When Anita is sent to Dahlington Academy she very upset its nothing like her mother described. It's sad and dreary.
When she learns her mom was part of the Tennis Club, Anita decides to try and join a club to make some friends only to discover that every club was shut down.
So she learns from Cruella how to start an Art club and gets straight to work!
Like the other stories in this series, the stories are cute and sweet, nice read for younger readers, and the artwork is nice. There needed to be more Cruella here, but it’s a decent read for the kids.
Delightful of Anita in her school years, meeting Cruella De Vil and trying to keep positive at her mum's old boarding school until meeting a puppy dalmation changes that. Great pictures.
This was adorable. I've always thought Anita was a Disney character to not receive as much focus and love as is lavished on others, like the princesses and villains. We see Anita as a lonely girl in boarding school, meeting Cruella de Vil for the first time, and someone else we know is attending the boy's school across the river. We also get to see how Anita and Perdita become lifelong friends. As they say, a girl's best friend is her dog. Will Anita ever get an Art club started at her school? Will she make friends with any of the girls? Will Perdita get confiscated due to the school's "no pet" policy? Read to find out the answers to these and other questions.
I enjoyed this story about Anita and Cruella at boarding school together. The headmistress and Cruella have managed to make life miserable for the girls at Dahlington Academy. When Anita's mother writes her about all the fun she had there, Anita finds new friends and decides to create an art club as Cruella has managed to disband all the other clubs. A good story for kids about problem solving, dealing with others, and fighting for what you believe in.
Look, I know these are kids books. Like, actually kids books, but I enjoyed the little set up of Anita and Cruella here! It was just a nice little read.
