The introduction is good and draws you in - however, by the end of the book I felt misled. This is not truly a book about how two people have deep reconciliation despite major differences; it is a book about how two people came to seek and then pursued their own agendas of "peace" in a political and economic sense.
Bassam Abu Sharif was a senior advisor to the late Yasser Arafat and currently serves as press officer of the PLO. He is the co-author, with former Israeli intelligence officer Uzi Mahnaimi, of The Best of Enemies about their roles in Israeli-Palestinian peace efforts. A member of the National Council of Palestine, he divides his time between Amman and Ramallah.More about Bassam Abu-Sharif
