I'm so excited for the conclusion, whilst I don't think this book was as good as the first, I still loved it and I can't wait to read the next one. That cliffhanger 😭 I'm scared
What a beautiful sequel that simultaneously wrapped up the mysteries from Book 1 and left me dying for more. Rhett and Liss grow as people, both separately and together, and it's a joy to watch them tackle one impossible challenge after another. I really liked the style of this book that brought in other characters, too. Jakon (sp?) is an evil genius and I was fascinated with him. Normally I skip right past the chapters told from the adversary's point of view, but his were actually really good. I highly recommend this sequel, and I'll definitely be going to the third in this series.
Liss and Rhett can't be separated. This story is very compelling. I can't put it down for more than a few minutes at a time and that's because I have too, my eyes start crossing. It's a very emotional story too. The characters are the strongest I've seen in a long while. And the story Line is veried and yet not too complicated. Very good book.
Loved this book!! I thought Opal Smoke was so so good and I came into this one with high expectations. I was blown away. Rhett and Liss's romance is heartwrenching and beautiful. Their friends come more to the forefront in this book, which I loved because they're adorable and hilarious. The villains are believable and easy to hate. There were so many times when I laughed out loud or teared up. Off to finish the series now!
