To be honest, I've always loved an MC romance - I mean look at their muscled, tatooed backs. A girl could surely love a sight like that.
And the softness the hero from the MC gang gets after meeting the love of his life - it's such an epic vision to see.
And for this story to have rival clubs and forbidden attraction - totally a romeo and juliet like feel with this one - thank god no one died in this one.
But oh my god, the plot, the writing, the hot hot chemistry, the banter, the forbidden attraction, the mc clubs, the characters themselves - they have become my all-time favorites and I will shout it from the rooftops if I have to.
Cause it was this good.
Anyway.

OMG!!! This is my first book by this author and won't be the last. This is an amazing MC story and wow it will pull hard at your heart for Harper. Zane and Harper grew up together and had a bond that even though they were at different MCs was always there. Harper's life is one ball of messed up but don't get me wrong she is strong, so so strong. Zane and her are thrown back together and this time he isn't letting her go. There is a HUGE threat that needs to be taking care of and I can't freaking wait until he gets his. I hope it is slow and painful. The ending well I just can't... I will tell you this.. it is a huge Cliffhanger and there are parts in this story that might have a trigger for some.

I now know that to be part of a motorcycle brotherhood, you have to be either insanely angry or hysterically scared. There is no medium. The timeline did not make sense. These people are supposed to be early 20s and I was expecting MUCH older from the cover.

Wow just wow.
MC Romances are my #1 favorite and this one did NOT disappoint!!
This was my first (but definitely not my last) book by Heather Dahlgren. It has ALL the feels.. love, angst, chemistry, hatred,sadness,revenge and so many more!
Zane and Harley have history sprouting way back into childhood, they were expected to be enemies but we’re drawn to each other, and against all the odds they found each other again even if it meant danger for them and the people they loved most.
I’m kind of sad it ends on a cliffhanger but
am excited that the next book in the series is already out and I don’t have to wait to find out what happens next! I can’t wait to see how Zane and Harleys story ends and maybe get to know some of the other characters’ as well (cough* Ivy cough* Kase)

Wow, this was intense!
This was my first book by this author and I'm craving more!
Harper and Zane have loved each other for years and their love blossomed despite all the hate swirling around them.
There was so much pain, betrayal and hurt, but also love, loyalty and protection, and everything, all the emotions, good or bad, were deep and all consuming.
There were times, not a few of them, that I thought Zane and Harper were imature, but it turns out making sense considering their age and personality. They were both hot headed, reckless and impulsive but the good thing was that Kace was always there to calm things.
BTW, I can't wait to know more about him. He was so loyal to both of them, he managed to center Zane and there seemed to be so much love filling his guarded heart.
Another plus: this book was hot. Like crazy, scorching hot. And deeply addictive.
I think I should warn that it ends in a cliffhanger. But as I said in some of my previous reviews, I must be a glutton for punishment because I LOVE cliffhangers.

This is a new author to me and she definitely is going to be a keeper I love books set in the world of the MC's but am quite often disappointed that wasn't the case here from the moment I started this book I didn't want to put it down
It is almost a romeo and Juliet theme we have Harper who is the daughter of the President of the Vegas Kings MC she grew up and was best friends with Zane who is now the Sergeant at arms of the Shattered Souls MC while they walked away from one another once before when they where younger this time when they meet they can't do that again Will their love bring two warring clubs together or will it be the death of them both You will have to read to see

I wasnt sure what to expect because this is the first book by Heather Dahlgren that I have read and this book didn't disappoint.
Harper is a strong, independent women. However, she has not had it easy. With her father using her to pay debts and her not being able to get away from it all. When she runs into Zane all of this starts to change. Even with the changes and Zane back in her life things are still very complicated. The main reason is Harper is a Vegas Kings and Zane is a Shattered Souls.
Zane is your typical bada** biker. He is loyal to his club and will do what is needed. However, when the Kings start to cause more trouble then normal Zane does as told and goes to talk to them however, he didn't expect to run into Harper.
Harper and Zane have a past but can they have a future? All the sh** these have to go through because of the clubs would have mny just giving up but Harper and Zane were made for each other. However, some think differently and will do what is needed to put an end to them, even if this is through death.
The twists in this story had me hooked and also wanting to find out who comes out on top. That ending had me wanting more right now though!!

Well I guess I just found myself a new author to add to my list, Heather is a new to me Author I saw she had an MC book out and I went right in being it’s a favorite group of mine, with that being said I was a not nervous because I do have my favorites so I er t in blinded and WOW she is a keeper.
Ok we have your Love & War two MC clubs who are enemies yet.... you get the forbidden love triangle with Harper, daughter of Vegas Kings president and Zane, SGT At arms of Shattered Souls MC who can not deny their feelings for each other and well it comes down to life or death.
Harper is a strong girl she’s had a hard life living under her ruthless fathers rein, all she’s known is hate except from the one guy who is the forbidden fruit , Zane from her fathers dreaded enemies MC , will the only love she’s known be strong enough to end the vicious cycle or will it end their lives?
This story is packed with so many emotions it has so much angst, heartbreak and true love my mind was all over the place but in the best of ways and well the chemistry between these two was off the charts too let’s not forget that Zane let’s just say is one hot dude. The ending had me screaming for more like ASAP I need it so grab this book and prepare for the ride of your life.

OH MY HELL HEATHER DAHLGREN! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO US?! Zane Madden is the SGT for the Shattered Souls MC, while Harper Kingsley is from his MC's enemy, Vegas Kings. They haven't seen each other for a while until Zane's president tasks him with getting close to her again so they can get info on her club. Harper's fathers is the president of Vegas Kings, and he's a horrible horrible man who uses her to pay off his debt to whoever. If he finds out that Zane is sniffing around her again, he will kill her, that's how awful he is. So, they wait until he goes out of town, and they get to know each other again, though they're both hiding things from the other. This story has some big time twists & turns which got the loud f-bombs dropping, sexy times which were HOT, and the story was an edge of my seat kind of experience that leads all the way to the end with a torturous cliffy which definitely has my dying inside, and I NEED the next book NOW! You'll feel the same way after you hit those one click buttons, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I don't even know where to start with Shattered! This is my first book by Heather Dahlgren and I am now a lifetime fan. Zane Madden, Shattered Souls Sergeant at Arms and Harper Kingsley, Daughter of the President of Vegas Kings MC, have loved each other for years. Yep, you guessed it, it's a forbidden love and even though they've tried to stay apart it's impossible to do when you have the kind of love they have. Their story is heartbreaking, compelling, sad, haunting and tragically beautiful. Shattered is one of those books that I wish could be given more than 5 stars. It certainly deserves it.

This is my first read from this author, and I LOVED it! Zane is one super hot alpha, and Harper is such a strong independent woman, especially after the stuff she goes thru. These two together, are one powerhouse couple, except they should be enemies. I feel like this is a modern day Romeo and Juliet, except biker style. I can see this author becoming one of my favorites, the writing style and story line, sucked me right in. Can't wait for more of these boys

Amazing!!
This is the first book in a new series and is Zane and Harper's story. This is a well written emotionally charged story which is intriguing and emotional and I was completely captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more in this fascinating series especially after that cliffhanger.

A great story that captivated me from the beginning. I liked how the author wove their story of love with the darkness and danger of their respective MCs. The journey was strife with danger from unexpected sources and the storyline was amazing. I loved it.

AMAZING! A fantastic, well written read. An intense storyline that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Plenty of excitement and emotionally heartfelt. A thrilling must read.

Good first book
This was a good start to the series but half way through it lost some of it's momentum and needed a little push I think this and the second book could have been merged to keep it going and keep the reader hooked but a great first book

I have to admit that the opening pages of this book were tough for me. Somehow the bold and aggressive speech and actions of the characters caught me off guard. I am not usually one whose go-to romance genre is Motorcycle Club based. However, I soon got over my shock an got into the intense and chaotic world of the Shattered Souls MC.
This book is filled with strong colorful characters. Each one whose story I am eager to read. Heather Dahlgren does a wonderful job of giving enough background information for all characters while keeping the reader focused on the story unfolding between the main characters.
The action is fast and fierce. The drama and violence is disrupted by moments of passion and love that leave you breathless. I felt totally in the midst of a war between to of Las Vegas' prominent rival MC clubs. I chose sides and made it my mission to make sure those who needed be taken care of got their just desserts.
Heather Dahlgren has created a world that totally pulled me in. I will be looking for the next books in this series. These characters are worth the time and emotional investment.

I have read this author before and LOVED her previous stuff, and was so excited for her to bring out an MC story. For me this ended up being an OK read. With loads of naughty bits, some super hot and others seriously not, violence, abuse, distrust, danger... all things that create a good read. This was just one of those stories that took forever to pull me in and I struggled to finish only to get to the end to find out… nothing. I give this 3.5 stars.

This book is Heathers best book yet hands down. It has everything you could want from an MC romance plus more. It will leave you breathless and wanting more right from the very first page to the last page. It’s full of action packed mayhem as well as plenty of romance and sexiness. This story also brings all the feels as well with these characters and you’ll fall in love with them right from the start. This is Heathers first MC romance and I hope its not her last. The only downside is this does end on a cliffhanger, but its the best kind of cliffhanger making you want/need more. If you love a good MC romance and looking to try and up and coming author this is for you. You wont be disappointed.

Fast paced, moody characters.
Zane is a member of the Shattered Souls MC. Harper is a member of another MC. These two have known each other since they were kids. They meet each other again, when Zane comes to Kingsley's (Harper's dad) new strip club to confront him. Zane causes a big ol stink then leaves. It's confusing because I don't know exactly why SSMC does not like Kingsley. After the confrontation, Zane returns to their clubhouse which is a strip club? Secrets come out, and wills are tested in this first book. What I don't understand is the MC aspect of this book, the fact that Harper can have a relationship with all the trauma from her past. Another thing that makes it hard to finish, is the immaturity of Zane and not knowing the backstory of a lot of the issues.
Zane is a member of the Shattered Souls MC. Harper is a member of another MC. These two have known each other since they were kids. They meet each other again, when Zane comes to Kingsley's (Harper's dad) new strip club to confront him. Zane causes a big ol stink then leaves. It's confusing because I don't know exactly why SSMC does not like Kingsley. After the confrontation, Zane returns to their clubhouse which is a strip club? Secrets come out, and wills are tested in this first book. What I don't understand is the MC aspect of this book, the fact that Harper can have a relationship with all the trauma from her past. Another thing that makes it hard to finish, is the immaturity of Zane and not knowing the backstory of a lot of the issues.

Shattered by Heather Dahlgren is book 1 in the Shattered Souls MC series. It’s the danger-filled story of Zane (Z) and Harper. This is a bit of a Romeo and Juliet story in current times. She’s the daughter of a horrible, blood-thirsty man, who is the Prez of the King MC. Zane is a member of a rival MC…but, these two have been in love for years and she left the life…and him behind. Now, she’s back! There’s murder, deceit, betrayal, love, and everything else you can imagine in this story!!!
These characters are so torn between their families and their love….it is truly heartbreaking! Wonderful story! Has a major cliffhanger!!

This was my first read from this author and I was looking forward to finding a new MC author/series to follow and Heather did not disappoint me. The only criticism is that I thought this would be a standalone in a series but it ends up in a pretty big cliffhanger so thank you KU.
My attention was held from start to finish even though I was not sure on the some of the Characters. i got a bit frustrated with Harper a few times as she was a club Princess (in name, not treated as such) she grew up in the life, particularly the dirty shade of it, but yet kept freaking out over Zane wanting to defend her and with the clubs war. For someone who was supposed to be kicka*s she needed a lot of hand holding and kept putting them in further trouble with her actions.
That being said this was full of action as the war between the two rival clubs starts kicking off so you won't want to put it down until the book has finished and then you will be screaming for the next one.

I really wanted to love this book, but I just couldn't finish it. I found myself struggling to stay interested because the book just dragged. I gave this book 2 stars because it had potential. The drama was there and the characters were okay, albeit a little immature in my personal opinion. The characters had a lot of chemistry, which is great, but I feel like this book focused way to much on that. Is that even a thing? I love some good sex scenes, but I felt like thats all they did so it made the characters lack in depth for me. This might be for some people just not for me. The drama was great, but that's the only thing that got me to 53%.

Shattered is the first book in Shattered Souls MC series. Zane and Harper’s story has pulled me in from the started. I love all the drama from the past that carries us to the present. I also love that Zane and Harper would do anything to protect each other. I hate and love the cliffhanger at the end of the book.
Heather Dahlgren is a new author to me. I though she did a incredible job with the characters in Shattered. I also though she did wonderful job with the storyline. It had everything you could wanted in MC. Shattered has drama, tragic, passion, love, and steamy scenes.
