My god. July 14th. It can't come quickly enough. This is one of my favourite series. Maybe my favourite. This will be book #10 I'm reading - book #10!! I usually can't stay the distance with series but here I am. Waiting. That last line in the blurb...*bites freaking nails

Reviewing as I go-

Picking up from the end of Outcast, Gray's prophecy kicks off the book. It seems pretty clear what's behind it if you've read the series, and even though Ms Blake catches you up as best she can, you

*This review contains spoilers for previous books in the Thieves and Hunter series, and kinda for this book, but not really if you've read the previous books or the description for this one. I'm not discussing anything you don't already know from the description.*

This was much more like the original Thieves books than the Hunter series has been, and that made me so happy! It even gave me the same sense of comfort I get from rereading Thieves, even though this was my first time read

I love Lexi Blake's Thieves series and always hoped that we'd find out what happened to Summer as well as that we'd see Marcus get his own romance so I was thrilled when I heard about Stealing Summer. While a lot of this author's books work as stand alone stories (you can pretty much read the Masters & Mercenaries series in any order for example) I really recommend reading this book after the rest of the Thieves and Hunter books because there is so much going on here that it would be confusing f ...more

My gawd, Lexi Blake's imagination is a wondrous thing. Stealing Summer, the long awaited and much anticipated final book in the Hunter: Thieves series is spectacular! It's a rollercoaster ride through magic, supernatural and paranormal worlds. There's intrigue, suspense, deceit, treachery, romantic and familial love and liberaly sprinkled with deft touches of humor scattered throughout. There are moments when you'll gasp, yell out loud, sit at the edge of your seat and even shed a few tears. Or ...more

Born into this world with a little bit of magic, Summer has only known a small moment in the presence of her parents. That one moment allowed Daniel the foresight to continue on with his legacy. Life for the Donovan-Quinn family moved on without knowing exactly where life lead their beloved daughter.

Life has been a roller coaster for Summer. The strength of her powers has led Summer to live life as a human, containing all of her magic. With a friend by her side, Summer does is determined to hel

3.75 - 4 stars. This was a good book! Stealing Summer is the next book in the Hunters and Thieves series. It is the continuation of Dev, Daniel and Zoey's story, along with Kelsey, Marcus and some great new characters. I won't go into the plot too much because it is best to go in blind. In the forward, the author notes that this is a transition book to move the series story arc along and it definitely did that job. I did find the book a little slow in a few parts as far as action, but there was ...more

For all her faults, I will admit that Lexi Blake can build world with the best of them. I enjoyed this book enough to read it through the night. I think mainly because it didn’t center around Kelsey and her two husbands.

I usually find multiple POV irritating. But this book, it worked. The POV was between Kelsey, Zoey, and Summer. I also hate it when the story line gets rehashed by different views, but it also worked in this book.

There were a few times the author repeated something, see the not

Plot spoilers alert.
Hellsfire Lexi, I have no words. I have waited so long for Stealing Summer thinking all the time how much I wanted to see the conclusion to Zoey, Dan and Dev's story only to realise as I got three quarters of the way in that there was more I wanted to know. So much happens in the storyline and so many questions are answered only to leave just as many hanging in the wind.
I did not expect a further book, and please, don't make us wait too long for Outlaw, I can't take the

I have very conflicted feelings about this book. There were some plot points that really worked for me, but other things that I hated.

I hated that the author had to tie in the book to every plot point from all the previous books including the original series. Each one of the previous plot points had some amount of reference and/or summary associated with it and there were a lot of them. I actually thought that this must be the last book and the author was tying up all the ends.

I hated that the

A Wild Ride and Not to be Missed

BY FAR this series continues to be my favorite supernatural story.
Anytime I am asked on FB to recommend a book that involves any fantasy characters I only need to mention Lexi Blake’s Theives series.
This book just cements that recommendation.
OMG, this book arrived for me Thursday and I stayed up and finished it at 1am this morning, (Saturday) to say I DEVOURED this story is an understatement.
This story brings in all the Theives characters...Zoey, Kelsey, Dev, Mar

First to be fair, I should share that this is one of my favorite series. With the exception of the last book which I believe I rated at 4 stars, this is a 5 star series and I'm already salivating for the next book. There are many parts to this story that I enjoyed (and I took my time reading it because 1) I didn't want it to end and 2) the next book is not due out any time soon). First, the book brought back Zoey, Danny, Dev, Kelsey and Marcus. It added characters from Lexi's A Faery Story Serie ...more

It has been days since I finished this book. Days. And I'm still hungover. It's the worst book hangover I ever had and I don't wish it for anybody. Nevertheless it is saying a lot about this book and the author's talent to create a world full of magic, interconnection and excitement.
I admit, I never expected the twists and turns that were written into the story and in the end I was sitting there with my mouth open, not really able to get back into reality.
The character development was exceptio

Lexi Blake - Queen of Romantic Fantasy!

What a glorious trip into the Thieves world. I loved every minute of my journey in this story. Stealing Summer by Lexi Blake is the fifth book in her Hunter: Thieves series. This is a complex story with much action and it kept me on the edge of my seat as I followed the adventures of Summer and Marcus, the royals, Zoe Donovan-Quin with Daniel and Dev and Kelsey Owens and Dean. Prophecy in a fantasy story is a powerful tool. In this story it greatly enhances

A highly anticipated book for me and did not disappoint. I couldn’t wait to turn the pages to find out what happened but simultaneously didn’t want to reach the end! I found this book highly satisfying as there are quite a few plot reveals and progressions to the overall story spoilers here though, you have to read it! There are multiple POV which I was initially hesitant about, but I felt that it was seamlessly done and actually heightened the anticipation in places which enhanced my r ...more

I loved this book so much, it gets my first written review ever. It’s difficult to write this type transition book and get the momentum to flow. Lexi has pretty much got this entire book rollicking along with multiple plot twists and three different perspectives.

Some long running relationships hit new milestones and potential new relationships are hinted at. You probably don’t want to read this without some familiarity with the world and it’s characters. It’s a big emotional thrill to see the l

It is not very often I cannot find words after reading. This is one of those cases. This book guys. It was pure everything. This was the story we have all been waiting for and we were completely unprepared for it.

This is book 5 in the Hunter series and 10 in the Thieves series and I would also say book 4 for Faery Story Series. They help a lot if you read them as well since there are overlapping characters.

This is Summer's story. It hurts your heart but it also give  us so much. This is a typica

I’m a proud avid reader. This love for reading has allowed me to know many different authors and their stories. I have witnessed Lexi’s storytelling development in this series. The first book of Thieves is a good read, but this one is a masterpiece. It’s insane to think how far ahead she has let her imagination run into this incredible series. Her characters are round, rich, and totally indispensable for the wholeness of this AMAZING world envisioned by her. She brings them from different

Dammit Blake,you made me cry!

Stealing Summer is full of all the wonderful things that the Thieves series has come to be known for. And for a change, we’ve got almost all the characters together! In one book! And unlike some other authors who cannot handle their cast of characters (not saying who, but the initials are AH), Blake deftly switches back and forth among all her leading ladies without utterly losing their individual voices. Yes, there are a lot of similarities between the three- Zoey,

There are no words... Or maybe I just don't have them

Of all the stories and all the universes this has to be my favorite in the LB world. I have read them all. I've read every single one, some more than once and this was fantastic! There was sorrow, heartbreak, joy and tears. There was a moment in there where The Highlander shouted "There can be only one“. You'll know when you read it! And there was that very last moment where my jaw dropped and I screamed "No" in my head because my husband make

BLUF (bottom line up front): This book ends with a MAJOR cliffhanger/WTF!!! If you like/love this series, this book doesn't disappoint. At least not horribly. haha! In my ever so humble opinion, Summer was a tad too (insert any applicable adjectives for whimpy) at times to just BAM! Not be. She was then 100% "Oh I am ..." Don't want to give too much away, but the change was so sudden it almost felt forced, so the story could continue. Again... I loved the book. Especially the introduction of som ...more

This book was phenomenal. I love this world and Lexi Blake wrote an amazing story with this one. In the past, the books have been from one perspective but we get three in this book. One story line gets wrapped up in this book, but we are left with so many questions. This book is not a standalone and you need to read the books before it to understand this one. I'm not normally a fan of cliffhangers, but this entire series is one so I knew what I was getting into with this book. I love how entwine ...more

The wait is finally over as the fifth book of Hunter: A Thieves Series is here and it just blows the mind. Lexi Blake is one of my go to authors and once again, she delivers a spectacular dive into the paranormal/magical worlds that she created. It is not a standalone and the books must be read in order. Like the story itself, as the reader journeys to different plains along with the amazing characters, it is a whirlwind of a rollercoaster ride blending intrigue, suspense, humor, love and the re ...more

Can this series get any better?

Wonderous adventures and transitions await your arrival in Stealing Summer. With multiple POV's, your perception and mind reel with the anticipation, the suspense and magical love that's captured between the pages.

Lexi Blake's writing has always been a favorite of mine with all her books as you feel what her characters feel. Sorrow - heartbreak - anger - joy; you as the reader encompass those feelings, emotions deep your bones, within your nerves. And I for one, l

2.5-3 stars. I completely love this series and counted down the days until Stealing Summer was released. I have become invested with the characters in this world and normally get sucked into the plot right away. This addition to the story was a disappointment for me. I felt the multiple POVs made it difficult to stay engaged and the entire thing seemed scattered and pieced together. I also wrongfully assumed this would be the conclusion of the series and was left with an empty feeling at the end ...more

I was so excited to visit with my old friends. It was like coming home. After the cliffhanger of the previous book, we pickup immediately with the main characters being sucked through the painting into another plane of existence.

To be honest it’s been so long since I read the Thieves series that totally forgot about Summer. It’s nice to continue a storyline setup near the beginning of the series.

The book was so satisfying. And that ending!! Can’t wait for the next story in the series. Seems li
