot is going on in this book and a lot of ways it could have gone but I’m glad the story played out the way it did. I did find some things weren’t necessary and you’re introduced to a lot of characters with just a little information on each. I would have liked to have more character development with Dalton and Joselyn but once the story begins you get lost in their journey regardless of that.
I am hoping and excited to see if the side characters get books. Especially the two characters who have a history!!
All in all, I did like this book. If you have not read this author before, give this book a try. You won't’ regret it.
Congratulations Angela K Parker you have a new reader!!
This is not my first book by Angela and it won't be my last. I fell in love with everything this story had to offer. Joselyn and Dalton were two well rounded and developed characters. They flowed like a melody bleeding from the pages of my kindle. Joselyn is a woman who knew where she wanted to be professionally. Personally, though, that was another matter. I admired her strength to guard secrets, loyalty to protect, and heart as big as the ocean. She grew for me in this story, and we really got to see how sometimes our best intentions to protect the ones we love, sometimes are the right ones. She is one of my favorite female characters I've read this year. I feel like I'm rambling but Joselyn gave me everything I would want in the main character. Dalton definitely had his moments for me that I wanted to smack him LOL. He was great for Joselyn though, and I loved the dynamics they created. Angela made his internal dialogue something I enjoyed reading. His struggles made him a character that you wanted to hug and put all the broken pieces back together. I don't want to spoil what he goes through but everything on his journey to a happy ending had you reading as quickly as possible, yet not missing a detail, to make sure he would be okay. Rose is a hilarious side character. I cannot wait (secretly hoping) to have her story (if she gets one). I love how she is so opposite of Joselyn, but they just work. Al added a unique mix to Joselyn's friends and I think helped Joselyn to see just how much of an amazing person she is. Owen and Luke! The remainder of DOL, are fabulous additions to the story and each bring out the best in Dalton in their own way. Hopefully it won't be the last we see of them either.
Favorite line: Things happened in my life that I had no control over, and the things I did, I didn't do anything to stop or change the outcome.
This book is really good. Definitely had some curveballs in and that makes for a better story.
Dalton Member of DOL with his best friends and lead singer. Doing what he loves performing. Everything changed when his mom called and asked him to come home because dad didn’t haven’t long. Music was his first and only love but he returned for his mom’s sake. First day back DOL goes out to the bar/club and they are part of the VIP area and that’s when he notices HER at the bar. He will do anything to get know her. Even if it means opening himself and realizing that love can be real.
Jocelyn Hard worker not much of a dater. Her co worker/friend asked her to go to the airport to see DOL come in for exclusive pictures for the paper. Jocelyn had never heard of the band but Dalton walked into that airport something stirred inside her. She had to know him.
They say people change people and that’s true in this story. But they have to learn to trust each other with EVERYTHING, because secrets are always revealed. Can their love really trump all? Read and find out, I promise you won’t regret it.
This is a storyline that really touches your heart. When two people from different backgrounds who have been through a rough time growing up meet and because of what happened to them has caused them to be afraid to love and trust anyone. Josie and her older sister lost their parents to a tragic accident which cause them to be placed in foster care. Dalton has grown up in a home where his father was controlling to him and his mother. Dalton comes home from a singing tour because his father is now dying. Josie and her best friend/co-worker goes to the airport to see Dalton and his group DOL when it lands, Josie to get photos for her newspaper and her friend is a big fan of Dalton singing group. When Josie and Dalton make eye contact there is a instant connection. Little did they know how intense this connection will become. I like how well the characters were developed and the emotions they displayed throughout the storyline. There was a couple of times I was fussing at the characters and laughing out loud, like I was right there with them. Now you know it is a good read when this happens while reading.. There were some plot twist and turns that I did not see coming, which made this a page turner for me to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book to read especially if you like a romance, drama, with plot twists. Cassandra H.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It really took a while for me to form a good opinion on if I liked Dalton and Joselyn's story or not.
This was very insta-love which I typically don't have a problem with. They both have a lot of issues which I think cloud their judgement a bit.
Dalton has his issues with his dad. I feel like we never really learn about all of them any why his dad was such a bad man. I mean we know he did so some terrible things but a lot was just vaguely alluded to, which I guess was fine or it would have made the book a whole lot longer.
Joselyn had her issues with this loss of her parents as a teen and then the later loss of her sister. I didn't like how the issue with Katie was handled at all. Like I get that she spent a few months in juvenile detention, but why never reach out to your sister again? I feel like that was very poorly explained.
I saw the eventual breakup/misunderstanding coming a mile away and the catalyst was glaringly obvious.
It wasn't too bad and I managed to read it quickly which is rare for a book that I'm struggling with.
Angela K. Parker is a new to me author, and I found myself very captivated by Love In Motion, as I devoured it in quick order. This is a sweet rock star romance, as Dalton is the lead singer with DOL, a band made up of him & his two best friends Owen & Luke. He has some past issues with his father which is how he came across Josie's path. She's a girl who has some past demons, but she's a hard worker, and has no clue who DOL is. However, she & Dalton end up with an instant connection to each other so the fun journey begins, as they build on that connection. There are some secrets though, and you know secrets don't make friends, so the story had a twist of two. This was a awesome story that I really enjoyed a ton, and I believe y'all will too so hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I was really surprised by how much I liked this book. I read it from cover to cover in less than three hours. I enjoyed this ‘rock star romance’ for its similarities to others I’ve read, and for its differences. The romance between Dalton and Joselyn develops sweetly. They rush into the romance, but not the physical aspect which makes for a change from the norm. The physical aspect of their relationship is tamer than some but it fit their relationship dynamic beautifully. The conflict that came about fit the plot and the characters well. I liked the back and forth point of views between the two main characters. I’m hoping this continues as a series, because I think there’s more to be explored between Luke and Rose. I received a complimentary copy from the author through Voracious Readers Only.
Love In Motion is a wonderful, emotional story about love, family and trust. I absolutely fell in love with this book, no hesitations. It made me smile so much, my cheeks were hurting. I won't lie and say I didn't cry because I did shed some tears but in the best way possible - I adored how they loved each other and Parker's writing style is so lyrical and poetic, I love it! Here are my thoughts:
I love Dalton with every inch of my body. He was so sweet and honest - he definitely has a way with words. I adored how much he loved her and everything he did for her. I think he was just a beautiful man, the way he cared for her and her feelings were so admirable. I've always been a fan of love at first sight and I absolutely loved just how he fell head over heels for Joselyn. You will 100% fall in love with the man, flaws and all.
Now Joselyn was exactly the same, I loved her & her character. I think that she is such a genuine person and she loves wholeheartedly. The way she felt for him so much, she refused to hurt him was so beautiful. It's truly incredible just how much you can care for a person without it getting too overwhelming. Joselyn is the type of heroine I always want to see in the books I read.
I think my favourite quotes sum up just how I feel about this book: "They're lines from our song Josie. Mine and yours. Just a few of many. We'll write it together. It will take some time. Decades. It won't always be perfect, but when we're done, it'll be one for the charts. It'll be one of the most beautiful songs ever written." And let's not forget, "Some might say I'm crazy for falling so hard, so fast, but I say it's kismet. Whether you accept us or not, that's up to you, but just know that I do. I accept us and everything it brings because I love you. my heart is yours, Dalton. To have, to hold, and if ever broken, to mend." Kudos to the author!!

Ms. Parker is a new author to me and Love in Motion was a surprisingly enjoyable read. This is a rock star romance with quite a few secondary storylines which make it a bit unique. Dalton and Jocelyn was very likeable characters but I would have liked to have read more about how their relationship developed -- it felt like it moved from them meeting to having an all-in relationship that I didn't completely "feel.". Having said that though, I did feel the emotional angst during the last 25% of the book and really felt like I knew them and connected with them by the end of the book. I would definitely recommend this book if you like rock star romances with a twist (a few twists!). I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
The book was good, I haven’t been able to finish one in a while and this one kept my interest. I liked the storyline and I love the idea of a musician being the love interest. I typically read this genre, and this is very typical of what you will get from it. There were parts where I would get a little bored of the story line and then something would happen and suck me right back in.
SPOILER BELOW
I do tend to hate when a heterosexual relationship has to end up with a kid. Not every relationship needs children and it’s more personal preference than anything, I just hate the trope that all couples want children.

This was a new author for me and I'm glad I picked this one up! I love a good rockstar romance. This book was a fake-to-real relationship plus insta-love. I loved how Dalton and Josie only had eyes for each other and I was rooting for them. I was hoping for more details about Dalton and his family and some more depth to the band- what type of music they played, more details with their interview from Josie to get more of a sense of who the characters were. Not too much steam, but a lot of sweet looks and romantic talk. A solid 3.5 stars. I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a new author to me, and I was not to sure what to expect, but I need not have worries, and this is an author I will certainly be looking out for in the future! This is Dalton and Joslyn’s story. This is one of those stories which just had to be devoured in one sitting. This is a well written story which has relatable and engaging characters as well as an in-depth plot which is filled with twists, secrets, emotions, and love. I cannot wait to read more from this author, and I highly recommend for all.
Such a great read! This is the first book I have read by Angela Parker and It will not be my last! Such a wonderful group of characters, great storyline, and I loved the underlying secrets!
Dalton is a rockstar whose band mates are like brothers, a dying father, a few secrets, and no girlfriend.
Joselyn is a reporter needing to get a story, a good heart, some secrets of her own, and is a strong heroine.
I loved all of be characters in this book and hope Rose and Luke get a story!
Got a free copy to review from voracious readers only. I just wanted to say I've just finished love in motion. It's not a book I would normally read. But wow was it good.. it kept me engaged the whole way through. I hope there will be more stories with Joselyn and Dalton. Highly recommend this to anyone. Thank you. Because of this I found a love in books I never knew I had. Had to believe this is literally the first book I have finished since I left school almost 15 years ago.. I just couldn't put it down.
“Love in Motion was utterly fabulous. Joselyn and Dalton’s story was the kind of story you cant help but love. It had romance, a hero with some family issues and a sweet girl with a hard past too. They were a match made in heaven and their instant connection melted my heart. So I’m not a great fan of rockstar romances but Angela’s writing style completely trapped me. A cute and lovely romance that I highly recommend you.”
I read this book in one sitting, it's very good. I coudn't put it down. The story is about band member Dalton and "normal girl" Josie and how their story reveals. I liked the fact that they didn't have much problems and obstacles in their story.
Flow in story is captivating, I was hooked all the way. Some scenes were predictable but I was still surprised on some parts.
I assume that Luke's and Rosies' story is next one.
I liked the funny repartee between the characters. The humor helped to balance the seriousness of family issues. I felt surprised by a plot twist that complicated the relationship between Dalton and Josie. This story presents a simplified glimpse into a musician's public life and its effect on his romantic life keeping this a lighthearted love story. I received a complimentary copy of this title through Voracious Readers Only.
Love in Motion tells the tale of Dalton and Josie. They both have had difficult lives so far that have made them who they are and lead to the choices they have had But can they two people over comes their insecurities, the challenges put on them by family, friends and enemies and the strain of hidden secrets to build a love to last It's beautifully written and many of the twists I really didn't see coming x
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were likeable, it was a cute love story with some twists and heartache. I liked that the author gave us the perspective of both main characters to really understand what was going through each of their minds during certain events. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance. I have received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
A quick read that I really enjoyed. Love In Motion was easy to read and follow and Angela Parker had a few moments that I never saw coming. I would've loved to have seen the Luke and Rose story develop more but there is a second book that follows that story further. I just felt like we were left hanging with it in this one. However I loved the story of Josie and Dalton. Dating a star can't be easy, but love will make it worth it.
A different romance, the girl next door catches the eye of the rock star. Josie has had it rough but her life has been good with her best friends. Dalton has come back home for his father, along with his band mates. One look at Josie and he’s gone but it’s not so easy with all that’s going on. I admire the strength and patience on Josie. It’s a cute romance but also with its depth.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Joslyn and Dalton. The author pulls you in with all the emotions flowing throughout. She kept me glued to the pages with all the twists and turns. I enjoyed reading their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This was a good rock star romance. I was pulled in right away and didn't want to put it down. I really enjoyed the dynamics between Dalton and his bandmates/friends. Joselyn is a such a sweetie. They both have some past issues they're moving on from. There's secrets and twists and I really enjoyed watching it all unfold. I highly recommend Love in Motion.
Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. I'm not going to go into detail, no spoilers, just read the book if you are even mildly intrigued by the blurb. You'll thank me later!
The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and passion and you have a good read.
