It was better than I thought it would be from a mass produced series of Bible studies. Each chapter was broken down into sections with a brief explanation after each section. I found the explanations for the most part merely a retelling of what you just read. What I did like was the 'What Others Say' parts where they would include excerpts from other authors. Chapter review questions (with answers) was also helpful if you're using this for a Bible study group. I'm sure there are 'deeper' Bible studies but this Smart Guide series seems ok to me.
