The greatest stories ever told have often been subjected to harsh scepticism for their historicity. We tend to not believe what we deem impossible. But what if they were all indeed true? This book will take you on an imaginative journey of one such story which happens to be the most celebrated Epic of Indian history. Embark on this journey with Dr Matang Leeladhar Swamy, also known as Matlee, into this re-imagined world where one would get to know ‘how’ it could’ve been real. Dive deep into this conundrum of time where the diversion between the past and the future becomes evanescent. Matlee is as oblivious to what lies ahead as you are. He is busy working for ISRO in its most confidential research wing called the Department of Extradimensional Vectors… or D.E.V...

DEV by Rishabh Dubey is a blend of Science fiction with Mythology which makes it captivating. Story begins where ISRO scientists are about to celebrate their success in the project of Department Of Extradimensional Vector where Dr. Indira Vasudev's brother Mahesh threatenes to steal their project which was to attain speed equal to that of light, in short traveling through the corners of space maintaining human lifetime. . And the protagonist of the story Matlee decides to take matters in hand to save their project. He flies the chariot at full fuel to evade capture for a time. As he travels through time he finds himself in a mythological place. And adventure begins, plot begins to attract interests as we dive deep. . The cover is catchy and does justice to the plot of the story though can't say same about the title of the book. The writing is lucid. I would totally recommend this book to who those who likes Sci-fi and craving to dive deep into the ocean of possibilities.
Fabulous takeoff but ended with a massive blowoff.
The citation of the "Rig Veda and it is said that Mahabharata, is the story that, might actually be inspired by a battle mentioned in the Rig Veda called the battle of the Ten Kings", it really torments my beliefs. But the imagination levels of the author are at the epitome level and the takeoff of the booking is amazing. It's great going until the end but linking the experiment in DEV by DR.matang Leeladhar Swamy and DR. Indira and team to the ancient history of the battle of ten kings is not so decent enough and I guess more equipped, well talented, and fully knowledgeable persons are prevalent in that period, there is no point that someone from the future, need to help them... It's insane and the notion behind it is very childish. It is a fantasy I agree but it really sticks the beliefs and undermines the ancient technical valor and glory of India.

|| PERSONAL INSIGHT || - 🌸 This Book is based on an extremely Interesting concept. But Implementation and Imagination could have been better. Although, I liked the story, there were instances I wanted more. Overall, the book is a good read.
'DEV' is book written by Rishabh Dubey who introduces elements of myth and science. The writing and the use of words is very good. ... The story starts with a group of scientists working in a project. The title of the book DEV is the facility name 'Department of Extradimensional Vectors.' Mat Lee is the protagonist of the book. There was a terrorist attack in order to steal the information of the new project. Matlee in order to save his project details from terrorists tries a surge. Then he lands up in an old mythological place where war was going on. It was unbelievable to him. He was in a forest witnessing a war in front of him. How did he got to that place? And what happened after that? ... A very well written book with a blend of Indian mythology. The cover is also very attractive. A book recommended to everyone.
DEV by @kridious is a mixture of futuristic fiction with mythology. He connected the ancient text in his manner with modern technology. It is a time-travelling type of fiction because the way picturising the ancient war with a person's perspective can be seen here. ⠀ Storyline revolves around character Matlee a ISRO fellow who saved invention from traitors & accidentally landed in ancient world. Here he met human as well as non human characters & experiences a famous war.⠀ .⠀ I haven't found any uniqueness in this story. Putting some technology & then retelling the story which we all know is not a proper way to deal with mythology. As we proceed from starting to the last we found the story of a prince, monkey companion & war against demons { I know that you know this story well} but at last, author relates it to *another* epic which is completely different. That's the part I dislike the most. In other facts, the author took some facts from one epic than from ancient scripts & then put his imagination & served a non-relevant content which is not a justice with the stories included. ⠀ .⠀ Totally I'm not able to support such type of texts. There can be a better way of retelling stories. ⠀
Author- Rishabh Dubey Genre- Sci-fi,Thriller Rating- 4.2 We are very aware of the fact that through machine learning and AI researchers are doing lots of experiment to make the world advanced. The book is also based on this. Here the scientists of ISRO are putting all their efforts to take the technology ahead.Dr.Indira Vasudev was trying hard to make matter attain velocities in multiples of that light, all the while retaining it's form. But she failed continually. But with Matang Leeladhar she made some changes in the work and finally succeeded.
Suddenly from nowhere a group of militants came and attacked on the staffs present there in the room. The attack was done by Dr.Indira's own brother Mahesh.According to Mahesh the vision of this experiment was his.Indira clarified that it was her vision which she was going to use for exploration but Mahesh wanted to usd it for destruction. Meanwhile Matang managed to escape with the chariot but due to some dysfunction he fell abruptly into a dense forest. Then he realised he was into a completely different world. He experienced that the population there were very much advanced when it comes to technology. They were the super humans, super monkeys, super apes with extreme power. But they don't really have the idea of what technology is.They considered all the chemicals and weapons as God's gift. The population their was trying to win battle against the Tenth-Kings.The tenth kings were expert in aerial combat abilities. The super beings lacked this power.Matang finally helped the super beings to won the battle with his chariot. Later he found himself in a hospital bed and realised he was dreaming.Matlee soon after getting well, started working on shield generator. But after that something happened that made him realised it was not a dream. --- The origin of the title DEV for this book is really interesting and evasive. The cover of the book is one of the best part about this book. The cover is related to the whole concept of the content. Initially I was intrigued but later as I finished pages after pages everything became clear and I enjoyed reading the book. The book has lots of scientific terms because of which one may find it quite difficult to read but apart from that the writing style was simple and elegant. I recommend this to someone who is looking for a book that has a touch of mythology and technology.
I have never read a mythological retell till now and 'D.E.V.' made me realized how different such experiences can be. I started this book without any expectations and I had no idea what I was going to get from it and I am astonished the way it turned out. . MatLee is the ISRO's scientist working in its most confidential research wing called the 'Department of Extradimensional Vectors (D.E.V.) where he and his colleague scientist Dr. Indira invent the 'Surge Fuel technology' that can travel faster than light. During their experimental trials on their prototype aircraft, something goes fishy and the story takes a drastic turn and MatLee's world turn upside down when he accidentally time travels by that aircraft and find himself in the one of the most famous Indian era: the era of Ramayana! . Reading this book was something new to me because I have read something like this and I might not have impressed with it if it would have set its premise just a few decades back, but the era of Ramayana? That was crazy. In my whole life, all I know about Ramayana is from that Durdarshan series and didn't know much except what I have learned from it. In this book, author Rishabh Dubey gave the third person experience through MatLee's POV and that was nothing but completely nostalgic. . I loved narration the most because the author's presentation of MatLee's observation and experience in that era is exactly how an outsider might have reacted. The language was subtle and with very few characters, the author excellently used the sci-fi and mythology elements and the recreation of battle scenes was precisely presented as well. . In this book, Rishabh Dubey knows what he's talking about and to whom he's referring to, but to keep constant hype and curiosity he doesn't give away the names of original characters, instead, he refers those legends with synonyms. (Maybe the intention was not to involve or affect anyone's religious beliefs with it. So, if that's the matter then the author portrayed them brilliantly.)

MY REVIEW :
This story starts in banglore with Dr. Indira Vasudev a nuclear physicist and a young scientist Matang Leeladhar Swamy also called Mat lee together working on the project named Department of Extradimensional Vectors that’s the reason book is named as D.E.V. & trying to achieve the speed of light. They created a chariot that can take anyone to different dimentions but one day a group of terrorist led by “Mahesh” Indira’s Brother suddenly attacked on them to capture the work of the Indira Vasudev & Mat Lee. Mahesh claims the project to be his vision, losing his patience he plans to kill all the people involved. In an attempt to save the project details, Matlee uses their project to fly to safety. The Chariot sent him in ancient period, where kings & price are fighting and he is in situation to help the people in the war. After offering a great help he find himself lying in a bed of hospital. How did he really get there at first? How did he help? What was his purpose in that war? All these things kept me hooked to the book till end Many more mesmerizing incidents happen when he explores that time and place. To know more about it just give this interesting book a read. This book is an perfect compilation of ancient mythology as well as science fiction. As mythology is my most favourite gener of all time that’s why I liked every mythological part of this book.
Protagonist of this book is “Matang leeladhar swamy” aka “Matlee” and the way author made that character and expelled every characteristics about him, I liked that very much. The book starts where the team of scientist working on a project called DEV ( Department Of Extradimensional Vector) and trying to achieve the speed of light which is led by “Dr. Indra Vasudev”. Matlee also working in this project and everything going good. Even they created a chariot which can take anyone to different dimension. but………
One day a group of terrorist led by “Mahesh” suddenly attacked. What happened after that? Does they overruled the project Or scientists are able to survive this attack?
Plot of this book is settled in ISRO, Bangalore. This book is totally filled with such an interesting things who can easily kept the readers stucked to the end. Like the matlee’s time travelling explained in this book at the ancient period and many other mesmerizing incidents happens.
This book is filled with Chariots, Missiles, Spaceships, apes planet and many other mesmerizing things which makes it a perfect read for everyone. The way author narrates everything is on the point and the story of this book is also very gripping.

Dev By Rishabh Dubey Kridious Format Kindle It is Mythological Science Fiction by the Author
The story start somewhere in Banglore at ISRO Dept. There is Advance Department who study something magical more than speed of light it called as surge although they kept it secret with help of guidance of Extraordinary Boss Dr Indira Vasudeo and Assistant Mr Matang Leeladhar Swamy his nick name is MatLee who is obidient and very sharp intelligent Team player MatLee is the main Protagonist in the story and story revolved around him.
As the Science terms progress i have more eagar to read this story The Advance Dept is known as Department of Exrradimentional Vector (D.E.V) The Surge is Successfully bridge matter and energy.
In the Climax Indira Brother Mahesh shown as Malefactor who try to get the Credit and want to steal this project which Matlee and Dr Indira invented, There is Fight between both of the group one lead by Mahesh and other by Dr Indira , in Between Matlee try to fight and finally escape successfully alone with Chariot.
In betewen he use some energy called surge he invented at DEV Dept some thing like time Travelling and he get into the era of Ramayana and there is important part of story start, How Matlee survives and Deal with the characters there as he is from the modern era and he feel very strange when he land with his chariot in the ancient times it is intresting to read The language used is simple Author try to justify every character, he given historical Touch and try to use words which give this mythological sci fictions. The Treat for readers who like to Light read mythological Sci Fiction.
The book "DEV" starts with an interesting set of scenario which is all related to technology and science. And a sudden yet smooth makeshift to a old myth place. In short notice the book was very good read and huge applause to the author's creativity to view the epic indian story in a different prespective.
Speaking of the story there is a group of scientist working on some surge fuel led by Indira and MatLee and a terrorist group hold a attack on them to capture the work of the scientists. In an attempt to save the project details, Matlee uses their project to fly to safety. It is when he find himself in the old mythology, magic filled place.
There he find himself in a situation to help the people in the war. After offering a great help he find him lying in a bed of hospital. How did he really get there at first? How did he help? What was his purpose in that war? Wasn't it really a dream? All these things kept me hooked to the book till end.
The author's use of word was very catchy and captivating through the book. The complicated science experiment and the incidents in warfare were all explained to its complete sense. The characters were well developed.Even the preface was very well written which i liked it very much.
The ending was little abrupt and i could not understand what the author was trying to convey.Only the last two pages.
The topic suits well to the story as it is an abbreviation for the scientist department and it also refers to the god who gifted the people with various war artifacts. The attractive cover of the book is also a compatible match for the story.
The cover of the book is little tricky to judge, i feel its different but could have been more appealing considering the plot mentioned in the book. The title of the book DEV is the acronym for Department of Extradimensional Vector which is been detailed in the plot , so the title makes sense once your read the entire book.
The theme of the book is unique combination of science , history and fiction. A group of scientist in ISRO tries to make matters attain the speak of light. The projects called Department of Extradimensional Vector or D.E.V. lead by Dr Indira Vasudev. Things try to get into a twist when a group of terrorist lead by Mahesh (Indra's Brother) attach them in order to obtain an Nuclear surge fuel which results in a scientist evade the current time to reach the time of Mahabharata which ends up in a series of events which is jotted down beautifully in the book. Now then the story is something which would excite few of us , but not all
The language used in the book is easy to understand and grasp what the author is trying to imply. The narration of the book is something which I loved in the book as it tries to narrate some extraordinary things which could give readers some kind of curiosity to know what would happen next.
I liked the way in which the story started , but in the middle somewhere the pace got a little dragged which actually lead me to skip a few pages , but still keeping up what is about. The cover of the book could have been little more eye catching an appealing so as to match the wonderful plot
The book is based on mythology, scientific events ,suspense. The book contains total of 102 pages. DEV is a scientific book. The cover of the book itself says a lot about the story. When u see the book cover then u see something like a instrument or something relating to time or machine or scientist.
The book story begins when the scientists of ISRO try to do something new and very different they work hard to touch the speed of light. They are trying to make a helicopter or fuel to reach the speed of light.
Now they got success they made something who just faster than speed of light and it was made by in the centre with the help of Matlee and his colleague Dr. Indira. But in every story or a successful person there is always a devil, like here a territorist group who just attack on the scientists.
Now the scientists went from there and they dont know how but know they was in the ancient time.
Now its very exciting and adventurous to see what happened next to know that grab your copy.
The plot is well constructed and the author has done a great job in showing something different and adventurous.
The language used by the author is quite lucid.
Overall, it is an adventurous read that you shouldn’t miss if you love reading mythological/fantasy literature, something adventorous
A story where the author tries to technology, science and Indian myth. The story begins with a group of scientists (mainly ISRO scientists) are working on a project to make matter attain speed equal to that of light, in short traveling through the corners of space maintaining human lifetime. This project is led by Dr Indira Vasudev. A nerdy chemical engineer assists Dr Indira in this project Matang Leeladhar Swamy, normally called MatLee. They together form a futuristic wing Department of Extradimensional Vector or D.E.V.
A terrorist group with the aid of Mahesh (Indira's brother) attack the team in their warehouse to obtain the powerful Nuclear Surge Fuel used in this project. Mahesh claims the project to be his vision, losing his patience her plans to kill all the people involved. In an urge to save the project (the Chariot) from Mahesh and the terrorist group MatLee flies at full fuel landing in a magical or mythological land. What will happens next becomes the story.
India is very particular about its Epics. In this story the author tries to connect modern technology with the greatest epic Mahabharata. This could have been very dangerous but this style of mouldings modernity and touching the ancient epic without disturbing the myth is a huge task. Author's simplistic use of words had made this book very interesting.
Blurb: The story is a sci-fic novel, starts with when the ISRO scientists are about to celebrate their success in the project of Department Of Extradimensional Vector, lead by scientists named Dr.Indira Vasudev and Dr.Matang Leeladhar Swamy, in short MatLee.to travel through the corner of space maintaining human lifetime. But, a terriosts group led by Mahesh brother of Dr. Indira attacks them and claim the project to be their authority. To save the project from them Matlee flies at full fuel and lands in a mythological land were a war is been taking place. From here the story DEV takes a turn and indeed a worth read book it is!
Cover and the title: Cover is beautiful it depicts the main plot of the book, time travelling , the title is mysterious to read the book!
Plot: The plot of the book is based on sci-fic, historical touch, i always enjoy reading historical books, but less reading into sci-fci this is the first book in this genre which I throughly enjoy. According to me, writing about the ancient mythological era is a bit tough keeping up with the pace of today's world, which the author kept so a +star for this.
Narration: The book has many techinical terms, the book is in a simple and easy language, it kept me engrossed till the end. Loved reading it.
DEV by Rishabh Dubey is science fiction with mythology. The title of the book is the facility name 'Department of Extradimensional Vectors' in Banglore. The story starts with a group of scientists working on a project in this facility. They created a chariot that can take anyone to different dimensions. This book is filled with Missiles, Spaceships, and many other mesmerizing things.
But one day, a group of terrorists led by one of the main scientist's brother, suddenly attacked. He claims on this project to be his vision and tried to kill all other scientists involved in this project with his brother. One scientist tried to save this project and with the help of Chariot, reached into ancient times.
What will happen next? Will the science able to protect this project or terrorists will kill all other members of the group? What will happen in ancient times? Like this, there are many questions that only can be answered by reading this amazing book.
The complicated science experiment and the incidents in warfare were all explained to its complete sense. The cover seems very attractive with an appropriate title for this book. The author's use of words was very catchy and captivating throughout the book. This book is totally filled with such interesting things who can easily keep the readers stuck to the end.

What will happen if someday you land into an alien world with different traditions and cultures? Dr. Indira Vasudev aong with MetLee and the team is working on a project to travel to the space at Department of Extradimentional Vector (D.E.V). They were at the verge of their success but suddenly got attacked by a group of terrorists leaded by Dr. Indira's brother Mahesh who wanted to capture the Chariot (the project) as he claims to be his vision behind the project. To save the chariot MetLee flies it with full fuel and suddenly finds himself into a different world altogether witnessing a war. What will happen next? The book is a sci-fi with a touch of mythology that adds to the beauty of the book. The book is a very intriguing one with a well explained plot and the characterization is also upto the mark. Written in a very easy to understand language the book takes you to a thrilling ride. The smooth flow of the book kept me engaged till end and the excitement made me finish the book in almost on go as the book is not a long read. The way the experiences of MetLee are portrayed is worth the appreciation. The cover of the book is appropriate and attractive and title is perfect. Loved going through this blend of mythology and sci-fi and enjoyed every moment of this as it developed a great connection.
Dev is a story of Dr. Matang Leeladhar Swamy shortly known as Matlee who is working for research in the Department of Extradimensional vectors(D.E.V). He assisted Dr. Indira in making matter fly in the air as fast as light without losing its form. Eventually, as their experiment gets almost successful, Mahesh comes into the picture, and Matlee finds himself in a place where the kingdom and the Prince are fighting against Ten kings. Surprisingly after winning the battle Matlee finds himself in Banglore and is in dilemma to understand what is the reality. To embark on this journey with Matlee into this re-imagine where one would get to know how it could have been real, one must read the story. It was narrated so well that I could relate to Ramayana where the animals helped Lord Rama in building the bridge to Srilanka.
Review: - The cover and the title are apt for the story. - The plot is unique and is narrated well without a chance of confusion. - Though there are few technical terms but is easily understandable. - Characterization is very good, Matlee has been portrayed so well but I liked Medha more. - The war scene was described so well that I could imagine the Chariot flying in the air.
Overall, a very interesting story which is worth investing your money and time.
The story of 'DEV' revolves around a 'chariot' and breakthrough discoveries. After a couple of successful experiments, the facility of D.E.V (Department of Extradimensional Vectors), headed by Dr. Indra Vasudev, is attracted brutally. Without a choice, Matang Leeladhar Swamy, called as Mat Lee, flees with the chariot. In the attempt to make sure the technology doesn't fall into wrong hands, he attempts one big surge. When he wakes up later, he seems to be in a forest and witnesses incidents that make him doubt himself. . Like most other sci-fi movies/books, the story didn't make sense to me for a long time. A war is fought for a majority part of the book. Though the war descriptions aren't lengthy, it dominates the book. I feel that the author could have added more technological parts. Similarly, the ending is so confusing and incomplete. If a few explanations had been given, I would have felt more content. Still, I love the writing style of the author and a lot of sentences attracted me. My favourite one is where the author says that planets and galaxies aren't at rock's throw distance, but everything in space are rocks at the beginning. Though I prefer a lot of changes in the book, it is a good read.

The concept of this can be said Extradimensional vector which is what the title says D.E.V. Review - 1) The cover and the title of the book is nice and attractive. 2) The story is very well thought and framed. 3) The language used by the author is simple and easily understandable. 4) The flow of the book is well paced. 5) Overall, an amazing read. . . I recommend this book to all.
The story of Dev by Rishabh Dubey, starts with few scientists (Dr. Indira Vasudev and Matlee) working on a project in D.E.V which means Department of Extradimensional Vectors. They're trying to achieve something that hasn't done before and they eventually succeed by creating a chariot that can take you to different dimensions. Storyline revolves around character Matlee a ISRO fellow who saved invention from traitors & accidentally landed in ancient world. Here he met human as well as non human characters & experiences a famous war. I haven't found any uniqueness in this story. It’s a story of Dr. Matang Leeladhar Swamy who is also known as Matlee, working in the Department of Extra Dimensional vectors (D.E.V) as a researcher. The story revolves around technology and science, though it doesn’t make sense to me but losing yourself in the world beyond your imagination that’s what science fiction does to you.
The story has another character named Dr. Indira who also has some role to play in it. The book is divided into various chapters and each chapter seems so unusual to me but it’s all taken from sanskrit words like yatra, yuga, yagya, yuddha, yantra. The author has done an impressive job in creating these as every title has a meaning.
The language of the book is quite understandable which is good as mostly science fiction books are hard to read if one is not from a science background. I loved the writing style of the author which is astonishing as well as engaging. The cover of the book is well suited to the storyline. The characterization is done well.
Overall, I enjoyed it to the fullest and recommend all my friends to take the rollercoaster ride of this science fiction story.

Dev by Rishabh Dubey is a sci-fi story blends with ancient Indian mythology. The story starts when Dr. Indira Vasudev and her team about celebrate the moment of success of the project DEV, Department of Extradimensional Vector. They have been working to attain speed equal to that of light, in short traveling through the corners of space maintaining human lifetime. But a terrorist group lead by Mahesh attacks and proclaims his authority as the mission is all about his visionary. Matang Leeladhar Swamy, in short MatLee flies the chariot at full fuel to evade capture for a time. As soon as MatLee opens eyes, he finds himself in a mythological land where a battle of honour about to gear up. The tides of war move from one corner to another of the battlefield, but crowns the victory ? The story is intriguing, but initially the author stumbles to frame the plot and introduce characters. As soon as war starts, you can relate it with any mythological movie where the advantages of the day oscillates between two teams. Overall it was a great experience and I would like to recommend who likes the sci-fi subject .
Title: DEV The ravishing name DEV stands for Department of Extradimensional Vectors. The story revolves around Matlee who is working confidentially in ISRO under a special research. The story depicts the Indian history from the past and how this reform changed our country. The book revolves about what was before this research and what all changed after it. An eye-catching cover with a suitable and subjective name influences the reader to pick this book. It is a mixture of science, fiction and history. A must read book with an informative approach. Highly Suggested!!! Very nice expereince after reading it. Best pick of the day Cover: A very interesting cover becomes the choice of the reader. It has the same qualities Title: It is very suspenseful and attractive in all ways.
Dr. Indira Vasudev and her team has succeeded in the project DEV (Department of Extradimensional Vector). And In this project the scientists has to achieve the exact equal speed of light. 🐍Pros:- 👉Main characters were well described. 👉I liked the mixture science and mythology, it was unique concept. 👉Book cover as well as title was totally apt.
♻When I first took this book it looks interesting. At first few pages in the beginning story appears very much interesting but as the story moves further it became dull and confusing . l wouldn't be able to understand most of its parts. Terms used were tough and technical which makes this book unfit for beginners.
〽 This book is recommended for science fiction lovers and for the bibliophiles Rating :- 3.2/5🌟
🌺 Nothing could be more interesting than a blend of tradition and technology and this book is a perfect example of this.
🌺Book revolves around two major characters. One is Dr .Indira a nuclear physicist and chemical engineer Matang Leeladhar Swamy also famous as Matlee. Dr.Indira was working on for a project for a very long time now but was unable to find success. Her dream project had some hope now as she got associated with Matlee and together they formed the most inconspicuous yet the most futuristic wing of the organisation named D.E.V.( Department of extra dimensional Vectors)
🌺They both worked day and night to achieve the breakthrough and just when they thought that everything is good and celebrations were on their way.. something happened and they were attacked.
🌺Book is gripping and mysteries unfold as the pages are flipped. According to Author this book celebrates the heroes of the Epic in all their existent glory.
🌺 Language has many scientific terms. Pick this up if you love sci fi genre with a pinch of mythology.
Honestly speaking, I was expecting it to be a complete mythology book. It's title suggests that, doesn't it? DEV is generally associated with Gods, right? Well the book doesn't fall under the mythology category but is a science fiction.
I'm not a huge fan of science fiction because I feel, this genre takes too much liberty in terms of imagination.
But I think in this book the author has managed to find a perfect balance in the main genre and the sub genre of mythology. The Introduction of mythology at the right time did it for the book.
Essentially the book is about a project and how the project is attacked by some who think the project belongs to them. Again, if I've to be honest, the book reminded me of the film Robot. The film is based on a similar plot, only difference is that the film does not take a mythological route.
Overall the book is well written, it's a tried and tested concept, but there's still something different about this book which keeps you hooked to the book, it's definitely not a slow read therefore.
If you are interested in sci-fi, this must be your next pick.
